Clean, comfortable and great location.

The neighborhood was unpleasantly noisy. The street was broken pavement. Little privacy with security cameras front & back, no coverings on kitchen & 2 bedroom windows. Extremely cramped 2nd bdrm. Refrigerator not working (a guest the previous month had informed them)... they gave me an unacceptably small credit which is about 1/16 my my rental charge. What good is a kitchen if you can't keep food in it? They wanted the largest damage deposit I've EVER been charged before... which has not yet been credited back to my account... tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I left the property! I hope giving my time to write this review will help other prospective guests. Typically, I am a very forgiving person, but this situation cast me into a nightmare of disturbing events and inconsiderate business ethics that shouldn't be ignored. I called VRBO and they basically told me it's up to the landlord... And that really soured my trust in VRBO considering the fees I paid to them! The previous 3 nights I stayed in a suite at a famous luxury inn in Carmel... more square-footage, a refrigerator that worked, free breakfast, and a spectacular ocean view... all for LESS money!! So, shop around... you'll find lots of welcoming hosts...

Clean, well equipped, nicely decorated. Freezer didn't work so our frozen food thawed. Broken gates and oven exhaust flap banged loudly in the wind at night.

The house what impeccably clean and I was very pleased to see the kitchen as well stocked as it was, both with seasonings and great knives and pans. There are two large smart TVs and the California King bed is deliciously comfortable. The fire pit didn’t work for my stay and there was only one lounge sunning chair and a small bench in the back so it would have been nice to have more seating options back there but we were able to improvise. The one thing that gave me pause and bothered me (although it may not bother other people) is that they have two cameras in the front—that’s fine— but they also have one in the back that they say is for their guests security. It didn’t feel like that to me. Vrbo says that an owner can have cameras as long it’s not inside or somewhere that a guest would have a reasonable assumption of privacy…. It’s just me but I assume the private backyard of the house I’m renting will be private. The cameras they have can hear conversations, and have night vision. It made me very uncomfortable. However if that doesn’t bother you then this is a great getaway choice.

We loved our get away cozy home. The fire pit was great! Thank you for such a clean and cozy home away from home to make our anniversary awesome. So close to everything night walks etc. we would to visit again!!

This small cottage was great for 2 adults and our 1 year old. It’s located right near downtown only 3 min drive. The host was super communicative and we got early check in which was great for our family. Some small recommendations to the host to make the property a little more comfortable: provide coffee that’s not Folgers (there’s awesome local coffee brewers get some beans from them), outside the seating near the fire is very uncomfortable. If you took the chairs from the front of the house and added those to the back it would be way better! Great stay, had a cute game room in the garage, and awesome fire pit to relax by at night with the string lights made a great evening!
