I got the confirmation from Booking.com But when I got there they said they didnt have a room for me. Plenty of rooms available on this site but they kept telling they were sold out!

No thermostat control in room. No staff may be the wave of the future but somewhat off putting. When a human materialized in the morning, they were able to move us to a room with an outside window.

I had a room that was much too hot to sleep in and once I realized that I needed to find the thermostat, I searched in vain. A call to the number listed as a contact for issues with the stay was not answered as it is not manned after midnight. I had to text someone in who knows where about the excess heat problem, I was repeatedly promised that the "local team" would "be there shortly"; later modified to be "in several hours". This mythical "local team never showed and I barely slept in the overheated room. This is NOT a property that Booking.com should list. Drop them !!

Room had no external window. Didn't feel entirely secure. No staff of course (which itself is not a problem when there's no problems). But ok if you just need a place to sleep

The window opened out onto the hall. Generally when I book with booking, they say if there is no window to the outside and I never book a room without a window. This made the room stuffy, we could not enjoy the cool alaska air and it angered me that I was not made aware of this before booking.

Clean

We absolutely loved this hotel! It is VERY new - as in, they just opened 2 weeks before we stayed there ourselves. The owners were so very helpful in bringing our luggage up and down (it didn't have elevators). They're still streamlining processes like checking-in, but it was fine. The room itself was beautiful - we actually had one that had 0 views, but that didn't take away from our enjoyment at all. It was super clean and carpeted. There is a TV hanging above a beautiful wooden desk that's pushed up against a wall. There's a refrigerator and a microwave. The bathroom was very new and clean and modern. The bed itself was divinely comfy. We got a King room, and to have that huge of a bed was a plus as well. Both the blankets and the pillows were super fluffy. We loved everything about this accommodation. As soon as we opened the door the first time, we had smiles on our faces. We would recommend this place to our friends and family, and you should stay here too! :)

The only thing I could foresee as a difficulty would be how there are no elevators for the elderly folk - but you can always ask for luggage assistance.
