Nice clean rooms but beds were itchy loud cleaning lady banging upstairs early in the morning.

It was very clean & comfortable. The property was very close to the boardwalk which made it easier for us to get through heavy traffic on Memorial Day. We used the kiosk to check in and out. Staff was great & nice. There is a private parking lot that made me feel safe about leaving my car there. There is a $100 security deposit that the Booking app doesn’t tell you about. All in all, I enjoyed the stay.
The shower floors are wooden floors which makes it very slippery.

Gutes Motel in Santa Cruz. Zimmer groß und sauber. Kühlschrank Mikrowelle und Kaffeemaschine vorhanden. Alles in allem ein guter Zwischenstopp auf einem Road-trip.
Gäste waren ziemlich laut.

It was clean
Didn’t enjoy staying here, the room was so dark we had to have lights on during the day. Deposit took ages to return ( I am honestly unsure if I have it back now) called the place to enquire, guy was super unhelpful, he said they already released it, emailed me a copy of the invoice (that doesn’t prove anything about deposit) then hang up without saying anything else.

I loved the spacious rooms. I have 2 littles and they did great with the space. The outside areas were a great place for the kids to run around before night time.
There were multiple people smoking weed outside the pool area and in the pool house. We weren’t able to swim.

The remodeled look was amazing. Upgraded rooms. The kitchen was awesome and definitely a money saver! Spa was huge and relaxing. Can't wait for the Bar to be opened.
It didn't have a wardrobe closet in the room or any pots or pans or utensils for use. I had to bring my own from home

Rooms are modern with ample space, bedroom and kitchen areas were very clean, receptionist was super friendly and even helped with printing out a boarding pass.
The noise level at the property is pretty high, not much insulation between the rooms (means banging, door opening/closing noises, bathroom noises through the night). People were smoking on the second floor balcony and it looks like there are some updates needed (some of the laminate floor boards had holes and no stopper in the bathtub, for example).

We got moved after our first night because the toilet was leaking. They moved us into a room. That was definitely not as nice as the one I purchased online.

I liked the location and the indoor pool and hot tub.
I didn't like that when I went directly and spoke with the host at the desk and requested fresh towels and bed service it was acknowledged, yet upon return, very late at night neither were done. But my trash bin was emptied.

Walking distance to the boardwalk and beach. Not having to worry about parking was also great. The indoor pool was a great time for the kids as well.

Room was not fully clean. Found dirty spots on the floor. Very strong smell of cleaner. No breakfast!

I love the rooms with the extra bed in a separate room and I love the indoor hot tub
The smoke alarm randomly went off in my room and I don't smoke at all, so it startled me. Also, I don't like how I have to call every time for them to turn on hot tub jets at 10am

Nothing, Couldn't stay because it felt so unsafe
Whole property loaded with very shady people that looked like they were on lots of drugs. No staff members were on site scared to go to the room. Had to get a hotel somewhere else and pay double.

Surf City is welcoming, with lovely costumer service representatives, clean accommodations, and best of all… convenient location with only an 8 minute walk to the pier. Next stay I look forward to experiencing their indoor pool!
