The room was ok but the hotel was in bad state. Carpets very dirty. Emergency door hanging by the hinges...

The shower and the bed were ok.

The hotel owner (the person in charge at the reception) doesn't speak English neither French, which is unacceptable in Quebec. Zero communication!

I couldn't eat breakfast offerings as I'm gluten-free, was hoping there'd be oatmeal offered, and some fresh fruit. The night front desk manager was nice and kind. The bed was comfortable and supportive, and although the room and furnishings look tired and worn, the room was clean and everything worked. I did find it odd that the sink countertop was warped and bumpy.

I didn't like being awakened at 4:30 a.m. from a customer placed next door to me who was carrying on moaning and sounding like he was in anguish for about 10 min. The moaning and crying out resumed a half hour later. Found out he was brought to this hotel by police, and the same police came when I called for police to help. Police were no help at all, spewing off a customer's privacy rights at the expense of my sleep! The night mgr said that the police don't care about the noise disturbances made, nor do the owners of the hotel. I have disputed my hotel charges with my Visa card company since the hotel is not interested in contacting me nor willing to refund me one night's fee for horrific disturbance by another customer. Nor could that customer be evicted.
