Beach was beautiful, and the place was very comfortable. The owner was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early. The week we were there, it rained. On checkout day it was sunny, and the owner allowed us a late checkout. I would recommend this place,

Quick stay for a weekend wedding. Used Craig’s place back in the fall. Reached out for this trip & he was very accommodating. Great location. Easy process. He even messaged to let me know we could check in earlier than expected. Good communication. I will continue to repeat business with him for future trips.

It was a great little property with a view of the sunrises and sunsets. There is another building across from this one between it and the beach. If you are looking for unobstructed views of the beach, this one is probably not for you. Owner was great with responding and communication. Lots of places to walk to for food and shops.

Pros: fantastic views; easy beach access, close to grocery, restaurants and shopping; beautifully decorated, washer and dryer, elevator. Cons: kitchen is tiny; stairs (if you don't want to use the elevator) are dark and dirty; the blankets were stained. Overall we are happy and would rent this property again.

The host was easy to communicate with and helpful dealing with various arrival times. The view for not being oceanfront was generous. Just enough shops for those who must shop. The grocery and liquor stores convenient. The linens were missing for the Master Suite and after calling the office they were delivered within 2 hours. The kitchen is well equipped. There are loads of dishes and I can't think of any cooking utensil it didn't have. We prepared an entire traditional Thanksgiving meal in it. I came prepared with potato peelers, large pot, colander, measuring spoons, etc. One bed was missing linens. I called the management office and explained the situation and they were delivered within 2 hours And it was THANKSGIVING.

Condo was clean & comfortable. Tastefully decorated with a very pleasant palate. We were able to relax & rest when taking a break at the condo. Ocean views were much appreciated. Walk to beach is right there. Gated community- located near everything. There is a nice grocery store just across the main road. Abundance of restaurants and a short ride to all the surrounding area attractions ie downtown Swansboro, Tideland National Rec Trail, etc. Our first time to area and this was a very good find. Our next trip to the Emerald Isle, I will try to secure this property. Nice stay & I highly recommend.

The condo was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The owner was great to work with - proactive and responsive. The management company was available and helpful. There are beautiful views of the beach in both directions from the condo, though there is another condo building in front of this one that blocks a full unobstructed view. Having an elevator was great. It might be important to some to know that the staircase to access the beach does have quite a few steps. The beach access was otherwise great with lots of available space and quick access back to the condo. Great value overall. Close access to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, and activities.

We had a wonderful long weekend at this terrific property! The views were spectacular, the unit was very clean and well appointed, and our host was incredibly accommodating. We hope to come back!

Great location and everything near

Beautiful property with beautiful views of the island! Our family loved every minute of our week here.

I know this condo is called almost heaven, but it was pretty close to heaven! The condo was the most well stocked I’ve ever been to. The beach is literally out the front door. You can see the beach from multiple windows. I have had to message Craig about a few things before we arrived and he got back immediately. He also helped us find a car repair facility in the area. The location is perfect for everything! My only complaint is we had to leave! Will definitely be back!

We loved the easy access both to the beach and to the grocery store, coffee shop and restaurants. We loved how clean and wide the beach was. We loved the ability to wash our sandy feet off before returning to the condo. This was a great location to make memories. The only two things that could have made it perfection was cooler pool water temperatures (it was like warm bath water) and better shade available to sit on the deck at the condo for an early morning coffee. We had ample space for our family of 5, so that was great! We will definitely return to the island again oneday!

The location and views are amazing!! The beach is perfect. The beach access is so close and equipped with showers and a hose. The beach was never overcrowded the whole week, even being middle of July. We were very impressed with how well stocked kitchen appliances/pots/pans/cooking utensils were. There are plenty of bath linens provided which was really nice to have extra. The checkin/checkout process was easy as could be. The master bathroom was very nice but the second bathroom could use some updating or renovating. It was really nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit as well. We would definitely return in the future.

4th floor property was really nice. Spent many hours on the balcony with the sounds and sights of the waves crashing on the beach. This is our speed now that kids are older and we aren’t hanging out all day on beach Someone mentioned an issue with balcony, saw no issues. Gated entrance was nice with lots of room to park. Left our bikes right outside the door, no issues or concerns with them being there in morning Unit was great, loved the fun dog theme. Smaller kitchen, but wasn’t an issue. We’ll appointed

Great location condo was nice. I’ll be honest the building is showing it’s age the hand rail on the deck should be inspected by someone the mounting hardware have all deteriorated to the point the heads are gone off the bolts it would be a tragedy to have someone lean against that and have it break loose and fall 4 floors . Besides that we enjoyed our week and will return

The property was clean and had all the standard amenities. Location was GREAT! Was an awesome getaway with the family.

This condo was nicely updated as compared to a few others we have stayed in at Sound of the Sea. Kitchen was well stocked. Comfy master/very nice bath design. Balcony had good views of ocean despite setback. Loved the end unit space. Pool was a big plus. Craig was a pleasure to communicate with. A very relaxing Great vacay! Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed - well supplied! It was a short walk to the beach and was such a beautiful beach - so peaceful watching the gorgeous ocean. We were close to restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. It was just what we wanted for our getaway. We would definitely recommend it!

Great stay! Condo was clean, beds and all furniture was comfortable. Pool area was clean and beach was wonderful. The check in process was easy. Very close to grocery stores which was also a plus.

The condo was clean and the location was perfect for us to spend time at the ocean or the pool. Grocery and restaurants were close by with the easy access. Possible improvements for future guests would be to provide a dish rag and a few beach towels. Overall a great place and we truly enjoyed our time there!

We had a great time. The unit was clean, comfortable, well equipped, convenient, and quiet. Everything we could ask for. Great views, beautiful beaches, a nice little pool and Emerald Isle is an absolute delight. Hope to return in the future.

The unit was very clean and there was plenty of towels and wash cloths which was nice since that's usually not the case anymore. The owner kept me informed of any changes when and even let me know of events that were happening nearby. The view of the ocean could be seen from almost every window, which loved!! We were very pleased with our experience!!

The 6 story sound of sea building was very well maintained and glad to have an elevator. Bring a wagon for groceries or luggage. Directions on grounds are lacking for building and room locations, trash disposal and pool area, but with some adventuring it’s easy to figure out. Gated entrance gives a nice sense of security. Unit was very well appointed and accommodating. The view off balcony and throughout the unit and the sound of the ocean are reason enough to return. All furnishings were comfortable and updated. The ac in the unit was PERFECT, many places can have spotty working units. Overall the unit was very clean except the floors needed a little more attention. Working with the host was exceptionally easy and pleasant. Thank you tremendously for leaving 2 beach chairs! Kitchen was well stocked and clean especially having dish soap and hand soap! It would be nice to have garbage bags though, local grocery store only had large quantities to select from. Defibately would like to book again!

My family enjoyed our stay. Very convenient location just blocks away from the shopping center. Really a overall great experience! Would most definitely stay here again.

My family and I rented this condo for a long weekend, and it was everything that we had hoped for. Location is fantastic, and the island is simply amazing. All 3 of us enjoyed, and we have every intention of going back! The owner was fantastic and responsive, the property is beautiful and well-maintained, and the view is just spectacular. Only minor complaint has to do the the one 2-lane road that connects everything, so any accidents tend to out everyone at a stand-still. Otherwise, everything about it was perfect.

Great place with beautiful views of the beach! Easy check in, check out process, condo clean & stylish, full kitchen and ample supply of clean linens. Nice deck and furniture, with beautiful views of the ocean. Condo in good location to stores, restaurants, groceries, easy walk to beach, outside hoses to spray off. Reservations easy and communications with owner were excellent. Had small issue which owner quickly resolved. Emerald Isle is a hidden gem and this property was a great place to enjoy it.

This was my first experience with VRBO! I was very pleased with my whole experience! Craig was so professional, and helpful to us!

Overall we had a nice stay here. We were disappointed that there were no additional trash bags or dish detergent. We had 1 trash bag and no dish washer pods but we’re asked to take the trash out and run the dishwasher as part of the check out process.
