We stayed on the 23rd floor in a corner room with an amazing view. It was absolutely perfectly

There was a conference group when I arrived, and the members of that conference were loud and obnoxious and made my stay bad from the beginning. I thought I was on a nonsmoking floor but I could smell smoke often in the room and hall. The restaurant staff was mostly very good. The lounge upstairs stopped serving food annoyingly early and the kitchen closing did not show up on the website. Nice servers, however.
The guy who checked me out, John, was quite rude. I had a question about my invoice because it did not clearly show the 30-dollar-a-day credit I was supposed to receive. and he did not explain it well and when I asked for clarification he got hostile. I am hearing impaired and I asked him not to interrupt me when I spoke but he did it continually and I was offended as a disabled person. Because of him and some other reasons I will not likely stay here again even though I know I will be back in the city for several days in 2025. You don't seem to want my business anyway.

No regular hours for a restaurant. No room service. The room looks more like a Holiday Inn than a Marriott Marquis… sadly, but true. I been at the Marriott Marquis in Miami. Way much better that the one in San Francisco

$30 “Destination fee” kind of ruined the trip. I guess it’s standard now but it was my first time encountering it. A daily $30 charge that they call a “credit” to use at their crowded and overpriced restaurants.
It renews every 24 hours, so instead of spending our time enjoying the city, every 24 hours we were trying to strategize how not to lose $30.
I genuinely have no idea why a company would want to remind its customers of a really scammy fee every 24 hours, but Marriott apparently finds it a good idea.
In related news, at 35 years old, I have my first opinion of a hotel chain: never doing a Marriott again.

I LOVE that you have sound machines in the room! I had a very loud couple in the room next to me having a bit too much fun and very loudly in the middle of the night. 😉
I was thrilled that I could drown out the sounds with the sound machine instead of pounding on the wall like a crazy neighbor.

The building it self was great. Service was mediocre. The staff lacked in hospitality. Some of the staff were not helpful at all. No one told me what floor I was on at check in. I asked about valet, and someone answered me very short and rudely like I should know where it was. Another staff member nearby took the initiative to give me paper directions. My room was ok. It would've been better if my neighbor didnt play their music loudly all day. Please do better.

We arrived at 7pm to check in and our room wasnt ready although check in was 4pm. They offered us a downgraded room and were hesitant to offer a credit since I pad for a view. Had to wait till after 8pm and they never offered us late check out the next day. Plus, no self parking and valet is almost an extra $100 a night. Nice location and have stayed here in the past with no issues, but not I will be back.

I booked it for one night, got the 2 Queen City view for some extra cash. The room was pretty average, and the view wasn't that great, mostly just saw rooftops. Can you believe they charged $10 for a bottled water and $5 for a Gatorade can? Crazy, right?

This property provided excellent customer service. All of the staff was very helpful. The Bell stand staff provided me with excellent tips and advice for sight sighting and eating. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Located in the financial district which brought unforeseen traffic but not too big of a deal. Very central to restaurants, cafes, trader joes, target. Valet parking was great, smooth process each time. Would def stay here again

Once you are in the property you feel safe. The staff was not the friendliest. I was in line at their Pantry and the person at the register allowed two people to cut in front of my family even though I alerted them.

The staff were excellent. Got me into a room that met my specifications and went above and beyond to make sure I was okay.
The location is outstanding. Trader Joe's and Target were across the streets for quick shopping and wholefoods is about 10 minutes walk. Will definitely stay there again if i can get the same room.

The staff was so helpful on a daily basis not just on check in. We met a few different staff members and they all were great at giving directions or letting us know the best spots to sight see, had great conversations with them.

This resort had a false fire alarm go off for 20 minutes on the second night of our stay. The shampoo, body wash, and conditioner pumps in the bathroom were halfway used the room bathroom was not fully clean. And the desk people at check in / out counter lines were very long they kept servicing to incoming pilots that were staying at the resort and let them skip the entire line and also only catered to elite member only members we had to wait 30 minutes to be checked out of this hotel I would not recommend this resort for your San Francisco stay.
