The suite is so very clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything needed for our stay. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, we would highly recommend to our friends and families.

Words cannot express how impressed we were with this suite and with Pete and Julie. Right from the beginning when we booked this location Pete was very attentive to our inquires and questions. Pete was so very accommodating, he even picked us up from the airport. Upon arrival at the suite there was a bottle of wine and chocolates waiting to welcome us!!! We didn’t want the extra expense of a car rental, so Pete made sure we had access to bikes and helmets during our stay. The area has lots of trails and bike lanes that makes it super easy to get around. The suite is so very clean and super quiet! Pete checked in on us a couple days into our stay to introduce his lovely wife Julie and they even brought us delicious carrots from their garden. The Thursday night market in Sidney is a must! Our visit was peaceful, pleasant and perfect. We will definitely stay there again the next time we visit the island. JB

We were in town for 3 weeks to have some work done on our boat at Philbrooks Boatyard. This location was PERFECT since it was easy to walk into downtown Sidney as well as walk to the boatyard each day to do work on the boat. We could walk to the grocery store, takeout pizza and the suite is 2 blocks from the entrance to a paved walking trail that goes into Sidney. The suite is SO clean, stocked with everything you could need from shampoo/conditioner to a very well kitted out kitchen. Each day I made a morning smoothie in a great blender, ground my coffee beans for coffee and we were able to make cookies and other home cooked meals. The bed is heavenly to sleep on, and the Peter and Julie were absolutely the best hosts. They were able to provide us with anything we needed. The yard is immaculate and so lush, lovely to look out onto each morning. We felt a little sad to leave as it had become our home away from home. We'll definitely come back any time we haul out to have boat work done, or really any time coming to Sidney.

Great little flat, all amenities and so much more. It like a brand new home. The hosts really put a lot of thought and energy into making this a cozy and comfortable space. Location great for walking and close to cycling path. We would recommend this place to our family and friends!

Bright and sunny, very private and walking distance to the Sea. Unit has so many extras in three weeks I could not think of anything I wished I had. I will recommend this place to everyone.

The suite was perfect . It is like new with everything you may need for your stay. The location in Sidney was very convenient. The hosts who live upstairs were terrific.

Great place, to stay. Had Christmas decorations up. It had everything you needed all you need to bring is clothes and food. Dogs felt at home and so do we. Great place.

This is our 2nd stay at this place. We are so comfortable in the unit - I loved the fact that I can cook and have everything I need, including herbs and spices! We also love being able to walk to the ocean and downtown if we desire. The owners live upstairs so are there if we have any questions, but they are not intrusive. Thanks so much!

The property was everything what I hoped for and more. The accommodation was very clean and tidy and the owners were accommodating.

From the initial contact, communication was timely and clear. The unit was clean and well-appointed. Kitchen was stocked with dry goods and multiple appliances. Fresh flowers, a welcome card, and a delicious chilled bottle of Dirty Laundry Sauvignon Blanc greeted us. The location is superb for bikes and cars. All amenities are close by.

Pete, Julie and daughter Kaylea are wonderful folks and the property is first class. Very clean and organized with great amenities.

This property was extremely clean and furnished with everything you would need for a vacation, including kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, towels, shampoo, soap, hair dryer, and coffee and tea to enjoy. Peter and Julie made us feel so at home. Their kindness was appreciated and their thoughtfulness to meet our needs went above and beyond what we expected. There was a Smart TV with streaming platforms as well as WiFi to use. The welcome binder was very useful to help us navigate our way around Sidney. The neighbourhood felt very safe and it was a 30 minute walk into town. There is a bus stop about two minutes from the house, which was very convenient as we did not have a vehicle. We can't say enough about how friendly Peter and Julie were and how lovely their yards were. My sister and I had an amazing time and would most definitely rent Peter and Julie's place again!

I can't say enough good things about this property and its owners, Pete and Julie. Every interaction from the first was filled with kindness. I'm not sure where to start - from their willingness to purchase hypoallergenic laundry products to their flexibility with my reservation when my father-in-law went on hospice. I truly felt cared for, which has not been my experience with most home sharing experiences. And that was before I arrived to the unit. It's beautiful. Modern, well layout out, with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and welcome gift (which they asked my preference about...so thoughtful!). There's coffee, spices, oil, tea, and everything you need for making meals--even a slow cooker! I didn't spy a food processor or blender which didn't matter to me but flagging it for other intrepid cooks who might want to do a home stay. The bed was so comfy (omgosh those PILLOWS!). The bathroom was also stocked - you could literally arrive here with just clothes and any medications you need and live well for a week! The bathroom is a little narrow so if you live in a larger body like mine, keep that in mind (though the space around the toilet is ample). Having lived in NYC for a decade, the overall unit didn't feel small at all to me...and having my own laundry for the first time since I lived at home was GLORIOUS! And, there was more natural light than I would have thought for a basement unit-yes! Pete and Julie introduced themselves and checked in via text to make sure everything was ok. I knew they were there if I needed them, though their welcome guide was so detailed and easy to skim that I didn't have any Qs. Oh and I can't finish this review without talking about the fireplace! Don't worry, you don't need any skill. Its controlled by the thermostat and added such warmth and homeyness, especially on the cold and rainy days. The absolutely only thing I would improve upon is to add a power strip or similar to the bedroom. I didn't ask for one—it wasn't *that* big of a deal but if I were travelling with my partner, I would have definitely asked for something. I am already planning my next visit to this gorgeous, homey, and so very stocked unit! I teared up a little leaving because it was such a peaceful space for me to begin my trip. It has set a new bar for home shares and I can't say thank you enough!

This was a very clean and new suite. Everything you needed and more with a convenient location to Sidney, Victoria and surrounding areas. We spent a month here enjoying the friendliness of the hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay excellent. The suite has everything you need. Good parking 5 minutes from the centre of Sidney and 25 minutes from downtown Victoria. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. Everything was like a home away from home. We will be back. Highly recommended.

We can’t say enough for how much we enjoyed our stay. Our hosts provided lovely flowers and a welcome bottle of wine for us plus special treats for our dog! We’ve never had such a well stocked kitchen plus basic pantry items. Since we cooked a lot of our own meals, this was greatly appreciated! The property is in a quiet neighborhood and easily accessible to all Sidney and Victoria attractions or outdoor activities. We highly recommend this property.
