Donna was really welcoming. We liked the room and the location.

There was a very annoying noise 24/7. It was probably some kind of a/c or similar. It was kind of bothering and it kept going even at night.

Very clean, quiet, close to the beach and nice little garden.

We lived in the big apartment with 3 bedrooms for two weeks, got all you need. Beach, atm, supermarked, bus stop and travel agency very close.

To go to the beach you have to cross a very busy road.

The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The Apartments are located in the secound line behind the main road so traffic noise is no big deal.

We were told to buy our own toilette paper. Unfortunately the safe was not working. The kitchen offers only one plate for cocking.

The location is perfect, just a 5 minute walk to the beach and the local supermarket. There is also a variety of restaurants and other places to eat in the area. The apartment is well equipped and the staff are super friendly.

La Perla lies very central in La Gaulette but it’s quiet and nice. In the morning you wake up with singing birds. There is a supermarket nearby and a small beach. Also an ATM around the corner. If you want to rent a car I can recommend Ara Tours, who are nearby as well. The apartment had everything I needed. I cooked a couple of times and there is a rack if you need to do Laundry. Donna is very friendly and responds quick. Cleaning ladies also lovely.

Some of the apartment balconies are connected and that means you have to cross someone else’s balcony to get to the stairs. Can be awkward, although I personally didn’t mind and the person next to me didn’t seem to care either.

Donna as a host was great, organised transfers for us and was always contactable. The apartment was nice (penthouse) and had everything we needed. Daveenah cleaned the apartment every 2-3 days and was very helpful too. The complex is down a driveway from the main Pereybere road so it does not have sea views but it is very quiet (which I think is more important). This is ultimately a self-catered apartment so access to a supermarket is an imperative; Winners is a short walk away and has everything you need. There are stalls like Chez Vanessa on the beach (opposite the complex entrance) serving mine and riz frite at a good price and plenty of other places to eat a walk away such as D'ernys, Mam Gouz, IJ's Grill, SANA and fast food available from Mississippi Fried Chicken. For amazing cakes try Oh My Cake! which is next to the apartments. In summary, if you are looking for somewhere a bit quieter than Grand Baie and want to have a base for excursions, somewhere to make breakfast/lunch, options to eat out but with clean towels, bedding etc. provided, La Perla is perfect. We'll be coming back.

Perfect location, close to everything. Donna was extremely helpful, assisted with transfers and tours.

the actual property is located down a gravel type road/path which is bumpy and uneven so a trip hazard, also quite dark at night so needs better lighting to avoid falling down over.

Dona was an amazing host, very helpful and friendly. The place is simple but very comfortable and cozy. The garden provided tranquility and space to relax. Beach was just few steps away. Excellent value for money. Would definitely come stay again :)

It could use some coziness and someone should probably have a look at the pipes, they smelled

Wifi acceptable for remote working during the day. Download speed was usually around 30Mbps. However during evenings as there were more people in the hotel, the connection was very slow. I recommend buying local sim card with data for video calls.

Possibility to buy breakfast would be great

Very nice place, close to the beach but not directly on the street. Safe, clean, equiped. The manager Dona is great, ready to help you anytime. Recommended place.

Great location, very close to the beach and restaurants. There is a small supermarket close to the building (a bigger one 5 mins away), scuba center and an agency where you can book different trips and activities. You can admire the sunset in a very chic location from across the street (very good cocktails). Donna was an amazing host, from the moment we arrived until our departure.
