Great property, really cosy homely feel, we felt comfortable immediately. Lovely size pool and gardens. Great view of the sea and sunsets. I would advise hiring a car but the property is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the garden and pool were amazing, all the staff were great - Jackie, Annette and Richard. Any small hiccup was dealt with very quickly and efficiently.if you don’t have a car, the hill could be a challenge - we are both in our 80s and could manage it! Many thanks for a great stay.

Manager, Jacqueline was very accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately a few members of our party contracted Dengue due to the excessive rain which is exceptional for January resulting in more mosquitoes that carried the virus. A suggestion would be to install screens on doors to minimize mosquitoes entering your beautiful home. Hummingbirds was a beautiful home. Having a pool was great.

We stayed at Hummingbird House for 10 days in November and had a fantastic time. The house manager is lovely and very helpful, the house was perfectly clean with great A/C in the bedrooms, and the pool is fantastic. Loads of wildlife around you as you stay, great views and a good location for accessing the rest of Barbados!
The house is a great location for accessing the West Cover and with a taxi you can get to places like Harrisons Cave within 20-30 minutes. If you're booking trips around the island with a transfer you can get picked up from Waves about five minutes walk away, there is also a well stocked supermarket within walking distance and both Bridgetown/Holetown are 10-15 minutes by taxi/car. There's a couple of bus stops within five minutes walk, the buses are regular and cheap to get around.
There's a lovely beach at the bottom of the road, you can see the sea from the house and several excellent restaurants (La Cabane at Batt's Rock Beach, QB Bistro/The Cliff, and Il Tempio) within 15-20 minutes walk or a few minutes by car. You can go paddleboarding at Paynes Bay and I'd recommend the Submarine trip near Bridgetown!

What is advertised is what you get and the pool is a godsend. But the only moan i have is the steep hill to get up if you go out walking. Hiring a car is a must to get around, but buses are frequent and cheap. Had a great time

Hummingbird House was exactly as described and shown in the photos. It was the perfect base for our holiday being near beaches, shops and facilities on the West Coast. It was equipped with more things (cool bags/ice packs, etc) than I have previously experienced in a rental to make self catering easier. The pool was brilliant for days we didn’t want to go to a beach and the villa had enough space for all of us to relax.
We were well looked after by Jackie, she couldn’t have been more helpful, answering queries promptly and checking in on us regularly to make sure everything was fine. And her staff were friendly and polite.
This will be our first choice if (when) we return to Barbados.

Lovely villa with pool and gardens, in a quiet area which is Convenient for south and west coast. We hired cars for 2 weeks so easy to get about. Jackie the housekeeper is lovely and very attentive, alaso the cleaner Annette was a lovely lady. We were 2 mins drive from La Cabane where we spent a lovely evening food was perfect especially the lamb. We,ve been a few times to Barbados so had already done the usual sightseeing places. We know our favourite places now. But we hadnt been to Harbour Lights so decided to try it. So glad we did as we all enjoyed even our two granddaughters ages 5 and 7. The entertainers worked so hard to put on a show which we all enjoyed. Hoping to be back next year maybe for a longer stay.

Our stay at hummingbird was lovely. The villa has everything you need and has a beautiful garden and pool. It really felt like a home from home. The beds were so comfortable and air con was lovely at night. Jackie was amazing and was on hand if we ever needed anything. Full of knowledge and willing to help. We didn't need anything though as the villa is packed with everything you could need. Monkeys and chickens visited often, and the sunset view was lovely. We hired a car which was handy to get around, there is a bit of a hill to get to the villa but most people could manage it. The villa felt totally safe as well, not that we felt unsafe in Barbados though. Wonderful place and wonderful people. Would definitely return and would stay at the villa again if we did.

We enjoyed our holiday at Hummingbird house, our time was very calm and restful . We enjoyed the pool very much and spent some considerable time at the property just chilling out.
Jackie the house manager was on hand at all times , a charming lady who provided as requested
our first meal on arrival and an excellent goodie bag to get us going, inc 6 of the local beers !
I can highly recommend hummingbird house and hope to return again soon.

I just wanted to pass on my thanks from myself and the family for the stay at Hummingbird. We had a fabulous time – the villa was fantastically equipped – handy when Virgin break your pushchair on the way out !
We didn’t want for anything and Jackie and Annette were fabulous – truly made us feel at home. The gardening and pool team likewise – lovely people who did a great job.
The location is superb and we felt safe at all times.
We were truly sorry to leave but back to the real world until next time !
Thanks again to you and Jackie and please pass on our thanks and appreciation to the other team also.

House was very well equipped with all that you needed. Host greeted us when we got there, showed us around and how things worked, then called and checked on us about 3 days after being there. We enjoyed the private pool in the evenings, and sitting out on the patio. We rented a car, which made it easy to get around and explore, but when booking an excursion, they picked us up right at the house, which was very nice. It was cool to see the monkeys run thru the yard, when sitting out there. The only negative I can give is the crickets are loud at night, and the dog across the street, constantly barking. Otherwise I would highly recommend a stay here.

We were a party of 5, 4 adults and my 13 year old daughter, we found Hummingbird House a perfect location for getting around the Island.
The house was spotless and had everything we needed and Jackie the house manager was always only a call away if we ever needed anything. The pool is a amazing addition that we made great use of. Overall I can't sing the praises of this property enough it was perfect.

Fabulous time
We have stayed in many villas on the west coast, and on arriving at Neil’s family home, we felt exactly that, at home. It’s in a perfect location for the beach, and in a really friendly ‘small’ neighbourhood. The large pool is fantastic, and the gardens are beautiful, loved sitting out in the warm evening, enjoying the fireflies and tropical sounds (and sunset views). We also enjoyed many daily visits from the rooster/chickens, and monkeys early in the morning, along with the view of horses, cows and goats! Il Temio, a lovely Italian restaurant right on the beach (and a 10 min walk) become our favourite spot, reasonably priced, great cocktails, great sunsets and lovely staff. I realized writing this review just makes me wish I was back there, which we will be very soon I hope! Thanks Neil, Annette and Jackie for everything, including the additional assistance at the end of our holiday, it was much appreciated.

Home Away From Home
We thoroughly enjoyed our 12 nights at Hummingbird. Felt like we were at home. The house was well equipped. Loved the pool; the layout of the house; the neighbourhood was quiet and safe with friendly neighbours. We enjoyed the visiting wildlife: monkeys, roosters, chickens, black sheep and horses. Great location for walking to the grocery store and beaches. Also taxis were easily available in the neighbourhood. Excellent meals provided by Wesley, one of the local taxi drivers.
Both Neil and Jackie were very good to deal with being prompt and attentive to our needs. We appreciated Jackie bringing in our requested groceries so that we could eat in on our first night. Annette, the maid did a good job of cleaning the house.

Heavenly Hummingbird!
What a fantastic place to stay! Walking distance to the beach, restaurants and local shop. Hummingbird House makes for the perfect destination for a relaxing retreat on the stunning Platinum Coast.
The house had all the amenities you could need, including a blender for your own cocktail concoctions to sip by the huge pool and looking out over to the aqua marine Caribbean Sea, watching the glorious sun set - All whilst sitting out at poolside in the stunning mature exotic gardens.
Neil, the property owner communicated everything we needed ahead of our trip and Cathy the property manager was second to none whilst on the island. If you get the chance you should definitely take Cathy up on her Coconut Curried Shrimp or the Macaroni Pie and Wings. - both were excellent quality and value at $120BD and $100BD respectively.
We would return in a heartbeat.

Great stay overall
Hummingbird house was peaceful and relaxing, we had a great time, just sunbathing and swimming in the pool, the house is well equipped, and had everything we needed. Catherine the manager was lovely and very helpful. On the whole we enjoyed our stay, only slight issues were outside lights not working, Catherine had bought 2 solar lights but they were on sensors so went off after 5 minutes, master bedroom light not working, so had to downstairs to use bathroom after dark. sheets/bedding, towels were of poor quality and were well worn. All in all a lovely property, just needs a bit of an update and some TLC. Good value, close to beautiful beaches, supermarket, et. We hired a car and toured the Island, this was a great base.
2.0 / 10.0
Our arrival was great, and villa is well equiped.
However there were several issues that we had!
The manager dealt with these as quick as possible. We advised the owner who has given us a small amount of compensation/refund, which we reluctantly had no choice in accepting leaving us massivly out of pocket.
So the issues:
No air con in one of the bedrooms, not maintained so had to have engineer to re gas
Grass/garden overgrown, the gardener arrived afew days after arrival cut grass and left cuttings under a rusted broken swing set! And also left curtings around the pool area, nice hiding places for giant centepedes that frequented us from day 1,these are very common on east coast not the west! If the property had been sprayed they would not of visited so frequently.
Mosquitos ....a real problem here, garden is overgrown even some Bajans said it needs cutting.back,we got bitten loads the day of arrival and ended up with Dengue, this could of been potentially avoided if fogged and maintained.
No TV,had to wait 3 days.
Gutterings broken
Leaking roof
Fan fell down from roof onto gkass table, thankfully no injuries.
String tied onto fans rather than proper cable, leads.
Cockroaches were plentiful upstairs?
Ripped mattresses
Ripped voiles
The garden was not properly maintained whilst in residence
We were asked if they could show prospective buyers round whilst we were there, we found this not acceptable.
One of the doors had to be slammed shut hard to close.
Pool could of done with a touch up.
We did not feel safe here because of the issues and left early.
Ensure you put the pool net poles over pool at night else ghe bats drink the water and poop in it at the same time!
Bedding is of poor quality and no mattress protector
Upstairs toilet is broken and tatty
Neighbours were friendly.
Our understanding is that the property had been closed up for 9 months, therefore leading us to believe its not been kept uptogether.
This is our honest informed review that the owners and property manager are aware of these issues mentioned, im sure it would be fantastic if it had been maintained and a little care taken with it.

Spacious property - good value and good base for exploring
From my initial enquiry to (reluctantly) leaving the property everything was perfect. The owner Neil and Housekeeper Jackie are quick to respond to any questions and will do anything they can do to make your stay a pleasant one.
We felt the house was more spacious than it appears on the photographs.
A group of six of us inc. two teenagers (aged 13) stayed for two weeks over Christmas 2019. Some were regular visitors to the island.
A car is required otherwise you have to walk up a hill with your shopping. But being at the top of a hill gives you great sea views. The neighbours are wonderful - very friendly.
If you like roosters, chickens, parrots, fire flies, monkeys and more then you will love this place, as they all visit the garden. We loved them all !
The location is great for those who want to visit the West Coast and the South Coast as it is about a 20/30 mins drive to the South coast and the same up to Speightstown on the West Coast, less to Holetown and just a 5/10 min drive to the Cliff/ Sandy Lane.
On the days you want to use the bus (which are great fun and currently just $3.5 BDS pp anywhere )- they are plentiful at the bottom of the hill / the main road (5 mins walk).
Jordans supermarket is just round the corner - great staff and variety/prices but we found the shuttle service unreliable.
We used the local Italian Il Tempio as our 'local' and watched many a beautiful sunset there - enjoying happy hour 4pm till 6/7pm. But there are other places a short drive or a medium walk away inc. Wendy's sports bar and La Cabane.
We all felt it was good value for money and we would stay here again.

"It was everything that we expected & then some"
Hummingbird House’ was everything that we expected and then some. Jackie met us with a big warm welcome and a much appreciated Banks beer. She was very attentive and answered all of our questions. Your home was well equipped with everything one would need on holiday. Every small detail was taken care of. We so enjoyed our daily meals dining ‘ al fresco ‘ and cooking up a storm in the lovely kitchen. We managed to cook fish almost every day and highly recommend the Paynes Bay fish market for purchasing freshly caught fish. Melissa there is a gem and can filet fish expertly! Do see her next time you’re there. You won’t regret it.
The swimming pool was greatly appreciated after a day out touring around and for our morning coffee. The yard was lovely and we all loved the chickens coming round for their daily strut. Their morning wake up call was a delight! The house was bright and airy and always had a breeze flowing through so a/c was not necessary in the common area. It was needed at night for sleeping though. It was handy having a washing machine there and the clothesline for drying bathing suits.
Our family of five found the house very spacious and comfortable. The bedrooms had plenty of hangers in the closets and towels were plentiful. Linda, the house cleaner did a fab job of washing and changing the bed linens. The grounds keeper and pool man did a great job as well.
We would definitely recommend your property to friends or family wishing to spend some time in beautiful Barbados. Everything was superb and can’t fault it for anything. Thank you again Neil for sharing your lovely property with our family.

Treat to come home to or spend a lazy day poolside
# 14 Hummingbird Lane in Prospect was the perfect location for us to experience the beautiful West Coast of Barbados while spending time with the locals - check out Wendy’s Sports Bar for an inexpensive and authentic experience or La Cabane for an excellent dinner or sunset cocktail in a stunning beach side location (Batts Rock) The villa met and exceeded our expectations - It was an easy 5 to 10 minute walk to access the beaches or buses from right at the bottom of the hill - the beaches are quiet but with just the right amount of activity - we snorkeled with the turtles, took a paddle board lesson and lounged under the palm trees. There’s lots to do locally but we also took advantage of the many activities Barbados has to offer - Oistin’s Friday night fish fry - catamaran trips (2 with El Tigre) local bus trips to check out St Lawrence Gap to the south and Holetown to the North.
The villa was a treat to come home to or to spend a lazy day poolside - We were six adults who appreciated the 3 bed/3 bath set up - We found there was lots of room to sit poolside, either sun or shade, the kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep - fresh fish from the Payne’s Bay fish market - Having Jordan’s supermarket close by meant we could face the climb up the hill with a few groceries at a time - We pushed ourselves to walk it ( it’s not really that bad) William, a local taxi driver and guide gave us a memorable tour of the Island; well worth it ! The covered patio gave us good views of the many monkeys who were our morning visitors and the hummingbirds who darted freely about the yard. We were lucky enough to spot a green parrot and our friends happened upon a turtle release early one morning on the beach at Fitts Village.
The staff were great - Jackie meeting us on arrival, Linda the cleaner coming in to change beds and clean and the gardener/pool person who came early in the morning. We would definitely recommend the villa and will return !

The villa is fabulous
"Our party of 4 adults stayed at Hummingbird House for 11 nights in January 2019. The villa is fabulous and very spacious internally, with one bedroom on the ground floor and two further bedrooms upstairs, with air conditioning / ceiling fans throughout. It also has a really lovely large garden area complete with sun loungers / table and chairs etc, which the house wi-fi works fine in: including its own swimming pool; children's play area and gas barbecue. The villa is ideally situated for visiting Barbados' beautiful west coast beeches and exclusive restaurants.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Jackie who was most helpful having patiently waited for us to arrive late in the evening. After a long journey from the UK and arriving on a Sunday night preceding a bank holiday, we were extremely grateful to her for having purchased all of the provisions that we had requested prior to our trip. Jackie was also very knowledgeable about the local area and kindly kept in touch with us during our stay to ensure we were having a great time and wanted for nothing.
During our stay we also saw the pool attendant on a number of occasions who kept the pool very clean; the gardener who kept the garden looking very nice; and Linda who came halfway through our stay to do a full house clean.
In summary, I would say this is a fabulous property and would thoroughly recommend to anyone who is looking to stay in the area to consider it. We simply could not fault it and it afforded us the significant advantage over a hotel of eating in on a few occasions rather than continuously eating out, the latter of which can be expensive on the west coast. If we ourselves return to Barbados in the future, we would be delighted to stay at this villa once again."

Would definitely stay at Hummingbird again!!
We have just had a fantastic holiday and the villa was absolutely perfect. If we returned to Barbados we would definitely look at staying at Hummingbird again. The location was very quiet and peaceful with lovely sea views. The pool was great as were the sun beds with all beach/pool towels provided. The use of WIFI was also brilliant and kept the teenagers occupied as they don’t go anywhere without their phone. Plenty of cooking facilities and cutlery if we decided to eat in. Overall an excellent holiday villa with everything we needed. Thanks for everything Claire, Craig and Family

Beautiful location in Barbados
Hi Neil Hummingbird Villa provided us with a beautiful location in Barbados! This home was very clean and well equipped. The gardens were lush and inviting and we enjoyed the veranda every night. The pool was wonderful and always kept clean. The perimeter of the yard a mixture of bougainvillea and palms provided privacy for the pool area. Much to the delight of our grand children the Monkeys came to visit often and the roosters nearby put on a show daily. The garden also had a play area for the children. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The laundry was very handy also. 3 full bathrooms so every room enjoys it’s own bathroom. We previously rented on the beach - It was twice the price, half the size, and the noise from the ocean highway traffic created quite a racket Hummingbird is located on a dead-end street - no traffic and no noise - wonderful The Villa support staff were very friendly and helpful and Jackie was there to greet us upon our arrival. Jackie also kept in contact to ensure everything was going smoothly. Conveniently located close to the beach (10 minute walk or 2 minute drive and easy free parking) and Jordan’s supermarket. The Villa is close to Bridgetown and to Holetown. Local buses are on the same road as the beach and Jordan's. Many good restaurants within a couple of miles at most. Highly recommended and we will be returning. Highest regards, Michael & Edith London, Ontario. Canada

It was a very lovely stay. The Villa is beautifu.
The place is well maintained and the people who take care of the Villa, from the owner, to the Jackie, the manager, and Linda, the cleaning lady, the gardner... everyone we've dealt with were amazingly helpful, welcoming and altogether wonderful. Great place!

Superb family house in a lovely location with everything you need.
We were welcomed to the house by Jackie who kept in touch during our stay to confirm that everything was ok. We were a family if 6, 4 adults and 2 children and were really short of nothing with a car seat and stairgate available for use. The garden is lovely and we had visiting hummingbirds, chickens and even the local green monkeys! The pool was well used and regularly cleaned as was the bbq and patio area. Linda the cleaner called twice during our stay and did an excellent job. The gardener was also in evidence tidying and cutting the lawn.
The local area is easily accessible from the house with only a short bus journey to Holetown and beaches a short walk away.
One small complaint is that the crockery could do with updating and certainly we missed a decent set of wine glasses! However this is a minor point and did not detract from a super holiday.

Stayed at this beautiful home for 3 weeks it was exactly as advertised. The owner Neil was fantastic to deal with. The yard was fantastic and the monkeys came everyday and were very friendly. Close to fitts beach and grocery store. Bus service was fantastic just a short walk down the hill. The grill was great cooked all our meals on it. The maid Linda came once a week to clean. Jackie was just a call away if we had any problems all in all fantastic.

Lovely villa in a great location
This is a lovely villa, with great facilities for children, in particular infants. We just got back from a two week stay here with the grandparents. There is a travel cot and high chair at the villa which makes life a lot easier as well as a stair gate, which we used on the veranda to stop our 18 month old from being able to get out into the garden.
Neil, I hadn't realised how many toys you had here. Which again are great for children. There are lovely views from the garden and the kitchen facilities are wonderful. The blender was particularly useful for pina coladas! The kitchen scales meant we could make a birthday cake for my mother in law.
Jourdan's supermarket is just down the road and has a good range of products and there is another supermarket at Sunset Crest.
For great cocktails, head to Zaccios down by Sunset Crest, they are half price between 4 and 6. It is a great places to watch the sun come down!
Linda, the maid was lovely and really helpful.
It was also great to have the beach towels there and the laundry facilities were wonderful, especially with having a little one there.
Also there are extension leads there which mean that you don't need to take plug adaptors with you for your electrical items.
Roti Den, just down the road towards Holetown is well worth a visit, Rotis are around £4 and are huge! I would recommend the chicken and potato ones, but they have different meats and also do vegetarian ones.
Best of Barbados at the Chattel village in Holetown is worth a visit for souveniers, they have some lovely prints of the island.
There is an ice cream van which comes around the neighbourhood, they sell Bico ice cream (think along the lines of Haagen Daas or Ben and Jerry's), which is lovely, Coconut, Maple Almond and Chocolate were well liked by the group!
All in all, great villa, wonderful location, there is a beach at the bottom of the hill and Linda is wonderful, I would fully recommend staying here.

LOVED IT!!
We spent almost 3 weeks at this beautiful villa and loved every second! It comfortably accommodates 6 people both inside and out with loads of space and everything you need for the perfect holiday. Both the villa and the pool were cleaned regularly throughout our stay and the towels and sheets washed and changed very frequently! It is about 5-10 minutes walk to beautiful Fitts Beach and although the hill up to the villa is quite steep it is good exercise for walking off those rum punches! Also means the villa affords lovely sea views. It was lovely to sit outside in the evening (which is under shelter if it rains - which it hardly did for us!) and use the gas barbecue and overlook the lit pool. No need to go out and visit expensive restaurants! Garden big enough for our boys to play in (aged 8 & 9) - to kick a ball around, etc. while we lazed on the sunbeds by the pool (may just suggest a couple more cushions for the sunbeds if the villa is full). Really easy to travel up and down the coast on the local buses which you can pick up at the bottom of the hill. We all had a lovely time and hope to return one day when money allows!! Thank you!! July 2009 Summer Holiday
This was our third visit to Barbados but the first time we had booked a villa and we were not disappointed. The villa was accurately described and was very spacious and well maintained. The maid visited a couple of times a week and ensured everything was spotless when she left.
The pool area and garden was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed chilling with a cool beer - just perfect. You can see the Carribean sea from the villa which is at the bottom of the hill - climbing back up the hill is the only slight drawback as there is a very steep incline in the middle.
Public transport easily accessible at the bottom of the hill, supermarket within walking distance (recommend bulk purchase and get the supermarket shuttle bus back to the villa as this saves having to struggle up the hill).
Went into Bridgetown and Holetown a few times, island tour and swimming with the turtles - just brilliant. We also seen the moneys near the villa on one occasion (typical though we didn't have our camera).
We decided not to hire a car and managed to get around the island reasonably well, however if someone in the party has walking difficulties or if you have children you may find it beneficial to hire a car, or of course use the local taxi service.
Our ideal holiday is very laid back and relaxing rather than clubbing. Lots of things to do within reasonable travelling distance but we didn't participate in a lot of these activities as we were more than happy chilling in the villa.
Felt very, very relaxed after our holiday - it was one of the few places where we could have enjoyed staying for another week.

holiday of a lifetime
We have spent just over 2 weeks at this villa and it is superb. The facilities includung the pool are excellent and it was well used. The beach towels and shower towels left are an excellent idea. The location is really good apart from the hill up to the house but it walked off the lovely meals we had in holetown- elbow room is good for a fun night cooking your own food on lava stones - surfside and zacchios and ragamuffins are all reasonably priced. A trip to swim with the turtles is a must. We went with a local guy Roddy (number in vistors book) he was fantastic and took just us and went into the water with us to take underwater photos. He also took us on 2 fishing trips - tuna; makeral and baracuda were caught and cooked on bbq. Had a car for 3 days and was lovely to see around the island. Friday night at oistins is fantastic and the local buses(yellow ones) are so much fun and only 50p a journey anywhere. Fantastic holiday was had - weather glorious - villa superb- beaches to dream of and friendly people. Will be back!!!

An enjoyable stay.
An enjoyable stay at Hummingbird Lane was had by the party of 4 adults. House and gardens were as described and the view was spectacular. The hill up to the house was rather tiring especially in the heat, therefore I would recommend hiring a car. However, we used the services of William the local taxi driver who was friendly and accommodating, he made our stay! The local beaches were clean and never busy. Boat trip to see the turtles and snorkeling was a highlight together with the weekly fish-fry at Oistons. I would visit this villa again and would certainly recomend it for its get-away-from-it-all character, away from the main tourist areas.

Great Holiday in Barbados
We really enjoyed staying in your villa in Barbados. It was jut the right size and the pool was a huge hit with the kids. The location was also perfect for our needs and exploring the island. We found Jackie (manager) and Linda (Cleaner) very efficient and although we didn’t manage to get hold of your babysitter, Jackie recommended another lady called Glendeen, who was lovely.
I have rented a number of villas for various holidays in the past and we found yours the best with regard to management. The advice I got from you was great and it was lovely to be able to arrive at the villa with groceries in the fridge and basic household provisions such as laundry powder and washing up liquid provided. Its the little things that make life that bit easier when you have arrived dazed and confused off a flight.
The villa was great for our two young children (aged 2 1/2 and 1 yr). We felt safe having them play in the house and in the garden. The house was well maintained and we were able to arrange for the cleaner to come a couple of extra times so we didn't have clean up.
We felt the villa was a good price, which is also important in these credit crunch times. I would certainly recommend the villa to others.
We tried a number of restaurants for lunch and dinnrer. Would recommend the Tides restaurant ( v expensive though) or Il Tempio for an evening meal - has some reasonably priced options on the menu. For a blow out lunch would definitely recommend the Lone Star. We took the kids there and the staff were great even though we made a bit of a mess - the food was excellent. We liked the local food at Marshalls too.

Wonderful home, very child friendly
We stayed at this property with four adults and two children. The home was large enough so that we didn't feel on top of each other. As we were there in Sept/Oct, it was very hot and humid. The air conditioning in the bedrooms made sleep possible and comfortable. The furnishings and beds were very nice, and it was especially helpful to have a washer/dryer for all the laundry children produce. The pool and play-set was lovely for the kids during the day when we were home and the adults enjoyed the pool after dark to cool off. As we did not rent a car, we were pleased that the home was well-situated to a couple of beaches and there was frequent and reliable public transportation on the main road. There is also a grocery store within a 5-10 minute walk. If we wanted to go somewhere further, William, a taxi driver down the road, was extremely nice and helpful. All-in-all, we had a wonderful experience and would stay there again. Now if someone could do something about the mozzies...
