Lovely building and location, grounds. Very nice dinner and wine pairing. Waffle iron for breakfast a big winner!

Bit warm in the first floor room even in 20c summer weather. Open window at night helped a lot but leaves you at mercy of mosquitoes…..maybe add nets? Maybe time to lose the covid distance stickers from the floors?

The service was very friendly and timely. The ambience was pleasant and pieceful. Worth a visit on its own. The location is excellent, less than an hour from Stockholm. The food was as expected. Armagnac offering is noteworthy.

Minor thing: The lake did not invite to swim, due to lily pads and low visibility, but that´s how it gets in the summer time. This was solved by the indoors swimming pool and outdoors hut tub that served our family very well for recreation.

Wonderful property. Absolutely lovely old castle with comfortable manor house. We felt like royalty given the full access to the property. Beautiful pool, outstanding views, and wonderful staff. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious, and varied. Rate as five stars!!!

The only negative was the hot tub is not "fired" up during weekday stays.

The walking area below the castle needed some care and were you wanted to swim was too much growing

A very beautiful and serene location, we could easily have spent a week here. There are many different activities available like canoeing, badminton, tennis etc. The Castle is beautiful and the surroundings as well.

The only negative was the limited and expensive dinner menu, and the staff could have been more accommodating/service minded

Place is marvellous - very good nature. The hotel is located in the castle. We liked our dinner and breakfast very much

We got a call from the hotel 2 days before our trip and were said that there was overbooking in the Hotel and that they can offer for us more simple room. We agreed to it, since planned this travelling long ago. However, when we arrived to the hotel and I asked about this overbooking, nobody took care explaining us why it happened and nobody apologised for inconvenience. I asked the same question during checkout with the same result. We were degraded to more simple room with 2 beds, which on booking.com costs 2290 SEK (at least for Genius 2 member), but during checkout we were charged to the amount of 2640. There were no any changes made in booking.com reservation confirmation. Moreover, when we made reservation, we intentionally indicated that 2 people will stay in the room (it was written 2 names in reservation - my husband's and mine) because we needed invoice, which contained information about both of us. However, we were given invoice which contained only my name, but not my husband's. When I requested about it, I was recommended getting in touch with booking.com, because we made reservation through it. We were very disappointed by such attitude and behaviour.

The dinner at the place was OK but the price for the dinner was to high. Not worth the money.
