Check-in/Check-out process is difficult outside normal hours.

What a lovely stay at the Scheffelhof. We stayed for 3 nights. Rooms clean, beds comfortable Had all that was needed. Breakfast downstairs in the bar was lovely. The hotel is above an Irish bar but no noise heard when inour rooms Staff were excellent, friendly and accommodating. The bar was also a great place to visit. Staff added music requests to play list for us. The hotel is a short walk from the train station, Swiss border and old Town facilities woul definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return Thank you to all .

Wonderful and very helpful staff, in a classic small-town family hotel. The ubication, in the center of Konstanz, made all visits and displacements easier, and the hotel atmosphere made us feel relaxed and 'at home'

The room for 3 at the top floor is not that comfortable, since the ceiling is not even (not comfortable for tall people)

No phone in the room to call up to the reception so every time you need something you have to climb down the stairs and tell them personally. A room with a large double bed had two separate single mattresses which kept moving and was not comfortable for a couple. Toiletries were incomplete.

Friendly staff - very helpful, advising re buses etc. Great breakfast. Really convenient location

The staff was excellent. Breakfast was okay. Location is perfect to reach many attractions. Rooms have fridge which was nice.

this hotel do not have the aircon, it will be a bit hot. I cannot image if someone go Konstanz in the summer

Wifi in corner of top floor triple room at end of corridor was patchy at any distance from door (router located near stairwell, at far end of corridor). A bit of a climb to top floor. Noise from street at night, as ground floor pub empties.

No real lobby, you check in at the restaurant. Just needed a sign to let you know

The Irish pub was very convenient and so was the location.

Parking in the centre is very expensive, but the management advised us where outside the centre we could park for free.

Central location, near the main railway station and Altstadt. Large, slightly querky room (with a mezzanine level that kids would love).

The reception is part of the pub, which is a bit odd (the doorway to "reception" takes you directly to the till behind the bar).

Great breakfast. Well-equipped room with kettle. Clean.

Good breakfast but no effort to prevent germs spreading at buffet. No hand sanitizer in breakfast room. No disinfecting between diners at a table. No spacing between diners. No disinfecting the handles and serving utensils. If one person had corona we could easily have all got it. They also do not warn you the booking cost doesn't cover the tourist tax. They wait til check out to tell you this. Other hotels do tell you this in advance.
