The property was in a quiet neighborhood, great location and was as advertised! We would stay here again!

This guest suite was clean and designed well. Bed, bedding and pillows were great. Ceiling fan helped cool the bedroom at night with window open (no need for aircon in November). Comfortable couch and tv with well stocked kitchen. Easy access to the beach.

The property was as described in the online listing and Mark was a great host. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to other couples coming to this area.

Loved this location and will definitely be back! We were in town to visit our daughter who lives in Culver but wanted a less city feel. This location was great in proximity to her and being able to walk our dogs. The surrounding area was perfect for that. Us & our pups very much enjoyed the location & scenery. Very quiet property. Loved our stay!

This place is a great little apartment tucked in a nice quite neighborhood. It only took us 8 minutes to walk to the beach. I think we were about 15 minutes to walk down to the restaurants and market on Washington (two for one drinks from 4-8 every day at Cabo Cantina!). The location is great for going to and from LAX and SoFi Stadium. I think we were only 30 minutes to SoFi on event nights, one on Friday and one on Sunday. The place was well equipped with everything we needed. We cooked breakfast every morning. We definitely recommend and would stay there again.

I can’t wait to go back!! The experience was perfect beautiful home and area . I loved the trail it is just right next door to take a walk and stop to see all the unique flowers,roses and plants are unreal and to be so close to the beach is what I was looking for !!.Mark is so inviting and kind it was hard to leave I most definitely will be planning my next trip with Mark!!!!

We really enjoyed our two-week stay at Mark's condo. The condo space is so well laid out, with the bedroom completely separate from the living room and kitchen. The back patio and garden is charming and features a beautiful waterfall. We loved the residential feel of the area, as it is off the beaten path a bit but very close to the Venice boardwalk, with its many shops and restaurants. We easily cycled and walked to Trader Joe's and Ralphs. Best of all, host Mark is welcoming and accommodating. We appreciated both him as our host, and his beautiful condo.

Great location in beautiful Marina Del Rey with a private garden and waterfall for a Zen experience. Close to Venice for shopping on Abbot Kinney. Short walk to the ocean.

Mark's place worked very well for our stay in Marina Del Rey, and he was a most gracious host. He responded promptly to our questions before booking, to a request upon check-in, and made sure we were comfortable while he had some heater repair taken care of. The rental apartment is on the ground floor; it is small and refrigerator space is limited, but it had everything we needed. There is a very nice patio, well shaded so it helps keep the unit cool. We would recommend Mark's place to others and hope to return.

First let me say I own a property and use VRBO. And I grew up a couple of towns over. Location is convenient to silver strand, ocean, main strand, Venice Beach and everything the South Bay has to offer. It’s a small comfy first floor condo . Comfy bed and couch. Nice small kitchen. No dishwasher, half size refrigerator. It’s decked out with most of the cooking items I needed. Great coffee maker and coffee pods were provided. Which was really nice. The unit has air conditioning included throughout the whole building. The unit has access to a really nice patio with a water feature that is for the whole building. The unit has a parking spot which fit my Subaru Outback, but it’s not going to fit any vehicle larger than that. The owner was very nice, and lives in the building. He greeted us upon arrival even though it was late at night, and there was a nice welcoming form letter. The book of information inside is great for WiFi and access codes. The unit has a physical key entry , not an electronic secret code entry. The front door is glass and it has a sturdy front screen door. The rear french doors are glass as well that lead to the water feature patio. The unit was clean, but has a mold/mildew smell in the cabinet to the left of the closet in the bedroom. The unit is dark without the lights on, there are small windows on the outside wall. There is a fan and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. There are security cameras all around the outside of the building. When booking the unit there is no refund for any reason, and I needed to due to job. Upon arrival the owner notified us that one of the days we would be without power due to city maintenance. But if there is no electrical then nothing works in the whole unit. No hot shower. I mean nothing. And the power was off from the morning for about 6 hours. The owner did end up refunding half of the day cost for us. Which I really appreciated. Then the other item was that a person came right up to the glass door and jiggled the door handle to apparently come in. The first time I blew it off. The second time my daughter and I were watching TV and a person came up and jiggled the glass door handle and not shyly and then stood there for a good minute. We could see the shadow of a person through the glass door. I did not open it. I asked the owner was that you? He said, no. And then said Bizarre. We packed up and left a day early. The owner did end up refunding us that last night stay. Which I appreciated.

One of our best VRBO experiences! Mark communicated with us immediately upon reserving the guest house. Easiest check in! The guest house was very comfortable, stylishly decorated and went above and beyond with the little things that make the stay so enjoyable (toiletries, clothes hamper, well stocked kitchen, even "to go" cups for bringing your coffee on a beach walk!). Best location in Marina del Rey.

There isn't anything I can say that hasn't been said already by all of the previous guests. Mark was a gracious host from start to finish. His property was clean, had everything we needed, and in a perfect location for us to explore nearby attractions. I would most definitely stay here again. Highly, highly recommend. Thank you, Mark.

Fantastic location, easy check in and very comfortable

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week and had delightful time. The location was ideal - a 5 min walk from the beach but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of Venice beach restaurants. We especially loved the backyard patio with fountain. We would definitely return? Thanks, Mark!

Good location; a walking distance from the beach, venice canals, the Marina, and a variety of restaurants. Very clean and cozy accommodation. Close to free buses. Quiet, beautiful, safe and clean neighborhood. Great service from the owner. Five stars.

Mark had an incredibly lovely home, he had all the little things you forget when traveling and his home was really convenient to all the spots we wanted to see while we were in town! We hope to stay with him again some day!

Close to beach, and other venues

My wife and I rented this spot when we came to the Super Bowl. The location was perfect for us to get to the events around town. More importantly the location was just a few block walk from the beach. There are several restaurants and bars in walking distance or you can jump on the electric scooters to get you around. You also are not far from Venice Beach shops to go check out that scene. The place is in a quiet area in a cozy little spot. It is perfect for two people, not big enough for more than that. Small kitchen with the essentials, including a Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods supplied. Ralphs grocery store is in the area to get supplies. The bed was super comfy and there is a nice little sitting area out the patio with a fountain. We enjoyed our stay and would come back if we are in the area again.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time staying at the silver strand property. When I walked in, I immediately noticed the fresh aroma and cleanliness. Everything smelled good - the sheets, towels and bedspread. We stayed at the height of the pandemic and it was of utmost importance for us to feel safe. The host provided almost everything you could want. We were able to prepare nice meals in the well-equipped kitchen and afterwards we could cozy up in front of the electric fireplace and watch movies. It was a perfect and relaxing experience. One of my favorite parts of the house was the back patio area. We enjoyed the sounds of rippling water from the gorgeous fountain and loved the twinkling lights and greenery. We will surely be back the next time we are visiting Venice beach.

This is a Comfy and homey little apartment in a neighborhood of single family homes, peaceful and secure.

We had a great week here! This lovely compact unit has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The area is very clean and safe while the location is great for long beach walks and convenient to many restaurants.

Mark is a tremendous host. He was very gracious to us and always made himself available to any questions we had. The accommodations were perfect. The location was very centrally located. The apartment was very clean and the bed comfortable. The water fountain on the patio was very soothing and actually relaxed me for sleep. The neighborhood was very quiet and we felt completely safe throughout our stay. We will probably be back in a year or so and plan on staying again. My husband and I having nothing but praise for our stay! Thank you Mark! We had a fabulous time!!!

Loved our stay at Marks place. It is literally two-ish blocks from the beach and had everything we needed for our week long stay—including a stove and cooking gear for the few nights we cooked! It is a floor unit so there isn’t too much natural light but this just meant that we were incentivized to get out and walk along the beach! The backyard oasis is beautiful and I loved falling asleep to the waterfall each night. Thank you mark and we’d definitely return and recommend!

Exceeded all expectations on every level. Amazing location. Super comfy bed. Very quiet and peaceful and perfect for relaxing get-a-way. Owner was immediately available for the few minor questions I had regarding property. My dog loved all the nearby walking trails so close to the beach. Highly recommend.

Very clean apartment, which is extremely important! All the amenities you would need while living away from home. The beach was in great proximity to our place, with Venice and Santa Monica close by. Lots of great restaurants. Mark was a gracious host! We loved our stay! Thank you!
