Kihei Sands is a very comfortable condo right next to the ocean. It is clean, nicely decorated & recently remodeled, furniture looks new. I am a second generation guest. I was there with my parents in 1999, and back again about 15 years ago. My recent stay in June of 2024 was very enjoyable. My husband and I did the road to Hana, a sunset dinner cruise and went to Nakalele Blowhole, north of Kihei. We also did some shopping at nearby markets. We loved having a first floor unit with a view of the ocean. We spent a lot of time on our patio enjoying the nice weather and sound of the ocean. Love that there was plenty of tables and lounges for people to enjoy, plus boogie boards, kids sand toys, books, BBQ's and various other items to use while there. The staff were very friendly.

This was our 3rd time to Maui & staying at Kihei Sands and our 2nd time in this condo. We love sitting on the lanai watching the waves crash and the beach is just steps away. The condo is clean and well stocked. The King size bed is very comfortable and you can see the beach from the bedroom window. Its lovely to open the window and listen to the waves crashing. The property is clean and well maintained. It is wonderful to have management on-site. They are so helpful & personable. The pool is what I enjoy most and you are right on the beach so its the best of both worlds. The pool is clean, well taken care of and rarely busy. There are community floaties to use or you can also purchase at the ABC store down the street and they will fill them for you for an extra $1. Its a short walk down sugar beach to the ABC store, small farmers market, Kihei bakery & my favorite...Ululani's shave ice. I highly recommend any condo at Kihei Sands....you just can't go wrong. It's worth every penny!

This was a wonderful stay for us! Beautiful condo beach front it was an amazing view! Very clean property and well maintained pool on site was very clean. Management on site Connie was so very helpful to us and answered ALL of our questions and they are on site most of the day even give you their personal phone numbers if there is an emergency after hours so that was a great feeling to have someone always there to help! Our most fun moment would have to be the Calypso snorkel tour it was amazing and if you go you have to do it! Lava Rock was our favorite restaurant we ate there 3 times and it's only 10 mins away from the condo- best food and atmosphere ever! I highly recommend this condo recently updated and very clean!

Kihei Sands is such a wonderful place. Felt like home, and is on the absolutely indescribable Sugar Beach. This was our second time at Kihei Sands, and this time we were in Bente and Melvin's absolutely perfect condo A9. The condo was adorable and comfortable, and the oceanfront patio was breathtaking. 10 steps to the beach. Such beauty. We also experienced great service. We had the time of our lives! I highly recommend Kihei Sands, and we will definitely return when we can get back to Maui!

A little piece of heaven! The small community and beach access are our two main appeals to this property. It was 15 steps from our patio until my toes hit the sand!! Win win!! On the down side, this until was newly remodeled.... Poorly done, couch already stained, and what bothered us the most was the lack of upkeep. The unit was not cleaned, I had to clean it myself before I was able to enjoy. The comforter was filthy, we needed up only using a blanket on the bed.

This was our firt time back to Kihei Sands since the pandemic kept us away. We couldn't have been more pleased with everything about our stay this year. The unit is absolutely beautiful with all new furniture, flooring, painting, you name it. When we opened the door to the unit, it was so impressive we thought we were in the wrong unit! We have been coming to Kihei Sands now for nearly 40 years and will be coming back again and again as long as we can. Connie, Patrick, Lisa and all the team there are outstanding. The only issue we had was with the new Roku TV and no instructions. Thanks to the owners and everyone on site for all you continue to do to make sure our stays are perfect.

We have stayed at Kihei Sands for almost 30 years. This was the first time in a first floor unit. Loved the big lanai, and was perfect for my 89 year old mom who needed first floor access. The unit was nice, although a bit understocked. We’ve stayed in other units that had more amenities, like coffee filters, towel clips, etc. Minor things, tbh, but providing coffee and a coffee maker with no filters was frustrating. Fortunately had the lovely coffee on the patio every morning. We love Kihei Sands and will always stay here when traveling to Maui. This was a lovely unit and can’t be beat for beach, patio and pool access.

Our unit was just right, the complex is low-key and quiet and the staff worked very hard to keep us and everyone else happy. Would def stay there again. This is the only place I stay in Maui. My parents came here 28 years in a row starting when it first opened so my family has a long history here. In terms of A9 my only complaint would be that the couch was the same as 6 years ago which would be ok except there were stains on it as well as the front of it covered in a reddish coating of probably sunscreen oil mixed with the colour from outside. It made it look shabby. I also noticed my sliding door and front windows being cleaned the day I left which had not been done for me when I came in and it was something I noticed and was disappointed about (although I didn't say anything.) Just little things but one day there was no coffee until about 10 o'clock and for several days there was no sugar to go with it. Considering the expense to stay there I was surprised that certain staples weren't automatically there. For example Saran Wrap and tin foil, sugar cubes, windex, vim, only 4 pucks for the dishwasher for 16 days. Little things that just started to add up. My comments aren't meant to be whiney rather constructive comments.
But I love Kihei Sands and will come back.I know exactly what kind of a holiday I will be having and it never disappoints. The older fellow (roughly my age )who was on during the weekends was just great.

it is always amazing to me that I can walk out the front onto the beach, turn right and after 2 buildings only have the ocean on one side and the bird sanctuary on the other... and can walk for over an hour with hardly seeing anyone else other than those who are also loving being surrounded by nature ... and I love that Kihei Sands is low key and very friendly and that it is at the north end of Kihei, the quiet end! easy drive to shopping, restaurants, etc... I'll be back for sure!

This was our 9th year in a row that we have stayed at Kihei Sands.We love the location on Sugar Beach as you can walk for miles. Whale watching is prevalent right from the condos. We are very pleased with the attentiveness of the property management team.

This is the only place I stay in Maui. My parents came here 28 years in a row starting when it first opened so my family has a long history here. In terms of A9 my only complaint would be that the couch was the same as 6 years ago which would be ok except there were stains on it as well as the front of it covered in a reddish coating of probably sunscreen oil mixed with the colour from outside. It made it look shabby. I also noticed my sliding door and front windows being cleaned the day I left which had not been done for me when I came in and it was something I noticed and was disappointed about (although I didn't say anything.) Just little things but one day there was no coffee until about 10 o'clock and for several days there was no sugar to go with it. Considering the expense to stay there I was surprised that certain staples weren't automatically there. For example Saran Wrap and tin foil, sugar cubes, windex, vim, only 4 pucks for the dishwasher for 16 days. Little things that just started to add up. My comments aren't meant to be whiney rather constructive comments. But I love Kihei Sands and will come back.I know exactly what kind of a holiday I will be having and it never disappoints. The older fellow (roughly my age )who was on during the weekends was just great.

My husband and I were trying to count how many times we have stayed here. We think it is 6 times whether with larger family and friend groups or just the two of us. It really is great for family, friends or couples. We love the smaller size of the complex which makes it less populated and way more relaxed than other places we have stayed. However, the biggest plus of the Kihei Sands is the proximity to the beach. You simply cannot get any closer to the beach. Great for morning and evening walks, swimming and the views at sunrise and sunset are simple stunning!
The only issue we had this time was cleanliness of our particular unit. Our unit was not as clean as past visits. However, I will admit my standard are pretty darn high. I spent a little bit (maybe 30 mins) of time wiping a few things down and also vacuumed and mopped.
The property overall is very well maintained, aesthetically pleasing and very clean. The unit cleanliness has not been an issue in the past so I hope it was just a little miss.

It is somewhat redundant continuing to send in great reviews for our annual trek to Kihei Sands and the A-9 ocean-front unit! We had a wonderful time this year and so enjoy being able to relax and get our rejuvenation fix. Although the unit might benefit from a little upgrading (sofa, chairs primarily), it did not deter us from enjoying the unit and our time there. Taking our walks on Sugar Beach just steps from our lanai, BBQ-ing local fish for dinner, watching the glorious sun sets, and listening to the crashing of the waves lulling us to sleep were "just what the doctor ordered!" Grounds are beautiful and management pleasant and helpful. We couldn't ask for more. See you next year!

Kihei sands was a great located literally steps from the beach. The rooms was clean and ready upon arrival. Staff (Connie and Patrick)were all super friendly and helpful, and happy to accommodate any needs that arose.
One thing being a first timer to Maui is I didn’t realize how far Kihei was to the Lahaina side. However Kihei had a nice small town feel.
