Subramanian the caretaker and his family were very hospitable. He cooked for us during the duration of our stay for a reasonable price and the food was delicious. His thoughtfulness and consideration were the highlight of our stay in the Eden Grand. The host was very accessible and provided immediate responses to my questions. The rooms and bathrooms were all clean and spacious, though not very ventilated. They can be locked individually, though we rented the whole bungalow. Nuwara Eliya itself is beautiful, and the place was only a short drive to tea estates, Lovers Leap waterfall and Victoria Park botanic gardens.

Some things you might need to consider: - The garden isn't enclosed and stray cats and dogs do come in and out (though they were harmless). - The house itself is only accessible via three stairs which don't have a railing. - The bathrooms are wet rooms: if you shower, everything gets wet, as two of the bathrooms had showers in the middle of the bathroom, not in a corner. - Ventilation may be an issue as there are no fans or heaters anywhere in the property. We had temperate weather, however the rooms did still tend to smell musty and we had to aerate our towels in the dining area daily as the rooms don't get much sunlight. - There are security cameras installed and on at all times both outside and all common rooms including the kitchen. Appreciate that it might be needed if the rooms are being let out separately, however as we were using the whole house I assumed they would not be used, but was mistaken. - The bungalow is very close to the city centre but if travelling with kids you probably still need a vehicle. The house is located on hospital road, just next to the mortuary and the hospital refuse centre, which you must walk past to get to the shops.

Our 1st experience with group of friends.I would like to say that we had an unforgettable stay Eden grand bungalow.The bungalow 's rooms and bathrooms exceeded our expectations.Service provided by the caretaker Supramanium was also satisfactory. Food was delicious.

Everything.. starting from checkin, the staff was not at all welcoming, the kitchen had more spiders then utensils.. The cutlery was not properly washed.. no ventilation in rooms.. no fans no ac..

Mr Supramaniam, was a great host, he is cooking for us and giving us usefully tips for sightseeing and more. We stayed at Eden garden inn for two nights with 10 people. We will come back!

We had a great time at the bungalow.. Close to the main areas in Nuwaraeliya. The rooms are superb and kids friendly too.. The caretaker Is also very helpful and food is so yummy.. Will visit again soon ..
