A nice hotel at a perfect location. Quiet and calm. Excellent breakfast with warm bread, oven omelette, pancakes etc.

The hotel is in the heart of the old city and a significant part of it. The rooms are extremely small, which is typical for the old buildings. The space is used in a wise way.
It could be quieter from the city square. Still, we slept with open windows; The breakfast was excellent but repetitive. I would appreciate a porridge from time to time.

The location was perfect. Rooms were clean and the breakfast fantastic (lots of berries, vegetables, smoothies etc).

It is a very central and allows you to avoid renting a car. Everything is reachable at walking distance. Rooms are decent and breakfast has a lot of home made choices.
We paid quite a lot for the 2 nights, it was the medieval week in Visby so that contributed to illogical pricing for sure. The rooms have only shower curtains and not proper showers...i think this is not correct when paying almost 200EUR per night.

The location, staff, and my room specifically were great. My room was small, as I expected after reading the reviews, but it had a view of the ocean and had a very cozy vibe (I was right under the roof on the third floor in more of an "attic-like" room which I preferred since it was so quaint).
It could get hot and since there isn't AC (?) I was sweating quite a bit after sleeping sometimes. But after opening the window that helped a lot to clear out the air.

don’t stay in the family room; it is basement level with two windows on street (tarmac) level facing a parking lot and thus exhaust fumes enter and a lot of noice from the neighboring restaurant. So you need to keep the windows closed which makes the air stuffy and warm.

We booked at the Hotell Gute but were actually moved to Breda Blick, Hotell Gute's sister property, due to renovations -- but since they're run by the same folks I feel I can leave a review! We found the Hotell Gute/Breda Blick staff to be totally kind and welcoming and so proactive in their communication. They ordered us a taxi to the airport and packed up a to-go breakfast for us (very good breakfast options, too!) since we had to check out before breakfast opened to make a flight. I obviously can't speak to Hotell Gute's facilities but we found Breda Blick's beds and provided amenities comfortable; both properties are very well-located and Visby is gorgeous. We would definitely stay with the Breda Blick/Hotell Gute team the next time we visit!

Gute is a small cosy hotel, close to everything in Visby.
Sorry but it was very hot in the room during day and early evening. Fan but no AC.
No breakfast was served at the hotel during
our stay. Due to corona. The breakfast at the
Hotel Breda Blick was very Good but costed 130 kr.
Our room was only cleaned every second day.

The breakfast was not included and not on the premises but I heard it was very good.
The room had a nice view, was quiet and confortable.
In our case we needed to store our bagages before being able to get the room and we could do so at the sister hotel a 10 minutes walk away. Since our luggage were heavy and the road paving irregular, it was a bit inconvenient.
