Location was good and the room was clean and modern.

Mattress was a little on the uncomfortable side, there was a green fire safety light above our internal door which lit the room up at night and the floor boards in the room above were very noisy - woke us up in the morning. Breakfast experience was a little strange in that you had to order cereals/fruit/juice and coffee etc - used to helping ourselves to this before we order anything cooked.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The food portion was very generous. The surroundings were so peaceful

the staff were friendly and super helpful. the beds were comfortable and clean. it was oldy worldy and that’s why I picked it.

the shower door had the handles on the wrong side of the door making it difficult to get out and to turn off the shower you had to turn the water to freezing

They let us check in early which was very helpful as we had a wedding to get ready for

Hotel was very dated with an unpleasant smell. soap and shower gel dispensers were filled with mouldy soaps. the walls were very thin and were woken up at 4.40am by another room.

Breakfast at the time we were there was very busy and was rather disorganized. The person seating guests was not the person taking breakfast orders (so didn't know who came in when). We eventually had to call a staff member over to take our breakfast order.

Everything! I always return here when I'm working in the area. The breakfast is far superior to the Premier Inn at Ashby. They provide proper sized helpings and freshly cooked. The restaurant is excellent with a wide selection of freshly prepared food in proper sized helpings.

Noise from the kitchen machinery in bedroom. Breakfast tea was a bag & cup of hot water. If you’re going to make food to order surely you can make proper tea in a pot?!

Very noisy room above bar toilet. I could hear the hand dryer going off and on like a hoover. Room 26. Dangerous step in corridor with no warning. Steep stairs up to rooms very narrow.

I asked for an accessible room as my daughter and I have a lot of health problems. We were given the most lovely little bungalow type room with its own car parking space. We had tea bed and breakfast, everything was perfect, great food and price, next time we're in the area will definitely stay again.

The bedroom is on the road which was very noisy. You couldnt open the window because of the noise and there was no air conditioning. Felt stifled. We had just done a 6 hour drive from Scotland and we were starving. We bought 2 pizza's. Absolutely awful. We ate the one which was thick dough which wasnt cooked through. We didnt eat the other pizza. We just wanted to eat and go to sleep so we didnt complain. (We should have). Worst pizza i have ever eaten.

This hotel exceeded my expectations by a long way. It was truly great value for the money. There was a very good pub bar menu and the food we had was excellent. The room was good and a very comfortable bed. I thought the staff we attentive without being intrusive.

The marmalade at breakfast was without orange bits, so sad. (tongue in cheek)

My room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable indeed. The breakfast was filling and the hotel's location is very quiet, so it's a good place to stay if you want a peaceful time.

The only problem I encountered was a very slight one - the shower in my room took a lot of strength to turn on and off. The hotel is in a very quiet area indeed, so it's great if you want to rest and relax, but it wouldn't be great for anyone looking for a lively time.

A lot of parking spaces in front of building. Staff are very friendly.

No lift and need to carry baggage to go to upper floor.
