Up the Back exceeded our expectations and was definitely a home away from home. Every little detail had been thought of with lots of little extras to make our stay even more enjoyable. Everything was so impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. So cosy and comfortable. The cute patio and garden around the back was so peaceful. The view from the front... now that was something else. The sight of glistening water whilst sitting on the balcony enjoying drinks and a platter was perfect.
Annie should be commended on her guest accommodation. I will recommending it to others who may travel to Bicheno and I will definitely be back to stay for longer just as soon as I can. 5+ stars!

Wir waren sehr angenehm überrascht, dass das Haus eine sehr persönliche Atmosphäre hat. Ein Ort zum Genießen. Die Lage ist sehr viel ruhiger, als man bei der Adresse am Highway erwarten würde, da das Haus höher und zurückgesetzt liegt. Wir haben bei offenem Fenster sehr gut geschlafen.
Da wir begeisterte Köche sind, haben wir auch die Außenküche mit Grill und zwei Gasbrennern sehr zu schätzen gewusst. Es ist ein Haus, das sich auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt anbietet.
Wir haben Annie selbst nicht getroffen, aber die Kommunikation war hervorragend und das Haus strahlt die Handschrift der Eigentümer aus. Klare Empfehlung.

Lovely little cottage with gorgeous ocean views. Great kitchen facilities, and plenty of room for 3 of us. Close to town and beaches. Beautiful personal welcome note from our host was a lovely touch.
We liked everything, but to be trivial I have to say the pillows were not great. Way too firm for our liking, we jokingly called them the bricks.

My mum has mobility issues so we were grateful for the driveway to the door and easy parking. The heating was on when we arrived which was lovely and there was also a welcome card and chocolates in the fridge.

We really enjoyed our stay here! We loved all the little details and the nice welcome card the owner left for us. The place was very clean, spacious, had great views over the ocean and the kitchen was really well equipped!

the location was perfect, amazing views from the little balcony. the sound of the ocean was wonderful, lots of special little touches to welcome us and make it homely. comfy bed, plush towels, great back living area and plenty of room. ❤️
