We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brookside Barn. The directions provided were clear and the contact with the hosts about key collection was excellent. The house itself was really cozy and we immediately felt at home. The bedrooms were large and the beds really comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room was lovely.
The shops are a short walk away and there is a really nice kids park just over the road that my daughter loved.
Everything we wanted to do in the Peak District was easily accessible from Brookside Barn, we'd definitely like to stay here again. If it's ever available! :-)
The weather ;-) Although, thankfully we had waterproofs, so it didn't stop us getting out and about.

It is so comfortable here. Andrrw & Jane are so friendly and welcoming. I have been here a few times now and it's like coming home.

Brookside Barn was very relaxing, cosy yet spacious too! In a lovely location too by the brook. The owners have thought of everything, lots of lovely little touches.

Very good location for walking and sightseeing. The owners have tried to think of everything including providing scones and biscuits. Good welcome pack including advice on local pubs and suggested walks. The cottage is in very good condition and well maintained. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

The cottage was very comfortable with everything in place. Location was good, not too noisy.

It’s always a great experience when the property you picked is even better in real life than the photos! The rooms are bigger than the pictures show, and the layout is great as the bedrooms are separated by a landing with the bathroom in the centre, so for two couples sharing it afforded lots of space and privacy. There is nothing that Jane hasn’t thought of - from scones and milk on arrival to being able to find niche items like a pizza cutter and a plaster (not related to each other!!) the cottage is perfectly and thoughtfully equipped. We couldn’t recommend Brookside Barn highly enough.

Very nice cottage, clean, cosy, easy parking and friendly owner living next door. Local shop and pubs within a few minutes, nice stream and park right opposite the cottage.
Reasonably satisfied with the area, think I would prefer to stay in Castleton next time I visit. Other than that, great cottage & host.
