We stayed here for a week. The Hosts were excellent, friendly and willing to help, but the property left a lot to be desired. The neighborhood was fine and we felt safe. However, the exterior door to our apartment did not lock properly. I had to use a travel safety lock to keep the door from opening on its own. It was an issue when we left the apt. The gas stove was very hard to turn on. The refrigerator did not have a handle on it. There weren't enough coffee mugs (only 1 for 3 people). There were several small tea cups or espresso demi-tasses, but not suitable for an Americano. No kettle, so we had to boil our water in a pot on the stove. No sofa, or living room furniture. Either you sit on small, hard, kitchen chairs, or on your bed. The bathroom had issues as well. To sit on the toilet, we had to fit into a tight corner, and we needed to fit our knees under the pedestal sink. There was no shower curtain, often getting the floor wet. There weren't enough towel bars, only one small one for a hand towel. The bedroom had lots of drawer space, but not much closet space. The bed was lumpy, the sheets were threadbare, the pillows either less than 2 inches (4 cm) thick, or excessively thick and hard. We could not open windows because of the mosquitoes, even in late October. We were often awaken during the night to the hum of mosquitoes in our ears, and we were covered in bites after the first couple of days. The traffic noise was quite loud.

Me and my family absolutely loved our stay here. We couldn't have hoped for a better place as we settled ourselves into Pisa. This place is like having a 'real' home in a typical residential area of Pisa. If you're staying for more than a couple of days, I highly recommend this location as it is closer to the typical Pisan experience. In saying that, it is only a short walk to the tower, and the main downtown area (and only 30min walk to the train station). There's a pasticerria, cafe, pizzerias and supermarket close by. The place itself is very homely. It has everything you need, including good wifi. It also has tortoises in the garden! And a kitty. There is a small park over the road that was useful for our kids and dog. The best aspect of the place was the hosts. They are a beautiful older couple who were helpful, kind and thoughtful, and treat you like family as soon as you arrive.

Our stay was in July. It was record hot, and there are no air conditioners in the house. There were an awful lot of mosquitoes and no mosquito nets or other protection. There was no place on the children where they were not bitten.

Take a bus to the home.... Otherwise, it will be a long walk because the location is outside the city wall.....No AC too....very nice safe area...the apt is upstairs..

We absolutely loved our stay in Pisa. The place had plenty of room including a very large kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, and dishes. It is located in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood, but close enough to walk just about anywhere, including a nearby supermarket. The best part however was the hosts! They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. They provided directions and had many maps and tour books in the home. They even gave us a ride to the airport. I highly recommend you book this place if it’s available!

The Campioni couple were very gracious hosts in welcoming us to their house apartment when we arrived on February 1-2020. We found the apartment as we had expected from the several pictures available for the site. We settled very quickly and began exploring the city of Pisa and taking on the culture and restaurants. There was one hiccup in the apartment and that was a trickle of hot water in the bathroom and kitchen - however that was resolved fairly quickly (within days). In mid-February we explored some more of the lower Tuscany, Umbria and upper Lazio regions at the point where all three regions meet (as it were). The rest of February was consumed by visiting the many areas of Pisa and we took in 3 of their museums. THEN, the month of March came as did the Covid-19 virus and Italy as a whole soon became lockdown that forced us to limit our further perusal of Pisa and from March 11 onto the end of the month we were basically quarantined as were everyone else in Italy. Our hosts were most sympathetic of our plight and helped us throughout the ordeal in allowing us to have many of the "autodichiarazioni" printed that permitted us some freedom of movement in and around our neighbourhood that was very tranquil as the apartment was located in a very residential area. On our departure they invited us to come back to Pisa and spend a month as their guests, as gesture we much appreciated. It's possible we'll take them up on it. The immediate area of the house is well served by public transport; a supermarket COOP within 5 minutes walking; and most interesting an enoteca around the corner where you can buy excellent tuscan wines at every good prices; and several pizzeria/restaurants also within 5 minutes walking.
