The peace and quiet, and the view.

The bed was the best bed i have slept in really comfortable.

Everything! This is such a lovely cottage. Everything was spotless, all good quality furnishings and equipment. Nice spacious rooms with easy access to a small patio area with table and chairs which overlook an large idyllic garden (which you are able to walk around) with a huge pond. Watching the wildlife flying in and out was lovely and very relaxing. We were welcomed by a very generous hamper with lots of goodies. The bed was soooo comfortable. The location is very peaceful but you do need a car to visit places, there is however, a lovely pub which serves great food within a short walking distance. Thank you Debbie and Ashley, the perfect hosts. We hope to return.

Very comfortable - lots of amenities. Kitchen was well equipped and the hosts supplied wine, bread, coffee, and fruit. The view was spectacular and the welcome notes were useful and easy to understand.

Strong perfume of air freshener when I first arrived - I prefer just fresh air. The bed linens were also scented. Would have preferred mugs than small cups and saucers for tea and coffee.

Wow! What a wonderfully relaxing week in this beautiful property. This is a cut above the normal self-catering places - lots of thought has gone into it and the little finishing touches all add up to an exceptional stay. The welcome hamper was very much appreciated! And that supersized luxurious bed - heavenly, I slept so well. We loved having breakfast looking out over the pond and watching the birds. The location was good for us but you would definitely need a car to stay here. The weather outside was grim, cold and very wet, but we felt cosy and snug tucked up in Pond View. Would recommend this property without hesitation, just don't book it when I want to go back there!

The rainfall shower is lovely, a good temperature and excellent pressure, but it occasionally runs on its own for no apparent reason - maybe it's the end of the line or something and is reacting to water moving elsewhere in the pipes? In the early days of our stay I was woken once during the night by a noise which I then identified as the sound of water hitting the tiles in the shower, and it also happened a number of times when we were both sitting downstairs, we heard the shower running briefly upstairs - weird. Once we knew what it was, it was fine, just a plumbing quirk.
