The Cascades is a very nice, updated old-style motel. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The room sizes and styles vary. We have stayed there twice. The first room we stayed in had a more updated and larger bathroom. The second time it was more standard to the hotels era. Smaller but still well maintained. The furniture is update along with the televisions. The hotel has a nice courtyard and a bar on site that serves food. The staff is very nice. The breakfast is pretty simple. Most importantly it is a very good value and comfortable place to stay close to but not on the IU campus.

Doesn't look like much from the outside and it is a Motel, but the rooms are clean, big and comfortable. I would stay here again. Location is great if you want to walk to an IU game.

Nice local place that has comfortable rooms and nice breakfast. It needs some attention outside in maintaining the garden area as it doesn't look like the photos and is an older place.

It’s was very worthwhile. Checking in and out was easy and the receptionists were detail oriented. Room was easy to find and the king size bed was comfortable. Breakfast was light on options but I managed to make do with what they had. My only gripe was the lack of hand soap or sanitizer by the sinks.

Rooms were nice and clean. Like the other reviews it doesn't look like much from the roadside, but was nice. Was told at front desk that our one room had a walk-in shower, but it did not.

Never again. The courtyard garden might be nice but it doesn’t make up for the outdated and worn out room and fixtures. Very expensive for a subpar room.

Front desk staff was so so kind and friendly. Room was very nice - to be honest, it sort of shocked me how nice it was based on the exterior (which is a little run down). I was up and out before breakfast but looking forward to next visit to IU as it’s now at the top of the list

This is a great hotel it's an older one but they've tried to keep the original charm in it. I have stayed many times and I've always had a clean room clean towels and the people have always been great. For the price you can't beat it I just wish they would continue to do more improvements.

There was a lovely courtyard with tables and music playing. Real dishes and a nice variety at breakfast. Free water bottles at check in. A trail could be accessed from the property to a nice park and more trails. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room had many updates and was comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay. Also easy to find by markers along the road coming into town.

A privately owned property, which is a plus. A former Holiday Inn. I missed having a desk and had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi my second night. Quiet and a nice courtyard but it could use a good trimming. Some new paint. Very reasonably priced.

The room smelled amazing. The furniture was antique looking. The sheets and beding was high quality. The court yard was charming. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Cascades Inn is a diamond in the rough. It is quiet, clean, has comfortable beds, great location, and very affordable. We would definitely stay there again. It is aldo just around the corner from the IU football stadium.

Went to see my student at IU. This was a great, budget friendly option near campus. I could care less that the decor is out of date. Keep it that way and stay in my budget!

Nice little touches like music played at check in desk and in breakfast area. Cute extras like fancy mirror and light fixtures in bathroom. Comfy beds. All slept well. Kids enjoyed juice, yogurt, fruit and cereal options. Staff nice.

We moved our daughter into her apartment and spend one night. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly.

There is no hospitality until your 3rd night of stay. There were visible spider webs all over showing the room had not been vacuumed for a long time. The carpet is so old and sticky that there is no walking without shoes inside the room. The towel bar fell inside the tub, and the other towel bar fell as soon as I reached for the towels. The tub was full of black dots and mold on the wall. The room smelled of the cleaning supplies so much that it was hard to breathe. It seemed to me that instead of cleaning, there was stuff sprayed in the room to make it feel like it was cleaned. It was a really bad experience and I will not stay there again.

Close to IU campus and great rate for moving in my student. This is a vintage motel that has been remodeled. Nice courtyard and continental breakfast.

We enjoyed checkin; the staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and everything worked as it should. Breakfast was a little crowded because of the time. A couple customers left without. I would certainly stay again!

It's a bit run down and understaffed. Can use a remodel, better air circulation in rooms (it was humid and a bit stale), and more or better staff. While they were really friendly, the breakfast tables weren't clean (half ass wiped but still dirty) and weren't ready right at 7.
It was a continental breakfast, which was just okay. Enough for my needs. Coffee was excellent.

The best place to stay in Bloomington if you don't want to spend a lot of money. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable! A nice garden which I love. Very nice staff!
