We stayed 5 nights and it was just overwhelming. The cottage ist situated in a scenic landscape, right at the edge of Ireby. It is a perfect starting point for exploring the lakes and the Cumbria coast, with Keswick, Buttermere, St. Bees and other places of interest in easy reach. Rooms are spacious, recently renovated and very quiet. The breakfast is excellent, and so is the three course menu that you can have for dinner: fresh, using local produce whereever possible, varied and nicely served. Simply delicious. What makes this place stand out beyond all this is the hosts: their hospitality and care, their attention to detail, and their passion to provide guests an experience they will remember - we definitely will.

Very nice room, very good shower, very good Wi-Fi, delicious with good choice cooked breakfasts, delicious every day different menu diners, great location, 23 min from Keswick, 18 min from Cockermouth, 27 min from Silloth, 34 min from Whitehaven.

I was welcomed by the hosts and check in was easy. Dinner was table d'hote but was very enjoyable with a good choice of beers and wines, Superb location . Last year was a difficult time for them but this year has been better and my stay there was a new experience as there really is a country house ambience. Well done and best wishes for the future.

Family run business very well worth visiting. Usually I don’t like coming back to the same place, but I am definitely looking forward to an opportunity to visit Daryl and Naomi again. The food is exceptional. The rooms are very warm, cosy and recently renovated.
