I was finishing up a hectic semester. I teach at a university. My plan was to find a place to get near nature and relax. This place, Dear Bed Den, was the perfect size for me and two of my friends to get out of town. Go out for meals. Find some beautiful local hiking trails. Sit by a fire, or on a beautiful deck, surrounded by lichen-covered boulders and 100-year-old trees. Thank you for making a great place to stay!

Great location and very nice cabin. Felt secluded but close to downtown shops too! Fireplace was wonderful.

First of all, Emma was great in providing directions to get to the property & providing all the check-in info. She was prompt in replying to messages too.
The bed was extremely comfortable, the space heaters were great & the water stayed hot for showers. It was so peaceful & relaxing. There was limited internet which we loved because we didn’t want to get bombarded by notifications & emails.

Blue Door cottage was a perfectly serene setting for a relaxing weekend. We absolutely loved it here and can’t wait to book another stay.

The area was gorgeous and the cabin was charming and comfy. There were a few issues tho. The piping is old I assume becuase you can only have water running at one place at a time. Can't wash your hands in the bathroom is someone is washing dishes in the kitchen. There's a nice big balcony but there are no lights outside so we could sit out there at night to play board games and enjoy the evening. The biggest selling point of this place for me was the bathtub. But it doesn't function well as a tub. There's only a hot water spicket and barely any water comes out. Had to very slowly fill the tub using the shower head, which was really disappointing for someone like me who LOVES baths.

The cabin was cute and well appointed and our host Emma was easy to communicate with all along. Highly recommend!

Cute cabin, perfect location!
We always come to Idyllwild for the Thanksgiving weekend- this cabin this year did not disappoint! We actually love not having TV, or solid internet- a reason to leave the kids tablets at home and enjoy the sounds of nature. The cabin was cute and well appointed and our host Emma was easy to communicate with all along. Highly recommend!
