Beautiful location. Very well equipped house. Comfortable beds, nice linen and towels. Enough fridge space.
Only thing was for 2 bathrooms and 9 people the hot water system was not quite sufficient. A couple of electric showers would have helped a lot.

the house was perfect our a work team of 7. The flexibility of the bedrooms was amazing as we could have some of the beds split into twin beds.
Fantastic living room with lots of space.
Thoughtful Welcome Pack was also available there when we arrived.
Everything we could possibly need was in the kitchen and simple instructions for things that we needed to know.
Beautiful walks literally across the road.

We had a lovely stay at Compass Cottage and we were blessed with lovely weather too. Good accomodation for 5 friends, nice and sociable and plenty of seating/space in the lounge. Everything you need and a lovely sea view. One minor point - a little bit of overkill on all the notices left round the house - would be better kept all in one folder. There were so many it put me off reading them!

Compass cottage is a lovely house and my family and I really enjoyed our stay. The view from the house was amazing, and we went on so many walks with even more amazing views. It was the relaxing get together time we were all looking for.

We had a group of 8 staying and up to 11 for dinner. The house was perfect and unbelievably well stocked.
The owner was fantastic - making sure we arrived safely, the welcome gifts, Xmas trees all up.
While the weather was wet and windy it did not stop us hiking the wonderful Jurassic coast path.
Absolutely brilliant stay and cannot recommend this property highly enough.
PS don't try and go up and down the steps at Houns Tout in 50 mph winds, calf deep mud and heavy rain. Terrifying!

The property was well equipped particularly in the kitchen. Overall cleanliness good. Social areas are excellent for large family groups. Beds very comfortable. The village is lovely and cottage is in a peaceful setting but close enough to explore area's of interest. Cottage manager very helpful. All in all a very good autumn get-away.

We had a great week at Worth Matravers it is a great base to explore the area with Swanage and Wareham not far. We travelled the coast easily and enjoyed some walks close By to Winspit Quarry.
A great family vacation, the house was great for our family and if like us you are a big family then the use of the campsite at the top of the hill was perfect for us all to meet and enjoy a family holiday.
The house had everything we needed, plenty cutlery and kitchen equipment, and we enjoyed evenings in the large lounge area a great space for catch ups, wine and games.

Great property, spacious, clean , no shop nearby so need a car . Brilliant pub up the road but only does snacks. No restaurants in walking distance. Kitchen in property has a you need . Nearest shop in Swanage . Views are great , but not from back garden only from master bedroom and lounge. But bench out front. Lots of parking . Bathrooms could be up dated but all in working order. Overall a good quiet place to stay .

Great house and location
A fantastic location and ideal house for a family gathering. The house was comfortable and clean with plenty of living/dining space and very well equipped with everything we needed plus thoughtful touches. It was great for a young child with plenty of space to run around plus a clean, sturdy, comfortable cot provided - I mention this particularly because in my experience cots provided in hotels/holiday cottages are often awful! Highly recommended, I would happily return.

Compass Cottage is a spacious and well-equipped property, very well suited to larger, cross-generational family groups. The large lounge and other downstairs spaces are good for socialising or just chilling out.

From the minute we drove through Corfe Village towards Worth Maltravers we were hooked, we could not believe how beautiful our surroundings were.
We woke up early for sunrises and evening walks after dinner to sunsets views across the hills just a short walk from the cottage, a local pub was very friendly & quaint.
We had a great family break with many visits along the Jurassic coast.
The house was amazing so much room & space for lots of adults and great cooking facilities with a huge table for the evening meals, we made the best memories.
Our host was most helpful, nothing was too much trouble

Great stay to celebrate a 60th birthday!
My family loved staying at this holiday home to celebrate a 60th birthday. The property had everything we needed and Wendy (the host) was great at communicating with us. Wendy also provided us a welcome package which was really appreciated. I would really recommend this property to other and the local area is also stunning!!

The house is well appointed, beautifully clean and the owner is very friendly and helpful. There was a generous welcome basket.
There were six adults in our party and we managed well by using the downstairs utiility room as a third ensuite for the couple sleeping downstairs. (The upstairs rooms have sloping ceiings so although there are double beds it would be hard to get into bed from both sides of the bed.)
We loved the local walks and other beautiful places not far away.

Perfect getaway
We had a lovely few days staying at Compass Cottage and exploring the amazing local areas. The house was clean and bright and spacious, and had everything we needed. The manager went out of her way to make sure we had the best time, even when our plans changed a little, and there were nice little touches, like fresh bread and biscuits for us when we checked in. Overall a great place to stay - and the location is amazing.

Wonderful holiday in beautiful location
Compass Cottage is the perfect holiday house in an idyllic village setting. Wendy went to so much effort to make the house Covid safe which was very much appreciated. It is extremely well equipped and very comfortable. There are plenty of walks you can do from the house and nearby. We hope to return again soon!

Loveley cottage in a lovely setting
We were 5 adults and 4 children, ranging from age 3yrs to 76. The property is very spacious and accomodating for large families. The views, and the walks right from the doorstop were stunning, and it is also conveniently located to explore other popular spots on the coast. We enjoyed our stay at Compass Cottage very much, and made for a wonderful family holiday.

We stayed for a week with our extended family of 8 adults and 2 children to celebrate husbands 60th.
Despite the stormy weather we had a fantastic time. The house is a delight, so spacious yet warm and cosy. The house is very well equipped and we also appreciated the lovely welcome gifts.
Highly recommend and hope to come back again.
