Lindores House est situé dans la belle retraite côtière d'Alnmouth dans le Northumberland. À seulement deux minutes à pied de la maison des fabuleuses plages préservées et de l'estuaire. Alnmouth est calme et paisible avec une atmosphère de village extrêmement sympathique. Entièrement conçue selon un standard luxueux, la maison est à la fois confortable et extrêmement confortable répondant à tous vos besoins de détente de vacances. La maison bénéficie d'un grand espace intérieur, réparti sur 3 étages, parfait pour les familles pour des vacances ensemble dans un confort luxueux! Le rez-de-chaussée comprend, salon, salle à manger, cuisine, buanderie et vestiaire. Il y a 3 chambres doubles au premier étage, une avec une salle de bains et une salle de bains familiale supplémentaire à cet étage. 2 autres chambres se trouvent au dernier étage, elles peuvent être configurées en doubles ou en jumeaux, et il y a une autre salle de bains à cet étage. Un lit pliant supplémentaire peut être fourni dans l'une des chambres pour accueillir un 11ème invité. Donc avec 5 chambres et 3 salles de bain vous avez beaucoup de place pour tout le monde! Il y a un barbecue et des sièges à l'extérieur pour les repas d'été en plein air. La maison est très adaptée aux enfants et équipée de la plupart des choses dont vous pourriez avoir besoin. Great house in a beautiful location. Minutes from the beach and village with a lovely grocers, gift shop and places to eat. Lots to do in nearby areas too. Would recommend!

The property was in a lovely location and a great size for our family,5 adults and 4 teenagers.
We had problems with hot water from day 1 to day 4.There was no hot water on the top floor and it was intermittent in the other 2 bathrooms. The plumber that came,said he had altered something in the boiler but there was still no hot water on the top floor.One of the beds collapsed on day 4 and the handyman that came to repair it checked an upstairs boiler that the plumber had never looked at... he obviously didn't know it was there !! We finally had hot water in all the 3 bathrooms for the last few days....

Lindores is a beautiful house and provided everything we needed for our family holiday. The level of communication and assistance both before and during our stay was impeccable. We all had a wonderful time, and hope to be able to return again in future.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Alnmouth and surrounding areas. House was an excellent, spacious and comfortable base for the whole family and partners.

We wanted a family holiday with ages ranging from 8 to 75.
We felt that the description of the property undersold the size and facilities of the accommodation. We appreciated the large sitting room, and the large dining room for family meals The very well equipped kitchen made catering easy. Large fluffy towels were great and showers were always hot and the water pressure high.
Double bedrooms varied a lot in size but all 4 children were delighted to have the top floor and their own bathroom.
We used the house as a walking and exploring base with the beaches and sea being both a huge playground and a barbecue venue.
Overall a great house in a great location that our family enjoyed.

A few niggles water cold after use by others in shower or bath. Not enough power in the cooker.Place mats shabby and in need of replacement . Outdoor yard not big enough. More cushions needed for out door furniture and lounge sofas tired and not suitable for some of our party. Disappointed with the welcoming gift left as we had 8 adults staying not 2 as the glasses left suggested

This was an excellent property, ideally placed for the beach and the village where everything is pet friendly, we have had a great weekend made all the better by the comfort of the house

A lovely stay in large house, not far from beautiful beach with great surrounding countryside.
As it was winter when we stayed, the house was freezing on arrival, but did heat up by the next day. Maybe heating could be on prior to arrival?

Lovely, roomy and comfortable.
Excellent facilities and very well and generously equipped kitchen.
Had some lovely walks on the beach and Alnmouth is a very pretty village. Hope and Anchor very welcoming and tolerant of dog and small children.
Definitely suitable for families. Can imagine small front and back gardens with tables and chairs works well in the summer. We had a successful BBQ on 21st!

The holiday was booked for 6 adults, 3 youngsters between 4 and 9 and 1 infant, oh and 2 dogs.
The house is a large 3 storey terraced building on a quiet street with views of the estuary. The living room with its 3 large sofas and large tv very comfortable and this leads into a large dinning room which was easily large enough for us all.
The kitchen was smaller than expected and during our stay, even though we made agents aware, we only had 1 oven working.
The rest of the house worked well with large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
On our arrival late on Friday evening, there was no hot water, and after a couple of phone calls an engineer was sent over Saturday morning to rectify.
The on street parking was fine, just ensure you keep the parking permits in the cars over night!
Alnmouth town is real gem, with some good independent shops, pubs and restaurants. The beach is long and even though there is car park, very quiet. If you play golf, bring your clubs and play the 2nd oldest course in England.
There are lots of things to do in the area, with some great castles, i.e, Alnwick with its links with Harry Potter, beaches and other fishing villages to visit.
Overall a great holiday, and good value.

Lovely place for a family
The house was perfect for our multi-generation family vacation. The location was great with the easy walk to the beach. Access to Alnwick made getting supplies easy with the ability to get a few quick things in town. The parking on the bank holiday weekend was a bit tricky but the rest of the week was no problem. Beds were all comfortable and clean. There was occasionally a bit of noise from the street during the day but the night was incredibly quite. Would stay there again if back in the area.

Good location for children
The property is adequate rather than ‘luxury’. Good location for access to the beach. Some arrangements unnecessarily complicated by differences in information from VRBO and proprietor., e.g. VRBO states arrival details will be posted to my account in VRBO website so I repeatedly looked for them there, while proprietor sent them directly with a notification that I didn’t see on my receipt for final payment - it was easy to overlook, particularly when previously prompted to look elsewhere. Because the arrival details were sent with a commercial email address they got lost with 3000 other emails in the gmail ‘promotions’ folder. In addition, one set of instructions gave a check-out time of 9.30 while another stated 10.00. In either case, this is too early, especially given that subsequent guests cannot enter until 5.00. In most other cottages I have stayed in, departure time is 11.00 which is much more acceptable. Other than minor frustrations like this, the stay was satisfactory overall.

Our holiday at Lindores Alnmouth
Superb holiday set in the most idyllic location.. perfect for a seaside holiday with children .. house is very comfortable and well equipped.. the only draw back would be the parking as inevitability we had more than 2 cars using the permits .. that aside we would definitely come back!

Deserved 4 star rating.
This turned out better than we expected. This is a good sized house that caters well for groups up to 10. Just a couple of virtually traffic free minutes to the beach and street parking that never let us down, though not necessarily close to the house. The house was well stocked with cutlery and crockery and the whole experience was a very comfortable and satisfactory experience. Next year could be Alnmouth too.

A perfect family staycation right on the beach
We all thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this stay; the beds were comfy, the kitchen was very well equipped, the sofas comfy and the decor fresh and light. We all agreed we'd be coming back and wished our stay was longer! A really wonderful stay, thank you!

Beautiful big house
Really lovely house, perfect size for us. We stayed here as a group of adults and found the rooms a good size. The kitchen is well equipt but we found it could have done with a deep clean as some of the drawers and cupboards were a bit grubby.

Great location
Nice property in a great location, good size for our group (10) The only problem was with "hot water" this was mentioned in the visitors book by a previous occupant. There are three bathrooms in the property but only one had hot water to the bath and the bathroom on the top floor had no hot water in any tap. The only hot water in the on suit was through the shower. At nearly £400 a night you expect hot water out of every tap.. Shame, it is a lovely place to stay though.

Family stay at Lindores in May
We were 6 adults and 3 children. The accommodation was ideal for our combination, apart fom one double bedroom being a little small. The ability to open the doors between the dining and sitting rooms was nice. It was cosy even though the weather was a little cool for the time of year. Kitchen and bathroom facilities were good. The area was ideal for our group. The 7, 8 and 9 years olds enjoyed Alnwick Castle and Gardens, and a trip to the beach. There are a number of pubs for eating out in the village within easy walking distance. A trip to Craster provided some lovely smoked fish for a celebratory meal starter at home. A good venue for a family get together.

Spacious, comfortable, great location.
A lovely old stone built terraced building in the lovely seaside village of Alnmouth.
The property is spacious and comfortable and well equipped with a small patio to the back of the property with seating area and BBQ.
It is in a great location just minutes away from the beach and the estuary of the river Aln. A great area for walking, bird watching or just relaxing on the beach.
The village itself is very quaint with good pubs and eateries and some local shops. The village is quiet but the can get quite busy in the evening so worth booking a table somewhere if you plan to eat.
There's plenty to explore in Northumberland and on the coast and Newcastle is only 30 minutes away on the train.
We had a great time here for a family get together and highly recommend Lindores for a holiday stay in Northumberland.

Lovely large house close to the beach
Spacious house close to all amenities and the beach in this lovely village. Photos were true to the reality. Small patio style garden lacked a table large enough for 10 which would be necessary for a bbq in good weather.

Nice location but a grubby feel to the house.
We have used owners direct in several parts of the world always been impressed This time however whilst the house was in a lovely location we found that the house was not as clean as expected, e.g carpets in bedroom did not appear to have been swept and were in fact quite grubby. Two sets of ceiling lights did not work at all, the refrigerator was grubby and the dirt at the bottom of the unit told us it was quite some time since it had been cleaned. Several areas had paint peeling off the walls, the kitchen units were in need of a clean and a lick of paint. All in all we were disappointed with the general cleanliness and decorative condition of the house

Glorious Christmas 2016 in Lindores
We rented this specific property because of its size, location and overall quality - in order to have a special family Christmas in God's own country a well kept secret! We travelled from Dallas, Texas and were joined by our children from other parts of the US. We wanted to be close enough to immediate family in Newcastle. We were not disappointed! Firstly, the house is exceptionally well presented - it is both functional and comfortable. The location is a special one for us (grew up in Newcastle and visited Alnmouth as kids for a treat) and it should be special for anyone visiting for the first time or returning for the umptienth time. The Northumbrian Coast is both beautiful and accessible. So much on the door step (literally). So much within a short drive. The house is equipped to support 10 people adequately (actually - more than adequately). If we are lucky enough to get to visit Alnmouth again - this would be our first choice and actually, the house alone might entice us to come back. The village continues to prosper and offered great facilities (pubs, restuarants and now a great Deli). Alnwick has everything a city dweller would need to make a vacation comfortable, without actually being in a city! I cannot repmmend this property enough. Thanks you for sharing it with us.

Perfect. Just as descibed. We will be back!
This was a return visit for the family as we enjoyed last year so much. The house is beautiful and very well equipped. Plenty of room for a large family. Excellent customer service; the owner informing us of the restriction in Alnwick Castle before we arrived so we could taylor our schedule around it. The pubs in Alnmouth are very friendly; the food in The Sun and Red Lion is wonderful and the quiz great fun. The house is literally 2 mins from the beach and is spectacular. We watched the sunrise and the sunset over the water, played games and had bar-b-ques. We also went to Kielder Observatory, Edinburgh, hired bikes to ride the coastal paths and river kayaked from Warkworth. We can thoroughly recommend all of these things. Mike from Adventure Northumberland river Kayaking was great. We had an excellent time playing games in the water, traversing the weir and laughing all the way - we will definitely repeat this. Do not forget Alwick and Barter books, plus the food festival was also on the weekend we arrived. Lindores is a perfect base in a wonderful area. Thoroughly recommended - we will be back as there is so much more to see.

Fabulous Family Home
Lindores is perfect for a large group or family break. The house is very large and all bedrooms are comfortable and roomy.
I booked it specifically for my sister in law to use for her wedding the next day at Alnwick Gardens, we were kindly allowed to check in super early so she could have a stress free day beforehand. The master suite was ideal for her to get ready in with lots of room for all the necessary pampering! All the neighbours were out in force taking pictures as she left.
The whole house is lovely and top of the range, a large kitchen which is equipped with everything you could need, a super comfy lounge with a wood burner, 2 boilers so no queuing for showers/baths even with a house full. Perfect position just one street back from the beach. Alnmouth is a lovely small seaside village, with a few good pubs and eating places, but best of all an amazing long wide beach which even in high season is never too busy. The whole area is delightful, not busy, fabulous beaches, the most friendly people you can imagine, great food and drink to be had and stunning scenery in every direction. I would recommend Lindores to anyone, it was just perfect for us all. 5 stars!!!

Lindores self catering - Alnmouth,Northumberland
Ideal family property,well maintained and equipped just moments from the stunning estuary and fantastic beach.Our party was six adults and two children (aged three and four) and the great range of toys,books and games were well liked by the children,especially on one day when it poured with rain! The house is spacious and comfortably furnished and provided an ideal base for a family holiday and the welcome pack of wine,treats and essentials was a nice touch.

Weekend with friends
5 couples rented Lindores for a long weekend. The house is comfortable, warm, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is very well-equipped. A perfect location to enjoy the beach and coastal walks.

Super Place
Great place to stay. Everything as advertised, clean and with good customer service. Plenty of room for six adults, four children and a dog. On the beach within minutes of closing the front door. Convenient for lots of castles, Bamburgh, Warkworth, Alnwick, as well as Druridge Bay Country Park and beach. The beach at Alnmouth was great for the grandchildren. Lots of sandcastle building and kite flying. Didn't eat out but The Red Lion was a nice place for an evening drink. Booked for next year while we were there. Had everything we needed for a half term Halloween break.
