And absolutely stunning view. I could have watched the waves all day. I did report a couple of issues, and the management company promptly responded. However they entered the apartment while we were gone without any notification. I hope they get the electrical problems fixed, the lights flickered constantly which could be a problem for some people.

If you are only concerned about an incredible view - this is the place for you. This is unquestionably a spectacular view (you can't be any closer without actually being in the ocean). However, we had issues. First, the garage key was not in the lockbox - which was didn't matter since our Chevy Malibu was too long to fit. I hadn't noticed in the listing that there is no AC. This is important when you book in the summer (especially during a heatwave) but that was my fault for not checking. When we arrived, it felt like it was 90 degrees inside. The blinds were all open (I am sure to showcase the view but this also allowed the sun to heat up the place). We opened the windows, only to find that many of them did not have functional locks. This is a first floor unit... We also noticed that the unit needed some serious deep cleaning/maintenance. For example, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, allowing black mold in the shower and by the window. The management company said they could not get someone out until the next day. One window had a screw that was put in place to keep it closed (though unsuccessfully). This was clearly a known problem. It is irresponsible to knowingly rent the unit in that condition. They asked if we could run to a hardware store to get wooden dowels as a temporary fix (which my husband did). They were able to send someone that night, but the fix was PCV piping cut like the dowels. We also killed a LARGE cockroach each night of our stay.

We loved the location and property. We were disappointed with the neighbors. Not so sure what side of the building but they were loud. One morning fighting at 6:30 a.m. and the singing at the top of his lungs with a guitar. Then one evening/morning 1:00 or so loud with their antic that we had to sleep on the couches and close all the windows. The one other early morning with a loud stereo and tv. I usually can sleep through anything, but not these two.

We loved the sound of waves crashing the moment you walk through the gate up to the door. The view was mesmerizing. The space upon entering was just like pictured. Location was perfect for walking to nearby shops and restaurants with our two girl toddlers pulling them in their wagon. We loved the environment, the succulents, cacti, lime trees, floral in the yards and sheer beauty the Ocean Beach area offers. Accessing the garage was easy (although very tight and tedious to park in, but we managed with my husbands skills as long as we got out every time before he parked it), and receiving and entering the codes for the door to the home gave us no trouble. Wi-fi worked great, easily able to get into our Netflix and Disney accounts for the girls. Disneyland about an hour and a half drive. San Diego zoo only 15 minutes. Loved watching the surfers at low tide and we saw dolphins! My husband even tried surfing down by Ocean Beach pier, renting a surf board and wetsuit from The Shed. Newbreak Coffee and Cafe right next door to that was amazing food and coffee also. Definitely recommend this rental, would stay again :)

As other guests mentioned, the view was out of this world. It was honestly the highlight of our trip. We also love that we could walk down the stairs to the beach, and OB and Sunset Cliffs were only a short walk. This place really needs some TLC though. We had issues with the toilet leaking dirty water on the floor. We contacted Vacasa, but received no response. We ended up having to continuously leave towels on the floor, and wore shoes while entering the bathroom. Be prepared to come with all the essentials. There wasn’t even hand soap for the bathroom. The kitchen was decently equipped; however, lacked food storage options/plastic wrap. Bedding was cheap and evenings were chilly. Extra blankets would go a long way.

Wonderful view good location to most things in area…. Place itself was good I wouldn’t say great but definitely served it’s purpose and the price point was fair for a view like that. The area rug didn’t appear to be vacuumed based on stuff I found on it when we got there and the ice maker was frosted over but we just bought a bag of ice to get through our stay.. I would suggest leaving a little coffee for the first morning at least. The bathroom is pretty basic and the tiny powdered soap and shampoo was a little strange but better than nothing I guess if in a bind.. the sheets appeared clean and the beds were comfortable enough..all in all a good stay and we would stay again in the future I would note that the washer and dryer is in the very small garage and you have to open the garage door every time you go in or out of there to do the laundry which takes some strength and patience to deal with… but the place grew on us the longer we were there 😊

It started out poorly with two issues: we arrive after traveling all day and there is NO bath soap to wash with! No body soap anywhere. There is also NO street parking. Bring a small car to fit in the tight garage. We had a larger Kia and had to manage to squeeze in several times a day; it was a nightmare. Called CS about no soap, they just gave an excuse for the house cleaner. They only left 2 towels, washcloths . I had to wash them and the dryer didn’t work ! Had to hang towels and clothing all over the house. Called customer service again. They said they’d sent someone out . 4 days later someone came and said he’d bring the part for dryer in three days..he never came back. We counted on that and now had to wear dirty clothes home. The oven didn’t work properly ; stayed on Pre-heat forever..no broom to keep floors clean had to ask them to bring one . (They did bring clean towels but didn’t tell us and we just happened to find them 2 days later in a cabinet that was formerly empty .) The bathroom shower curtain and window had mold around it. So, with the exception of the great view and the living/ dining rooms being nice it was not a good place to stay. For the price we expected better attention to detail, better customer service and truthfulness about the parking situation.

We arrived 10 pm to find the 10-digit code did not open the door. We also had a code for the lock box which held a key. The lockbox was hanging open and empty. After standing a cold 1/2 hour on the phone with Vacasa, we were finally given a 4-digit code that worked. Next morning Vacasa called saying the door code must be changed back to 10-digits. I protested but was assured it would work this time. I tested it while still on the phone and it seemed to work. (I realized later that the door hadn’t been locked.) When we went out, we tried the new code to make sure we could get back inside. Guess what? It didn’t work! Another half hour on the phone with Vacasa giving us various 10-digit codes. My daughter saw a light flash on the door keypad after 4 digits so we were sure it would only accept 4. Finally they gave us another 4-digit code. Guess what? It worked! The agent also kept saying there was a key in the lockbox even though we’d said repeatedly the lockbox was broken. And it didn’t stop there … next day when we went out, the door wouldn’t lock behind us! Again, another 1/2 hour on the phone with Vacasa! They finally said they would sent someone out but couldn’t say when. My daughter figured out that if you turn the deadbolt to the right and the door handle to the left and pull, the door would lock! I would have had a total meltdown without her. View stunning. Furniture good except one side of one bed completely saggy. Toilet paper ran out quickly and no extra rolls!

The view is nice and it's beautiful in the morning. However, there are multiple issues with this property. The most annoying one is not having a proper parking space. It's not easy to find parking in the neighborhood. The house does not have air conditioner or heating, so not very comfortable when temperature is too low or too high. The entry to the house is through narrow lane, which is not very clean. On our arrival, we found that lock key code doesn't work. There wasn't anyone locally to help and it took about an hour to get the issue resolved. Bathroom doesn't have ventilation or exhaust fan. Overall, location is good, but need better maintenance and local support staff to resolve the issues.

Visiting our daughter and didn't want to stay with her in her 1 bedroom apt! Brought a family friend so decided on this option versus a hotel. Family came by, hang out, cooked, enjoyed large tv streaming, ocean view to die for, surfers at low tide, and our favorite friendly SEAGULL who visited every morning for a bite of breakfast. AWESOME VISIT! Will definitely stay again if it's available!!

This property is absolutely perfect and the view is spectacular! Location is perfect, floor plan is perfect, shower water temperature is perfect, comfort is perfect, not a single detail has been overlooked. Our family had the perfect weekend getaway. Management was very responsive with questions. Check in and check out was easy. I’m grateful to have made such great family memories here and we’ll definitely book here again!

First let me tell you about the location of this place. It is only 10mins from mission beach, 15mins from pacific beach. Even though there is only one parking space there is easily enough parking in the surrounding area.
Then you walk in to this astonishing view of the Pacific Ocean! I mean the group was just blown away! The sunsets at this place are second to none. Very clean space and plenty room for 5 of us. The neighborhood is nice and we felt secure the whole time. If you need a place to stay in San Diego this is the place!

The view is amazing but the property is quite old. When I arrived, I noticed the ice maker wasn’t working so took out the ice bucket and it was filled with globs of brown sludge. Ice covered the opening so I had to chip out ice.
Second, the bathroom window wouldn’t close and couldn’t be fixed, even by the on-site night manager.
Last and most importantly, I had no hot water the entire time I was there and was told that it could only be fixed by all new gas pipes to the entire building. I asked for a refund and was only given about 10% of the money I had paid. When I asked (via text) for a contact so we could discuss it, Vacasa cut off communication. All in all, a very disappointing time in my favorite city.
Don’t book here unless you just want a view and little else.

The lock on the entrance was confusing to figure out. Not sure if it was broke or if it was meant to be like that but how to actually get the door to unlock was not communicated.
Extremely warm in the unit. Unfortunately only the bedrooms have fans so no other way to cool the living area down.
Great views but windows weren't very clean so the view was always hazy. Shades on the windows did not all go down.
Shower takes a long time to get hot water and the drain doesn't always drain very well.
Meant to sleep six but there is no extra bedding besides a comforter for the pull out couch.
Otherwise only a 10-15 minute walk to restaurants and shops.

The location is fantastic. The apartment is nice. As we look at listings, we notice the furniture. So many places have too few seats or metal chairs around the dining table. The seating is comfortable and plentiful, the beds are very comfortable.
One of the primary reasons we chose this property was the view out of the front windows. Unfortunately, the window are so dirty you can barely make out the ocean. We contacted the property owners and they said there was no way to clean the windows. There is no outside seating or beach access so you might as well be blocks from the ocean.
The other issue was the lack of hot water. We could not shower before our early flight. Not the way to start the day. We noticed other properties run by the same management company seemed to have similar water issues or hot tubs not hot, etc.
Ocean Beach is a fantastic area, unfortunately we overpaid for this location.

Loved the view. Better response times to problems would be helpful. Drain not draining in tub, ice maker makes loud noises, outside light burned out, oven not working. The maintenance man who showed up was very kind and polite. However, due to the drain we couldn’t have showers the last day and a half of our stay.

Gave this place 5 stars based on the incredible view. We spent hours watching the waves and spectacular sunsets. The apartment was clean and functional, although the kitchen was not well stocked for cooking (for example, there was no dish soap so we had to use shampoo to wash the dishes). The location was great and within easy walking distance to Ocean beath.

Parking nonexistent. We paid for a garage, but the garage had a pile of dirt in it and couldn't get a car in. Parking in front of the garage was always taken. The oven did not work and we had to defrost the refrigerator in order to close the door. We really feel we should be given money back.
The view was awesome and the pictures online were like advertised. No complaints about the view.

This property was clean and had amazing views. The listing said we could park a car in the garage but it was full of dirt and we spent a while trying to find street parking. I notified vrbo and I still haven't received any communication other than an automated text that they would get back to me. This is a great property as long as you don't have any problem because good luck on getting a response.

truly loved this oceanside oasis. the full frontal view of the pacific ocean out of the living room was awe inspiring and breathtaking. if I could give it ten stars I would.
