Notre Lake House est une communauté unique en son genre .... elle s'appelle Del Dios, surnommée "la vallée des dieux", sur la rive ouest du lac Hodges, dans le comté de San Diego, à Escondido, en Californie. "C'est un endroit génial à vivre et excellent pour la détente, les familles et les activités de plein air"

Nous sommes le seul chalet de location de vacances au lac Hodges! Le bord de l'eau n'est qu'à quelques centaines de pieds de la maison.
Notre lodge de style artisanal de 1000 pieds carrés dispose de deux chambres. La maison est indépendante et peut accueillir jusqu'à 4 adultes et 2 enfants. La terrasse donne sur la vallée, le lac et les montagnes locales. Le célèbre lac Hodges regorge de kilomètres de sentiers (traversés par la célèbre côte à crête); Del Dios est une destination réputée pour les coureurs, les cyclistes, les randonneurs, les randonneurs, les cavaliers, la pêche, la navigation de plaisance, les promenades au coucher du soleil ou tout simplement les pique-niques au bord du lac. Les clients disent qu'ils se sentent loin de l'agitation quotidienne, mais aiment être à quelques minutes de la ville principale, les grands centres commerciaux et des centres commerciaux. The Lake House est une parfaite sortir et excellent pour les familles, couples et des professionnels. Il y a peu de maisons dans notre rue, elles sont éloignées les unes des autres et bien que les voisins soient amicaux, ils restent entre eux. C'est vraiment un endroit idéal pour se détendre, se ressourcer et jouer.
Où est-ce?
Lac Hodges dans le nord du comté San Diego....
Les principaux centres commerciaux, supermarchés, restaurants et brasseries sont à quelques minutes. La ville principale a tout et est à seulement 5 minutes. Des attractions comme le San Diego Safari Park à Sea World à Legoland sont un lecteur rapide et facile. Del Mar Thoroughbred Racing & Novel Attractions, terrain de polo, spectacles équestres, plages locales, pool de marée, plage pour chiens et l'Interstate-5 est à 15 minutes et se trouve à seulement quelques minutes de l'autoroute 15. Rancho Santa Fe est à moins de 5 minutes en voiture. Les terrains de golf et de conduite locaux sont à quelques miles, Torrey Pines Golf Course est à 20 minutes. Disneyland prendra environ 75 minutes, les montagnes locales et les casinos comme Harra's & Valley View Casino prennent environ 40 minutes, le lac Henshaw est à 35 min. Palomar Observatoire moins d'une heure et la neige dans les montagnes locales est d'environ 45mi, le ski est disponible il faudra 3hr à Big Bear, ses 327mi à Mammoth Lakes, le désert est 1 heure de route et la ville historique de Julian est 1hr drive. Down Town San Diego et tout ce qu'elle a à offrir est à moins de 30min. Les musées sont local ou visiter le parc Balboa environ 30 min en voiture autoroute. Down town Escondido propose des repas et la vie nocturne. Le marché des agriculteurs est le mardi et le dimanche et à quelques minutes en voiture. Marchez jusqu'au restaurant local "Le célèbre Hernandez Hideaway", une cantina de style mexicain juste à côté du lac et à quelques pas de la maison.

Les murs sont imités à la main avec l'aspect du cuir suède. La salle de bain est décorée avec des carreaux et des poutres créatifs. Au large de la cuisine se trouve une petite terrasse idéale pour le café du matin et les boissons en soirée, du côté est de la maison, de grandes terrasses pour les réceptions, ainsi qu’un excellent barbecue / fumoir. Notre cour regorge de plantes succulentes, de vieux peuplements et d'arbres fruitiers. La plupart des animaux sont les bienvenus.
Nous avons séjourné dans de nombreuses maisons de vacances, mais peu d’entre elles sont aussi accueillantes et vous laisseront rêver de revenir. Notre maison est ouverte à tous ceux qui recherchent ce lieu où nous aimons tous être. et s'éloigner de la circulation et du stress.

This is the perfect little bungalow for a simple family getaway. The house has character, is clean and neat, and has everything you need. The yard/decks are fantastic for enjoying morning coffee or a BBQ with friends. Ultra quiet location too (I think I saw 3 cars pass the house during our entire stay). Close to most everything you could want...the beach, attractions, freeways, groceries, etc. The owners were very attentive and addressed an air conditioner issue promptly, so we were once again cool. We hope to come back again to enjoy this home!

Needed a place to stay w our adult children & this was perfect. Was graduation weekend for UCSD & we wanted somewhere away from the crowds! Everything in SD is spread out & the 20-30ish mins drive to anywhere we wanted to go wasn't bad at all in comparison to other places we could have stayed. Daughters slept in the room w the full bed & son on the couch Qn bed. We didn't spend much time at the property but enjoyed the fun, relaxed lake vibe while there. Everything was clean, worked well.

This is a charming little house in a stunning big yard with multiple levels, loads of plants and trees, lots of birdsong and plenty of seating. The indoor space is clean and cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had the best family stay at Paul and Lynn's place! It's such a great location right down the street from Lake Hodges, ideal for outdoor activities but also a relatively short drive to many stores, restaurants, the zoo, Petco Park, and the beach. The house is really cute, super clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable. We all slept very peacefully and enjoyed coffee in the morning outside on the deck with a beautiful scenic mountain view. Lots of outdoor seating and lounge space. I recommend staying here and would definitely stay again!

Everything perfect! Only negatives-bed in bedroom closest to street could be more comfortable and washer doesn’t work, couldn’t do laundry. Otherwise it would’ve been perfect. These things will not keep me from coming back next year. Absolutely beautiful!

My husband and I had a magical week here! The property is lovely and gave our 2 dogs plenty of room to roam. The lake trails and the neighborhood are fantastic. It was the perfect place to unplug and relax - and paint a rock or 2! The hosts respond quickly and had great suggestions for local spots although we spent most of our time enjoying the yard. Can’t wait to come back!

When people look for VRBO stays they have rarely any idea of the neighborhood or of the personalities of the hosts. I can say unequivocally these are the nicest most professional and friendly hosts I've ever encountered and their property is magical simply magical. The yard is lush oversized succulents and euphorbias cactuses poems fruit trees and all the neighbors are nice as well.
This has been one of the nicest stays I've had with any VRBO.

We travel to the San Diego area to visit our adult son and have stayed at several properties over the years. This was definitely a favorite. Unfortunately it rained a lot during our stay, so we weren't able to use the outdoor areas as much as we would have liked. But the indoor space was great for our stay, with the large picture windows making it feel open and almost as if we were outside. When the sun peeked out a bit, we drove into Temecula for some wine tasting, then stopped at the store on the way back and cooked dinner two nights. The hosts were very gracious and despite the wet weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

My wife, our pups and I had an incredible stay here. We came down to do some business and visit family, and I only wish we never left the property. I have to say, as you drive up, you can begin to see the care they put into the home, and their intricate garden. Let me explain below.
The home: This is in no way your average vacation rental. This is a beautiful, unique custom home. Vibrant tile work in the bathroom, and throughout the house. Artistic fish mosaic tile in the bathroom, natural terracotta tile in the kitchen separated by beautiful stone tile from the living area. If course there is a large smart TV, and a very fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and high-quality furniture. Again, not your standard vacation rental. Of course, I need to mention the beautiful sunrise behind the behind the spectacular mountain and over the lake - viewed right from the kitchen and entire living area - without looking for it. The mountain view is just as beautiful as the lake.
Now for the yard. WOW! The yard itself has to be close to 1/2 acre (maybe larger). So much attention and time has gone into this. The third morning, I was still noticing different species of succulents and palms - and the canary island palm shade tree - just wait until you see it. This is a lush, fully fenced yard, very well furnished with top quality tables, chairs - and yes, cushions. I almost forgot to mention at least three decks with views. Who needs Hawaii.
Also, in communicating with Lynn, she had mentioned that she left us a bowl of freshly picked passion fruit from the property. I can definitely say that was a first for us. With all of that, one thing that really stood out was, we ended up with a flat tire on our car the morning we were leaving. I texted Lynn in the morning to let her know, and she offered me a totally unsolicited late check out offer - like "take all of the time you need" since there were no other people checking in that evening. Who does that?
Although we were there for a reason, this home, and setting are an absolute vacation destination in itself and I truly can't wait to go back again and again - just to go!

We picked this place to stay because the hosts were very responsive before we arrived, and the reviews were excellent. Upon arrival, the area WOW'd us with the open floor plan, lots of natural lighting, tidiness, and colorful artistic decor. You have great space, and it's quiet. We brought our two medium size dogs, and the outside (fully fenced yard) was large and plenty for them to run and play. It's also wood-chipped, which is excellent for the paws. We spent most of our time outdoors; the only two neighbors on the hill were practically hidden and silent. You can walk down the hill to the Mexican cantina or the county trails/lake Hodges. We drove a short distance into town, 12 minutes to DiCicco's Italian Restaurant (outstanding food & relaxing atmosphere). If you need an Organic health/grocery store, there is Jimbo's across the way, 2 minutes from the restaurant, and nearby coffee shop Black Rock Coffee Bar.
The dogs enjoyed the long hikes, and the trails will give you the distance/mileage and direction to follow to the park/viewpoints/bridges. The lake had pelicans, ducks, and wildlife of birds if you enjoy birdwatching which we do. The wifi is fast and works terrific if this is a priority, and they have Ruko for later TV. Everything in the house is fully stocked for cooking and kitchen/bathroom supplies. I appreciated the stainless pots/pans as these are a healthier choice than the non-stick Teflon most VRBOs provide. Highly recommend it and would do this again. Lastly, we had the pleasure of meeting the host, Paul, in person, and he was very down-to-earth, kind, and relaxed. Lynn was very prompt, and personal and answered every question we had. Overall this was a good vibe stay!

We enjoyed the peaceful and restful location. Not sure I would say there was a lake view though. Thankfully there was central air that worked as it was triple digit HOT weekend!! Would have been nice if air had been turned on prior to arrival at 9:30 pm as it was like walking into a furnace that took several hours to cool down so we could sleep. The accommodations were nice and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay including my sister and her friend who slept on sofa bed. We did run out of propane while barbecuing so had to finish on stove as all extra tanks were empty. We still had a great time. For R&R, this is a nice place.

Hillside overlooking the lake and valley. Very clean with an artsy southwest vibe. The outside areas were the best. We brought our two dogs and they just loved it! Room to run and explore in the fenced in property accessed by a doggy door. Decks to enjoy the views and very peaceful! Owners were nice and available but not intrusive. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. Really enjoyed our stay and would without hesitation stay at this property again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very quiet neighborhood, a large yard for my dogs to run around in, house was beautiful and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owner's were very helpful, making the check in and check out process a breeze. I highly recommend this place to anyone!!

Wonderful Lakehouse Retreat!
My family and I enjoyed our stay at Lynn and Paul's lake house so much! There is a lovely, very large, yard area for playing and they have paints out for all the guests to paint a rock for the garden. My almost three year old was thrilled with that activity! It is a very quiet place, and a really short walk down to Hernandez Hideaway! Lynn and Paul were very responsive- only had to reach out a couple of times with questions, but they were quick to reply and very helpful both times. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet retreat! Feels so much further away from "town" than it really is!

Lovely lake house.
This little gem of a lake house was a perfect weekend getaway! Nice hiking, close to Stone Brewery and fabulous backyard with a lovely garden! We loved sitting on the balcony to enjoy the view and all the fun activities in the backyard from giant Jenga, corn hole and rock painting.

My husband and 2 small dogs escaped from fireworks during New Year’s Eve.
Spacious, clean and quiet from noises during fireworks. Friendly owners live in town. All fenced backyard with natural settings. Equipped with basic needs. Hernandez’s Hideaway bar is walking distance. Lake is walking distance. . Serene garden
With many outside seating.. Roku TV. Mattresses are okay. Old equipments and furnishings, but worked well.

Beautiful oasis
We enjoyed everything about this property. It was a perfect quiet setting for our family. Our dogs loved the fenced yard. The fireplace was romantic. Kitchen was well equipped. We loved our time here and will definitely be coming back.

Utopia found!
Beautiful grounds, sweet house full of delightful details. Great departure point for safari park, Disney and even a jaunt up to Big Bear for the day. Loved dining al fresco under the festive patio lights and sipping coffee watching the birds. Platform swing and lawn games for the kids were a hit!

Lakeside Paradise
We had a better than dreamed of experience. Lynn and Paul have created a lakeside retreat that is welcoming and fun. We arrived to the tranquil sounds of water features, light music playing, clean and fun interior accommodations, as well as outdoor space that met everyone's desires. My 8 year old son began planning his return to this getaway before we even unpacked. We will definitely be back.

This is a lovely retreat for the weary soul or whole family. The water features outside and the wind chimes bring a feeling of Zen over you like I've never felt before. Beautiful view, great amenities, and it feels like home. I will be back! Thank you!

Adorable little hide away
This property was perfect for our visit to Escondido. It was clean, quiet, and had all the amenities we needed. Our dogs had a great time in the large landscaped backyard and the nearby lake trail. We will definitely be back!!

Cute and cozy cabin with an amazing view!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The internet was fast, so we were both able to take zoom calls in the mornings and then enjoy the outdoors in the afternoon. The cabin itself was cute. Nothing fancy, but perfect for just the two of us. We fell in love with the outdoor space! I took most of my calls from the balcony off the kitchen with an amazing view of the garden and the lake in the background. We would definitely stay here again!

Great retreat
Paul and Lynn's place is a very beautiful and peaceful place to stay at if you want a relaxing vacation. The back yard was huge with multiple decks and multiple seating areas. A great place to eat, to relax and read a book, or to paint little rocks (that they left with painting supplies... a really fun activity to do with kids). There was a firepit in the backyard (with another seating area) to do smores or BBQ sausages. The balcony (with yet another seating area) had partial lake view. The house is only 2 blocks from the lake so easily accessible for hiking and biking. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here.

Beautiful Lake House
What a great place! The pictures online do not do it justice! Loved the house, we didn't want to leave. So nice, so relaxing. We hiked around the lake, painted rocks, and just had a nice getaway. Would definitely go back.
