The location was unbeatable! The hotel itself was basic but met our needs. They supplied a fan and heater as there was no AC.

No AC and sliding door locked because deck was just painted. Not cheap for this room.

Great location. The staff was exceptional, so polite and took time to share information for everything from outings to food to directions. Only problem was the heater turning on late at night. It was too late when we went to bed to call maintenance because we didn't want to wake up the entire family in the family room, so we opened the windows and then the train woke us up during sleeping hours.

Excellent location, wonderful staff. Our room overlooked the Bow River. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Will definitely stay here again.

The building is old and without air conditioning. The toilet clogged and water overflow. But staff were approachable and helpful to switch room for us

Lovely stay here - v close to river with chance of seeing deer and elk in mornings. Hotel is old style for sure but very comfortable - staff were very nice too

I chose this location because of the location, close enough to shopping and dining but off the path and right next to the Bow River Trail and a few blocks away from Tim Hortons for Morning Coffee. The hotel is dated but the rooms are comfy and clean. This hotel does not have air conditioning but they do have a small table fan in room. We did request an additional one , which they provided. The staff was incredible. Very knowledgeable, extremely kind and accommodating. One the 3nd night there my daughter asked if I could keep her dogs for the night and I asked the front desk and they said I should be able to switch rooms the next day-no problem. The only issue I had was that the next day was my daughters wedding. But the staff handle it all while we celebrated and when I got back for the night they had switched it all. HOW AMAZING! I was so worried and for no reason, they understood the assignment and killed it. I will be back for sure!

Property definitely needs an upgrade along with air conditioning

For a tourist destination vehicle parking left a lot to be desired.

Room was nice and had a sofa and an area to eat in the room. Nice view of the river from the balcony

Great Location for walking to EVERYTHING in BANFF. Roomy but need updating. Had the option to use pool, hot tub…at sister property but this was not very convenient. Desk staff was loud during the night. Opt for a River view room if available

I just didn’t quite the early wake up call from passing trains and would great if it posted about that but enjoyed my stay

The people were nice. The amenities available next door, the pool and the hot tub, were quite nice. The walkability in the area was very good, next to the river and downtownt. The rooms I felt could have been updated, they were just so so.

Bow View Lodge was nice, the only thing we didn't like was that we had laundry to do and had to go to the other motel that they also own and use the laundry room, it only had one washer and one dryer, the room was very dirty!! There were dirty dishes on the table and a microwave for people to use. It was GROSS!

The property is old and run down, it badly needs renovation. The staff are all nice though but the physical condition of the building needs to be addressed.

Even before we arrived they called to confirm and offering an upgrade. They helped on 2 excursions and they were great!

Please be aware that the photos included here include both the Bow View Lodge, as well as its sister hotel the (much nicer) Banff Park Lodge, which is very misleading. The Bow View Lodge was unbearably uncomfortable and wasn’t worth the premium price.

Wonderful location.

Good location. Easy walk to Banff street where there us no parking. So we left car at hotel & walked everywhere. Also very close to River & place to go for canoe rides

Having the river view room with a balcony really improves the use of the room for relaxing and just hanging out. It so close to everything for walking.

The staff were extremely helpful and very very pleasant both during the day and night. The hotel is very well located close to the main town center and buses so a car isn't needed. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Very close to river. Very friendly staff. Easy access to restaurants and shopping. Free and safe parking across the street.
