Unica pecca, un po’ buia..la finestra presente dava direttamente su un muro per cui non si riusciva a far entrare luce né tanto meno a capire se fosse giorno o notte.

Don't be put off by the entrance to the hotel and the reception desk. I had the most beautiful room on the fourth floor, and although facing the main road found it very quiet. My room was large, with a very comfortable bed and lovely shower. There was a sofa and writing desk as well.

The reception area seemed a bit scruffy and I was so surprised when I got to my room.

Hotel pequeño, la habitación es cómoda, la limpieza es diaria y eficiente y la ubicación es excelente. El personal no derrocha simpatía, pero cumple correctamente su función.

Las únicas críticas a hacer son la oscuridad de la habitación, y la falta de una jarra para calentar agua en la habitación. Cabe aclarar que en el segundo piso, hay un sitio donde hacerse un café o te, pero creo que una jarra ayuda a no tener que bajar en la mañana

Das Personal war sehr nett. Wir haben uns für das “Loft” entschieden. Was eher einem deutschen Durchschnittszimmer entsprach aber darauf war ich vorbereitet 😊Das Zimmer war sauber aber laut. Unbedingt Ohropax mitbringen! Direkt neben dem Hotel befindet sich eine Mülldeponie. Die Lage ist aber super!

Lautstärke nachts… neben dem Hotel ist eine Mülldeponie für Sondermüll (Richt nicht schlimm ist aber laut)

The location is perfect.

We had no window in the room.

We have stayed here before. The location is very good. Very close to Central Park. Lots of restaurants and bars. Beds are great. Staff is very nice and accommodating. The 2nd floor lounge is great. Plenty of seating and coffee all day. And the view of the street is great for people watching down below.

The hotel seems to need a bit of a touch-up. The wallpaper is coming loose. Lobby is rather dark. It's little things that can make somewhere go from good to great. In our room, the shower splashed onto the bathroom floor every time we used it. Leaving us to use our towels to mop up the floor each time. Also, their signage outside needs to be replaced. It's faded and hard to see amongst everything else, vying for your attention. It's very easy to miss the entrance since it's just a small set of stairs. And very unattractive. It's not an entrance that makes you stop and say, "I'd like to stay there!"

Moderne has an excellent staff, excellent location. There is secure 24 hr parking next door, and a very good Mexican restaurant is across the street. It is within walking distance to central park and the theatre district. very reasonable cost. We will be back.

Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic service. Hotel and room were clean, comfortable and well maintained. Housekeeping gave extra water bottles and towels daily in the hot weather which was very much appreciated. Excellent value for money. Room was large with lovely shower room. Bed was very comfortable and large. Very glad to have air conditioning and a refrigerator. The staff made us feel very welcome and made our trip even more amazing. Lovely to support a small independent hotel. Will definitely recommend and return for the next trip 😊

The location is convenient to where we needed to be.

Room was dirty. Complementary water bottles had not been refreshed from previous guests. Lighting was poor, room had a balcony with no furniture and that was filthy. Overall a depessing place. The price was exhorbitant. It is described as ac”boutique hotel”. Its not.

The location is excellent and the staff are fantastic. The hotel is small so we feel we get much better service than at one of the larger hotels. The rooms are good size and very comfortable. The bathrooms are compact but very well designed.

Absolutely no daylight in the room, the building of the hotel is surrounded by tall buildings, and there is no light in the room, making it ultra depresing. No laundry bags, safe is without proper instructions,....

Convenient location. It was very quiet at night. The room was clean and pleasant.

The shower is only partially enclosed, which turned out to once again be a terrible design flaw. The W Hotel used to have this until they finally put a door on and enclosed it 100%. No matter how you try to maneuver yourself, the bathroom floor and fixtures get soaked. You end up having to use towels to avoid standing in complete wetness. Needs a serious fix.

Location was great. The pillows were lovely and soft. Shower pressure was great.

Our room had only one window which looked out to back of a building. It had little to no natural light. My bed was quite uncomfortable and could hear the springs when I rolled over.

Exceptional service from all staff, especially Jerry and cleaning staff. Hotel & room was safe and clean. Fantastic location, easy walks to Central Park + Broadway but out of the crowd chaos. We used the lounge every day of our stay for take out breakfast & coffee machine.

Some of the rooms have no natural light, did not impact us much as we were out of the room most of the daytime hours.
