Excellent hotel, would absolutely stay there again for more nights

Ubicación, instalaciones y servicio
Fue muy agradable en general

The room was clean but the pictures make it look 20 time better than it actually is. I liked that there was a fridge in the room.
The toilet made flushing noises every 3-4 minutes and kept us up throughout the entire night. It took about 30 minutes to check in because staff wasn’t 100% sure what they were doing. Parking sucked. Location was okay.
3.6
I liked the location because it was walking distance from union square. Staff were friendly.
The bed was not the best, you can tell it was an older building. The windows were thin you can hear and smell everything from outside.

Beautiful hotel. Very welcoming. Super helpful staff. Great rooms. Loved the glass of wine on arrival - very welcomed after a long journey.
Nothing really.

Very nice, would definitely stay here again

Nestor at the front desk gave me a late checkout
Have to go downstairs to get guests after midnight. Staff seemed a bit judgemental.

Room was absolutely beautiful. The windows are literally quadruple paned so it is incredibly quite inside. The staff is unbelievably friendly.
Parking is getting expensive in the city but there's no way around that. There is a good "self parking" garage around the corner for $38 bucks on Mason between O'Farrel and Ellis, way better deal than the $60 bucks next store and it feels safer.

Charging extra for early check in when the room is available is a fantastic way to loose customers. We are returning customers who come to the San Fran periodically. We even suggested this hotel to our friends who also stayed there. However, neither of us will be returning to stay at the Warwick. For the cost it’s not worth it. Beds are uncomfortable and amenities are lacking.
Beds are very uncomfortable and the extra charge to check in early. We arrived at noon and we’re told it would be $50 to check in early even though the room was ready.

Perfect location - very close to Union Square
Very thin windows - cold and extremely noisy

The team! I was traveling alone and had a frightening experience on the BART from SFO that evening. The lady at the front desk was friendly & patiently listened to me as I told her about my encounter.
The bar was still open & she suggested I go have a drink which I am so glad I did! I ended up having a great evening thanks to the bartender Roberto Flores! He was great & makes the best shaken margarita!

Overall loved the hotel, very quiet. You can tell it is historic building, and the room is smaller then we imagined. Loved the balcony that was our pull to stay here, not many hotels in area with them.

It could of had the lock latch on the door

The restaurant
The location was terrible after the sun goes down. One of the desk managers was highly disrespectful. never received the perks of staying there.

complimentary drinks.
Room very small. tv had horrible quality and no remote. in the bathroom the window wouldn’t close fully and the shower had rust. It’s fine if you come just to sleep and leave. was really hard to find parking to go check in and after check in the parking garage was not the same building so you better get your stuff right away or will have to get some workout done.

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. I got a bottle of wine and dessert brought to my room for my birthday. The room was very comfy and beautiful. It definitely gave early 2000s luxury.
3.6
the staff were really nice and helpful especially the front desk. close to union square and many bus stops. the bathroom was good. the window blinds close all the way down which is good for privacy. lots of table tops good for putting down stuff and storing belongings.
the bedrooms were really smelly and had bad ventilation. it aso gets really loud at night because of sounds from the streets. the walls are also too thin and i always hear a banging and people talking, or a knocking sound in my room from the wall. no idea what it was.
3.6
The deco and view was nice, sound blocking window works perfect in this busy area.
A/C was not working, have to ask for portable heaters or gonna freeze out at night.
3.6
The staff was nice and accommodating. I like the attached bar and restaurant.
The offsite parking and extr cost for it.

Location
Hotel staff is the worst. You definitely can't reach them and they just couldn't care less about their clients. Event complained on their personal survey and never received a reply. This Hotel has definitely gone awful. Second stay here, never turning back there.
3.6
The staff were very helpful organising a place to go after check in.
The one thing was not having breakfast facilities.

This booking was still online when the hotel was booked full. Got a refund from Booking.com, however the reviews seem very consistent. Even though the place looked nice, I think the staff are a bit overwhelmed with running a hotel. It should be a case of booking a hotel that was already full.
Take listings down when hotels are fully booked. Thank you for refunding.

Good location, friendly and accommodating staff.
Sofa bed wasn’t particularly comfortable and the area felt a bit unsafe at night.

I booked into one of the corner rooms that you see in the photos. It was adorable! Huge windows. The property itself (lobby, bar, restaurant) were all very nice, and exceeded what I expected for the price. I liked the free drink (wine) they offer at the bar at 5 pm every evening. There's also a Tapas restaurant adjacent to the lobby. The property is on same block as Starbucks and several take-out places such as Jack in the Box, including a good Asian option if you like Chinese/Thai food.
Parking. You typically have to park down the street at a different hotel's facility. Street parking is rarely available But it's also not safe to leave your car down there at nights, I was told. But it's San Francisco, so that problem is everywhere. The area's safety is fine during the day, and felt relatively ok at night for a solo woman like myself traveling alone, and walking everywhere... but very late at night it didn't feel as safe as the streets a block or two away. // The other issue I had while there was the AC didn't work very well. This was during one of the hottest times SF has ever had, however, and accommodations all over the city were struggling. Good news is it cools down significantly at night, like everywhere on coastal California, so you can open a couple of those huge windows and it lets the cool breeze come in. Tip: if staying during summer months like I did, close the curtains during the day when you're not there to keep the place cooler. (They are thick black-out curtains.)

To be honest, the cleaning lady... They were nice
AC was not working
The reception lady was rude
I checked in late
Switched room twice in 2 days by the reception
The internet sucks... very slow and can't have business meetings
Black face arts in their bathroom...

Great staff, spacious room snd clean.
Just some little things that made a difference. Couldn't find ice, wanted to call the front desk but the phone didn't work.
The WiFi was unsecured, we got a password but didn't need it. The pocket door didn't have a handle on one side so I wasn't able to close the bedroom off from the sitting area The tv remotes were Very difficult to manage, maybe batteries were needed, I don't know. It was late when we discovered that issue. Disappointed.

I just traveled to SF for a weekend concert; I arrived very tired after a long trip and all I wanted was to rest. I forgot my physical credit card and they did not give me any solution they just made me feel so bad, I travel alone and it isn’t the first time I travel, I have been in many countries and in many hotels and this is the WORST of all. They do not offer you a solution, they were not friendly, the staff smelled bad. Well, then I went to the hotel: "The clift royal sonesta hotel" it was a hotel 10/10 👌, and also the best of all, the staff are very friendly and speak many languages. I spoke with them in French and Spanish 10/10.

very little
room 203 is a disaster. located in alley with big noisy trash cans outside window. moved after 1 night to 206 which is large and ok But set up for handicapped so not that suitable for non handicapped. front SM desk claimed no better options available due to reservations but I wondered if they are anti Booking.com. Also no exercise room or connection to gym. Whole place is battered and old in need aid an upgrade - class 2 or 3 max. We will never stay here again and do not recommend hotel.
