Wonderful apartment, great location, very hospitable owner. 10/10

It’s very quirky and we liked that.

Beautiful little apartment near to the center of town. Excellent breakfast included.

Perfect location very close to many shops and restaurants. The little apartment has a well equipped kitchen to prepare a own dinner. The owner provides everything to prepare a delicious Italian breakfast which is nice especially when you have to leave early.

for people hiking the Via Francigena. It’s also very only a short walk to the main piazza with all the bars, osteria, trattoria and restaurants in the piazza and its adjacent streets. There is a very small dining area with an excellent espresso machine that has a milk steamer function (with lots of prepackaged espresso). There is a small, four burner gas stovetop (which we didn’t use), a toaster and a kettle. Upon arrival there were loads of Italian breakfast “usual suspects” set out, but the star of the welcome was definitely the homemade crostada - a very nice touch. The shower provides good pressure and an abundance of hot water.

The bed was quite uncomfortable, at least to our preference. Also, the pillows are in dire need of a refresh. The most challenging thing about the apartment is how cramped it is.Other apartments we’ve rented on our extended trip to Italy (we rent apartments for multi-day stays) afforded the opportunity to spread out and relax. The poor space layout of this unit didn’t allow for that. This sense of being “cooped up” was made worse by the lack of any outdoor space and the need to keep the shutters closed in the afternoon and evening to moderate the heat.

Location, facilities and friendly and helpful staff.

In general the place wasn’t the cleanest. The coffee machine tank was so dirty that there was almost mud inside. We didn’t dare make ourselves a coffee in the morn
