We spent time on the dock catching crabs with the pots and on lines with chicken legs, paddled up the creek in the kayaks, played yard games and hung out in the sunroom- kids table/chairs were nice. Great house for our family of 6 adults and 2 infants. The house had all of the entertainment we needed- corn hole, can jam, ladder golf etc. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, spices and cleaning supplies. Second refrigerator in garage was helpful. Mathews was a cute town with a grocery store and a couple restaurants. Enjoyed Richards for ice cream and on tap craft brews. Would love to return.

Jon's home was one of the best equipped places I've stayed. Every detail was thought out. The charm of the old home with the comfort of the new addition was perfect. The bed was so comfortable and i appreciated the quality linens. The kitchen had everything we needed. We used the fishing poles to cast a few times. Sitting on the dock in the morning and evening made for a restul stay. I highly recommed staying in this beautiful home.

This beautiful house, tucked back in the woods was an unbelievably magical place for our family to enjoy a long weekend. The owner, Jon, was amazing in all communication. The house was stocked with everything you needed to have a fun, carefree, exciting vacation and it just a short 10-minute drive to Haven Beach for the full on beach experience. It was probably the most comfortable and relaxing vacation we have had in a LONG time! Without a doubt, we will be returning.

The property was very nice! We love the house and the dock as well as all the fun games, fishing equipment and water activities found in the garage. It was very clean and all of my friends love it!

The property is perfect for a family vacation. The host provides all you need to stay entertained and enjoy the property. The small town near by is quaint and easy to access, and the community beaches are clean and very lityle traffic.

My family and I used this house as a base for exploring Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown. It wasn't a far drive each day and gave my son a yard to run around in. He loved setting the crab traps! Close to the restaurants in Mathews and not far from Gloucester either yet you feel a world away. The house was immaculate and spacious. Loved the game room, dock, and kayaks! We had wet, cold, windy, rainy weather most of the time but we would love to come back in warmer months and jump right off the dock! Jon was a great host and replied promptly to all my messages. We'll be back!

This peaceful and pristine farmhouse provided a wonderful getaway for my family. No detail is overlooked -- from a sunny kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook family meals, to the luxurious beds and cozy furnishings, to the indoor and outdoor games and equipment for fishing and crabbing -- there is something here for every age. Lots to do in the area, but you won't want or need to leave the property! Stunning views. Picture perfect. Would definitely love to return!

My wife and I just needed a quick get away to get some peace and calm back in our lives and I would say this house delivered. It was wonderful just to look out over the water and walk out on the dock. The house was super clean. The beds mattresses and linens were so comfortable we didn't want to get up in the morning. This was a great way just to escape the business of daily life.
