Service was good and the staffs are attentive.
However the hotel and the rooms are too old and there were unpleasant smell in the room that I couldn’t accept.

We had parcel delivered and the staff who was a handy man Mr Gaven Tan was very helpful to assist with buying strings and bubble wrap sheet for us to repack. The reception staff were helpful to book didi card for us and we were able to give him cash and he paid for the ride.

GREAT LOCATION!!!! Can walk to xiantiande, the bund, and nanjing pedestrian street very easily. Very large nice rooms and bathrooms. Excellent gym and friendly staff. Definitely would stay again

Very dated hotel that charges 4-star prices based on location and room size more than condition or upkeep. There are newer cheaper options in Shanghai that provide a better experience in my opinion. The hotel really has no areas for sitting and working with a laptop, and the patio seen in photos is part of a 2nd party restaurant that isn't part of the hotel and only accessible by a separate elevator and requires purchase to access. I had to move to a new room upon check-in due to broken door locks and bathroom fixtures falling out of the wall. My second room had a broken TV and needed a repairman to replace the cables in the back to receive a signal. I wasted several hours of my first day just settling into an acceptable room. In general, I wouldn't have been as disappointed if the price I paid was in-line with other hotels that have not been maintained and fallen to a similar level. The staff, however, were all friendly and extremely accommodating.

The air con does not work. It is way too hot and the run on cnetral air con thus if the air con is not switch over to Air con even in April when it is already hot. THe air comes out is hot.

Just know that it’s not what it’s shown on the pictures. Especially the pool. It’s China. In compare to price they’ve charged, it’s not what you will get.
A Norma meal in hotel restaurant would cost 350RMB, which is three times higher than the Chinese good quality restaurant just in the shopping mall beside.
Clean, good place, staff are nice but not good at English, poor buffet for breakfast with a menu for omelet which you can choose.

Swimming pool closes @7pm, unbelievable.
They won't allow you to sit by the window @ breakfast for unknown reason.
Breakfast is a pity, BTW.

Ok as a hotel, its alright. Very spacious rooms (more like an apartment), good comfort and alright location. I actually feel bad leaving a terrible review for their service since most of the staff had been friendly and helpful.The thing is, I was almost SCAMMED BY THE HOTEL BELLBOY. During checkout, the bellboy (more like middle aged mainlander thug) offered to order a cab for us. Being a four star hotel (five they claim), I did not expect any issues. However, after ordering the cab on wechat, he asked for 40 yuan, while I took a regular cab the other day for 16 yuan for the same distance.Another (legit) cab had came in and saw the situation, warning me of the scam. This escalated quicky with the bellboy yelling at the driver and forcing to drag him out of his car. At this point I had left already, but looking back, the so called taxi that was ordered for me had arrived and it was a black dodgy looking van. Goodbye!!

The hotel is great if you need to be around Xintiandi. The rooms are large and useful. However the cleanliness of the showers is suspect. The management need to be bleached to get rid of the mold and to do some minor maintenance to the rooms.
