Very good breakfast. Good selection of everything. Farmer house area. Nice walking area as well. Guesthouse also offers dinner. Commissary near by.

Fish smell. Stairs can be kept more cleaner and given a better look by changing the carpet pieces (we stayed on 2nd floor)!

It should have been a perfectly fine, if simple, gasthof experience...but see below for what it really was like!

We had a confirmed booking, but in this small part of Bavaria, apparently, a C-19 lockdown was imposed on Friday, and the hotel did not contact us to inform us of the fact, nor to help us find alternative lodging. We left two messages on their answering machine on Saturday, but no one returned our calls. So we arrived to find a closed hotel with no staff, and had to bang on the door to get the concierge's attention--who was far from friendly. In the end, he reluctantly allowed us to stay, but we had no food or beverage options, nor breakfast, and were in a kind of "ghost hotel." Not great! Then, upon check out, finally we met the manager...who apologized but then discounted the price by only 8 Euros (wow!).

Our large room was comfortable, well furnished and equipped. It also included a sitting area which is always appreciated. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, going out of their way to speak English with us. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our meals outside in the garden.

Wifi was not too fantastic.
