This property exceeded our expectations. It was clean and lovely and the perfect place for a week of relaxation and recovery. We had Csrla the cook and housecleaner make several meals for us and they were just perfect. The pool is refreshing and clean and provided refreshment from the heat and sun. Every night we delighted in watching the sun set from the patio. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds and linens were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are large and well appointed with very effective air conditioning. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Art has a beautiful house. The views are spectacular and the private pool is awesome. It was heavily used! Be aware if you don’t have a car you will need to use taxis to get off the hill. I recommend getting one guys number and regularly using them. This is a great place for a family retreat.

The property was as described. Beautiful view. Nice clean pool. Well-appointed kitchen. Very safe neighborhood. You will need a car or taxi to get anywhere (high up the mountain overlooking Las Gatas beach and the bay.

This is a wonderful house in a gated community in the hills of Zihuatanejo. The views from the terrace are amazing, looking out toward the Pacific Ocean to one side and the bay to the other, with amazing evening sunsets (and even a combination of sunrise and the waning moon in the mornings). The location of the property gives you easy access to lovely beaches, a charming town, and fun day trips, like snorkeling, kayaking, horseback riding and other activities, in the area. The house, including 4 bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms, feels spacious, clean and well-equipped and serviced. My wife and I stayed for just over a week together with our two teenage daughters - and we all loved it.

Where to begin! We had a fantastic stay at this casa. The home is gorgeous with a wonderful three-story lay out, and a most stunning view of the ocean. We enjoyed stunning sunsets nightly followed by breathtaking stars. There was always a light breeze, so it was never too hot to enjoy the deck. There were only 4 of us - me, my husband and our two teenagers (13 and 14) - but we made use of every inch of the house and appreciated the spaciousness. The house is bright, airy, quiet, very well kept and comfortable. We purchased groceries at the front end of our stay that kept us supplied for breakfasts and several lunches. We hired Carla, the housekeeper, three nights, and she cooked up fantastic Mexican meals that were among our favorite meals of our trip. It was helpful to have her feasts at the end of touring days. Art was very responsive on the front and back end of our stay and went above and beyond to help us. Gloria, the property manager, was equally responsive and helpful. We felt completely safe in the gated community and the security guards were very friendly and took their jobs seriously. Zihuat is our favorite town in Mexico now. It's quaint, beautiful and not teaming with gringos. Quite the contrary, there's an authenticity to life and the people in Zihuat. Brush up on your Spanish before traveling, as you'll find it helpful for getting around. Also save some money for the end because you'll want to tip a lot of awesome helpers.

We stayed at Casa Cascada and let’s just say it’s perfection. From the Infiniti pool, to the large bedrooms and bathrooms, AC in every room and the constant dedicated service of Gloria and Carla our trip was one of the best we’ve ever had! The home is immaculate and we enjoyed every minute of our stay! Thank you!

We were more than pleased with our stay at Casa Cascada. As so many others have mentioned, the house is superbly appointed (especially the kitchen) with stunning views. The house is uniquely situated atop a steep hill with views of the both the bay and the open ocean. We were fortunate to see whales from the balcony during many days of our visit. The villa is attractively decorated and comfortable with lovely vegetation and landscaping. We had four adults/two couples staying here and it was a perfect place for us to socialize or have quiet/private time.
We loved spending time by the pool, watching sunsets over the bay, and taking walks a bit further up the hill to watch the sunrise. The neighborhood is quiet. The gate staff were super friendly and helpful.
Carla! Highly recommend a dinner (or more) with Carla. Her cooking is delicious--as good or better than any restaurant in town. She also came twice during our visit for cleaning. Gloria, the property manager, was super helpful and responsive.
This was our first trip to Zihuatanejo and it's already among one of our favorite places in part because of where we stayed. For those new also new to the area: it is about a 10 minute drive La Ropa. We had rented a car and didn't mind the drive. In fact, each trip up and down the hill provided an opportunity for break-taking scenery. We've heard from many others that cabs are super affordable and easily accessible.
This is a special place and highly recommended.

Location has great views up on the hill over looking las gatos and the bay. Nice views of the ocean and watched humpback whales jumping from our pool area. Problem is you are on top of a hill and the walk is long. We got a number of a taxi guy from the gate and if he could not come get us he had friends that could. Jesus would take us to the market and would hang out with us while we got our fresh fish and he would introduce us to all of his friends. He spoke great English and was very helpful. Only reason I gave a three star on check in is our prearranged shuttle from the airport did not show up and the new driver had no idea where we were going

Casa Cascada is even better than the pictures. The expansive view is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet and tranquil, and the house is comfortable and spacious. Communication with both the owner and the property management company was easy, and everyone was very helpful and kind (including Gloria bringing us groceries when my husband was ill). We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend.

Quiet and comfortable view home
Casa Cascada was a lovely place for our family trip to Zihuatanejo. It was comfortable for eight of us, each bedroom has A/C and en suite bathroom and the common area is spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and everything was in good working condition. The local host was helpful to arrange transportation to and from the airport and purchase groceries ahead of our arrival. We were met at check in and provided specific property information. A house cleaner came every other day and the pool was cleaned twice during our 8-day stay. The neighborhood is very quiet and gated. The views are beautiful. We did not rent a car. We walked to Playa La Ropa (1.4 mi/2.25 km), but used transportation to return up the very steep hill. The helpful gate security can call taxis and there is often microbus waiting close to the gate. Even though this home overlooks Playa Las Gatas the “walking” route could not be accessed so we had to use water taxi service from the Zihuatanejo pier. This was a nice quiet retreat from the busy towns and beaches and we felt very well cared for during our stay.

Excellent Stay
All I can say is positive… communication with both the owner and the on-site property manager was smooth and friendly; the location of the villa provides an expansive view of the ocean and sunsets. If you like sunrises, a short walk to the top of the hill provides unobstructed 360 degree views. The Villa itself is private, secure, and stunning. Views from all rooms including a couple showers. Very well stocked with kitchen essentials also. We have stayed in many villas and this one ranks near the top. We will be seeking this one out again on future trips to Zihua.

Beautiful home with dual views of the Zihuatanejo bay and ocean!
We just spent 2 weeks at this home and loved it. We had a group of adults and kids so we wanted a private pool and spacious living area. Gloria, the property manager, was in contact w me all week helping with recommendations for fishing and restaurants. Carla and Francisco kept the house in sparkling and lovely condition.
The pool area is gorgeous and fun! We loved watching all the boats and whale spouts from deck. We had a fantastic vacation and can’t wait to return!

Quiet paradise with stunning views
We just returned from our fabulous vacation in Zihuatanejo. The home, and breathtaking views, are as gorgeous as pictured. The house comfortably housed the three couples in our party—the open common areas were great for meals and relaxing, while the bedrooms with their own private bathrooms and balconies offered privacy. The patio and infinity pool are amazing, a wonderful way to start the morning and end each day. To be honest, it was hard to pull ourselves aways from the house and pool each day, they were so nice.
The home is located within a secure gated community, in the hills overlooking the town. It's quiet and peaceful, with stunning views. We even saw whales from the pool! The front gate security was very thorough and helpful with calling for cabs when needed. When returning to the house, they would also guide the cabs with a moto to ensure we found the property each time.
Location-wise, it is a bit removed from the beaches and town, and generally requires short cab-rides to get anywhere. It's about a 25-30 minute, steep walk down to La Ropa Beach. If you have any mobility issues, we do not recommend the walk. A cab to Zihua Centro is ~90 pesos; a cab to La Ropa Beach is ~70 pesos; a cab to Playa Linda in Ixtapa is ~350 pesos; and to the airport is ~450 pesos.
The house is well stocked with linens, beach towels, everything you need in the kitchen, pool noodles, and even some board games. The host and onsite staff were great communicators, very prompt, and always helpful. The refrigerator had a cooling issue one day during our stay, and within 30 minutes Gloria and Denise were there with a mini fridge and ice as well as a repairman to fix the big fridge. They made sure everything was working again as fast as possible that day. Carla, the housekeeper, came every 3 days and was very friendly and thorough.
As other reviews have mentioned, the house is located in a very lush surrounding. With having the accordion doors open most of the time, you do need to be mindful of potential insects coming inside. We did have a few strange insects and two scorpions wander in during the evening when the bugs seemed more active. But, just be mindful and you'll be fine.
Overall, we had a wonderful vacation, and would highly recommend this house to anyone!

Beautiful property with stunning sunsets
This house is everything we thought it would be. Very quiet and well kept with comfortable beds and furnishing. We felt very safe in the gated community. There isn't much within walking distance but it's a short cab ride to La Ropa or Zihuatanejo typically costing 70 to 90 pesos per ride. The sunsets here are the most amazing I've ever experienced in my life. I highly recommend this property.

Fabulous Views, Lovely House
The house is located in a gated development located on a hill overlooking Zihautanejo Bay. The staff at the gate takes security seriously and does rounds around the development to keep things secure.
The house itself has wonderful views from the main floor, where there is a terrace with a small infinity pool. The bedrooms also have excellent views, and at least the two mian bedrooms had sitting spaces outside (not sure about the two smaller bedrooms). The two large bedrooms have large en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers and built-in wardrobes.
The house is impressively well built with very solid interior walls that are very soundproof. The kitchen is pretty well equipped The neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet.
We had the housekeeper, Carla, cook dinner for us on two nights, and she did a wonderful job of preparing a Mexican home-cooking dinner.
I definitely intend to return to this property. Highly recommended.

Best Christmas EVER!!!!!
We stayed at Casa Cascada for the week of Christmas and all 6 of us had a wonderful experience. Our kids range from 3-12 and although at first the many stairs had me nervous, we had not one issue. The house was clean and very comfortable, we were blown away by the unbelievable view and the kids were in the pool as often as we would let them every day. My husband and I loved the closets and are considering a similar idea for our own home.
This was our first visit to Mexico as a family, and we LOVED Zihuatenejo. The house would have been hard (we arrived late in the evening, which didn’t help) to find but we were guided by one of the guards on a motorcycle and were good to go from there.
The house is convenient to town and the lovely nearby beaches. Also not too far from Ixtapa. We went 3 times over our week. Good meals or groceries are easily acquired from Casa Cascada. Definitely recommend eating fish tacos and guacamole on the beach as often as possible.
I would recommend this property whole heartedly! Would love to come back! Thank you Art for renting to us!

Stunning!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Cascada. The home was beautiful and the view from the pool magnificent. Carla prepared several meals for us, all of which were delicious. The location was close enough to town but remote enough to enjoy the serene landscape and peaceful community. Highly recommend this property - exceeded all of our expectations!

This was our second stay at Casa Cascada, and it was fantastic. We had eight people in our group this time, and all were highly pleased with everything. This home is clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. Each room allows complete privacy, and it is nice how quiet it is even with a number of people in the same home. The views are incredible!Remember to be sure to conserve water as much as possible. It might be good, perhaps, to have friendly reminders/notes for guests about this. While standing on the patio, we were lucky enough to see whales on two different days - the second time we watched them for around 1/2 hour. Though they were a distance away, we could clearly see them, and it was awesome. We also saw a tarantula two different times, which was also very cool. Scary, yes...a little, but interesting, too. Just remember that you are in Mexico and you are in their "territory", so you need to keep an eye out for all kinds of critters. We took two taxis to and from the home a number of times, and the security personnel working the main gate were terrific. We would strongly recommend staying at this home, and we are definitely considering it for future vacations in Zihua.

Clean and well kept property with nice ocean view in safe development
We've stayed in a number of homes in Cerro Del Vigia and this ranks up there with them. Close to town and beaches but has great privacy. I'd recommend this home. Tom

Beautiful home with spectacular views!
My family stayed at this Cerro del Vigia home in February of 2018, and we were 100% happy with everything. The spacious home is beautiful, and the views are nothing short of spectacular. The home is equipped with pretty much everything you would need, and then some. It is private and secure. I just can't say enough positive things about it.
We loved the views off the Ocean side of the home (they are quite surreal), the private deck and infinity pool were wonderful, the furnishings were very comfortable, the bedrooms were fairly soundproof (especially if you sleep with the air conditioning on, which we only did one or two nights), all of the rooms were spacious, the grounds/gardens were beautiful, I could go on and on.
The guards at the security gate were very prompt and courteous. The home was cleaned twice during our 8 day stay; they did a very nice job with everything and left nice little touches throughout the house. We did not see them as we left for the day each time they were there.
There are only a couple minor things - the indoor waterfall is very pretty and inviting, but it is noisy; it would be nice if the water flowed more quietly down the wall. As it is, we didn't leave it on much because it was just too noisy. Also, you have to accept that getting to the home is just a bit more trouble than other properties in the area - but it is very much worth the effort to drive/climb up the steep inclines where you will ultimately enjoy the secure location with amazing scenery and ocean views. The wifi didn't reach all areas of the house, which was a somewhat minor inconvenience (my daughters might beg to differ since they couldn't get much wifi in the bedroom they were in). Also, just make sure to keep your eyes open for critters - you will likely have the patio doors open at times, and you never know what might creep in. And, after all, you are in Mexico, and there are certain things you don't want to join you in your home.
We would definitely consider staying at this property again in the future, and I suggest you strongly consider booking it for your family. I believe you will be just as happy as we were!

Awesome and Relaxing Vacation Spot in Zihua
We were so lucky to find Casa Cascada. It was truly perfect for what we had in mind. The home is well kept and very well stocked. Prior to our visit and throughout our stay everyone was very helpful and responsive. The infinity pool is incredible, the bedrooms and bathroom suits were fantastic, and the common areas were comfortable yet elegant. We will definitely be back.

Cerro del Vigia - Casa Cascada
Casa Cascada is a beautiful villa, with a spectacular view! Clean and well maintained. The pool was a wonderful place spend the day! The owner occupied the 5th Bedroom "apartment" during our stay, but we would not of known he was there. It was hard to venture out from such a great place, but when we did a quick call to the front gate brought a taxi promptly. 100 pesos would get you anywhere around town. We had the fridge stocked ahead of our arrival but did very little cooking. The number of excellent places to eat, and the low cost of a meal makes cooking yourself kind of silly. Just check the info at villa for recommendations. We enjoyed La Perla as a place on La Ropa beach for drinks and a snack. We bumped into the owner there and he bought us a drink!
Our ten days were not enough. We would return in a heartbeat. Although there were only two of us, the place would accommodate three or even four couples without a problem. Each bedroom having a nice view and beautiful bathroom. The sunset cruise on the Pincante was lots of fun, as was the Sunday evening locals gathering in centro by the basketball court. Join the fun and eat off the many food carts!
Thank you, Arturo! Via con dios!

We really love this place!!
We have stayed at Casa Cascada a couple times and really love this place! The owner, housekeeper and cooks consistently go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay to the fullest. The location is in the nicest part of Zihua and has some of the best views around. Having a private pool is very convenient and sometimes we dont even want to leave the house. The house layout is perfect for the environment and its surroundings. If you like to cook the kitchen is stacked with everything you need. The rooms all have AC and ocean views. You can walk to las gatas beach in 10-15 minutes for snorkeling or getting something to eat on the beach. The security guys, especially Albert, are some of the friendliest people we encounter on our stay. I recommend Casa Cascada for anyone looking to stay at one of the nicest properties in Zihua and we cant wait to go back!

Awesome spot!
We stayed in the house for a week and it was pure relaxation. It is new construction and a great, spacious layout. The great room/kitchen is fantastic for chilling or entertaining. The doors all completely fold back to open the whole room to the infinity pool and the amazing views. The bedrooms are large and comfortable with all new modern fixtures. Carla, the cook and housekeeper, was excellent and very sweet. It is also easy to get around town. The beaches are beautiful and surfing is top-notch. The owner was also very nice and accommodating. He gave us great local tips and we had no problem getting a hold of him for any questions or issues. Overall, just a great vacation. We will definitely be back as soon as we can!!

Hard to beat!
We stayed here with our adult family of 7 and everyone enjoyed what this house had to offer. We originally didn't think we would spend much time at a house here, but with the view, west exposure, infinity pool and layout, we spent much of our time there relaxing, socializing and eating. The housekeeper Carla cooked authentic local meals that were as good as any of the restaurants we went to. The location is near the end of the road and up a steep hill above the best beaches on Zihuatanejo bay. The gated subdivision is very quiet and private, but a short ~$6 taxi ride to town. You can walk to the beach downhill in 15 mins with sections on a steep path, so you probably want to taxi back. Gloria and Denise with the property management company are very helpful and attentive for both house service and local information and arrangements. Of our many vacation rentals in the past years, this home is right at the top!

Zihuat Splendor
My husband and I stayed at this house for a week and cherished every moment. Logistical management was seamless between owners, property management and security staff. Everyone was more than helpful when it came to requesting taxis, suggesting and coordinating local activities, dining, etc. We were like children again as we swam with the dolphins at the Dolphin Adventure in Ixtapa, a short and inexpensive cab ride away. We rented palapas and lounged on the beach at the Viceroy (formerly The Tides) until mid-day, then came home to relax in the exquisite infinity pool. The accommodations are 5 star. The security at the property (a gated community) is excellent, and we felt very safe at all times (Gilbert went above and beyond daily to make sure our needs were met – thank you!). We experienced kindness and generosity when interacting with local residents/business owners. We ate at so many different places, tempted by the variety of cuisines…Amuleto was our absolute favorite – reservations are a must, but the food and ambiance were outstanding, and, you can walk there! Needless to say, we cannot wait to return. We want to sincerely thank the owners for sharing their piece of paradise with us.

As describe plus some
Had a great week at Casa Cascada. The entire experience had a great match of my expectations and reality. The owner is prompt and communicative. His property is as described and the pictures do not do justice to what changes so frequently with the setting sun on the huge patio creating a different scene every evening. The development is safe and secure. Taxi's are prompt. The property management staff coordinated many things for us and communicated well. I have not constructive feedback; it was a very relaxing time and smoother than staying in a luxury resort.
The very best thing was arranging to have the housekeeper work the entire week, taking care of all cleaning and cooking. Carla, sister of property manager Denise, was superb. She is a great cook with plenty of smiles, and a warm heart.

My wife and I and two other couples spent 7 fabulous nights at this house in May. The house is a new construction home with all the modern amenities one would desire while one vacation, including wireless internet, a large flat screen TV with Sky satellite service and modern appliances. We especially enjoyed the views watching the sun go down while enjoying a refreshing cocktail poolside. The house is located in a gated community that is patroled 24/7 by security. Security checked our cab drivers credentials each time we entered and each time we left the gated community. This made our group feel 100% comfortable and safe at all times. The owners of the home are very responsive to emails, which made the transaction pain free. We highly recommend this home to everyone. For the price and the amenities offered, this house is second to none! Thank you!!

I stayed here for a week with my 2 young children. Absolutely fabulous house. Friendly guards at the front gate, rented a car and drove round town. Close to the Tides resorts where we spent time swimming and para-sailing, jet skiing, banana boating. The views from every room are amazing! I would recommend this house for anyone who travels in this part of mexico. Clean and modern, fabulous pool as well.

My family spent the week before Christmas at Casa Casada. We loved the house - it was spacious with 4 bedrooms, had a magnificent view of the sunset on the water and was very modern with all the needed cooking supplies, dinnerware and glasses. The dining area easily sat 8. Much attention to detail went into the design and construction of the house. The grounds were very secure and well guarded with frequent tours by the security guards. Tennis courts were available, even in the evenings.
The house is at the top of a hill so it is convenient to have a car to get down to the various activities in the town below, although I was told that taxis were easily available. The beach is about a 7 min ride from the house. La Perla was very accommodating with respect to rentals of chairs and umbrellas and food on the beach. We have rented in various locations in Mexico and this was the best accommodations by far. We will definitely think about returning next year.

We just returned from a week stay at Casa Cascada and loved it! The house is very comfortable and provides wonderful views. There were 8 of us and with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms it was perfect for us. The dining room table has 8 chairs and that was great when we all wanted to have dinner together.
The sunsets at night from the patio were absolutely beautiful!
The guys at the front gate went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of and felt safe. Gilbert was expecially friendly and made the rounds several times a day. One of the property owners came by to show us around when we arrived and was available if we needed anything.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing vacation in a house that has everything and is only a short taxi ride into town.
