The location is a good spot to explore either the north of south of the island as it is well connected to main roads. The rooms were clean enough.

The room descriptions on Booking.com are a total shambles. You don't get the room you think you are getting if you book directly on the website. We arrived in darkness at the agreed hour only to find the entrance gate locked. We had to deal with beggars trying to find the entrance, which turned out to be the locked gate. Inside the room itself, the floorboards were ridiculously squeaky in the room and the bath, one reason for paying for a nicer room was out of order! In addition, payment for this booking was supposed to be taken in advance was supposed to be taken in advance but wasn't. Finally, information on the access to the swimming pool on the Booking.com website was and and still is (as 7th May) wrong.

The warm and friendly welcome. When we arrive Catherine and her spouse were waiting for us outside to receive us. She made us feel like having a home away from home.

The feeling like coming home to good, old friends! A very warm and friendly atmosphere, a beautiful house with large and comfortable rooms, in a nice garden. A truly exceptional stay!

Everything was excellent and for business purposes (like for Ebene/Cybercity the location is very good), but it may be worth knowing that for holiday purposes, the location is only suitable in case one wishes to make excursions every day, as there are no beaches or other sights very near.

Maison d’hotes Coignet is a beautiful immaculate home with a lovely garden. Henri is a charming and gracious host and Catherine and Shakti are so warm and fun. the home is accessible by metro, which is easy to use. For visitors looking to experience Mauritian culture and hospitality, this is perfect. We will always remember the wonderful glass of wine and camaraderie we shared. Merci beaucoup.

Nothing

Everything was great. When we came to Mauritius, taxi driver was already waiting for us and drove us to a beautiful villa with great park in front of it, along with a pool. When we came, we were transferred to a better room. Everything was spotless, so unbelievably clean. The room was spacious with a terrace looking on the park. The breakfast was good, different every morning. Every day we get new bottles of water in the room. But, above all, the people in this villa were so great that I can't find the words to describe them. We felt like we were home or visiting dear friends. And I even think we did make new friends. They cooked for us in more than one occasion and drove us around the island. If there was an option to give more than 10 in this review, I would give them more. Like, maybe 50.

The fact that we have to go away.

The house is magnificent, with excellent amenities and beautiful furniture. The owner, Henry, has impeccable taste, and the service was both friendly and professional. The dinner with Henry was the highlight of my stay. A true gentleman! Merci beaucoup pour le tres bon diner.

Having to leave

Beautifully appointed property and a lovely welcome from host and his visiting sons . A delicious meal was prepared and birthday greetings and chocolates left in our room . Great French wine with supper.

We were mislead by garmin , maps and Sygic so took a lot longer than planned from airport .Clearly not the fault of the owner !
