Great city location! We are an active family so the waking & exploring the cobble streets suited us perfect. We preferred not to drive the narrow lanes of the old town so it was a great location to walk from (approximately 10 minutes). Renting from Carlos was easy. Excellent communication. Rental unit is as described. Simple, clean, open layout that is perfect for family or couple group. It was perfect location to spend time both walking in old city & travelling the rest of the island by car. Easy access to grocery, restaurants & cafes. The unit had all the basics that we needed. A late February destination may not be exactly what people would consider but we loved how easy it was to enjoy the island sights without crowds. Definitely need layers but we averaged 16 degrees with sun & the odd rain shower. Thank you Carlos for offering your home. We loved your Island & how welcoming everyone was. Jennifer & family.

Great trip - great location. We rented a car so getting around the island from this location was super easy and convenient. Major grocery store just 4 minutes away. Parking was never an issue. The apartment itself was exactly as advertised- clean, spacious, convenient. And carlos shared great locations close to the apt.

It was my first time in São Miguel and Carlos was a really helpful, responsive and kind host! Great for big groups and a great location for getting around the island.

If you're looking for a place to stay in the city and accommodate your family with space and privacy, this apartment will be just that. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, perfect location near bakeries, cafes, restaurants and 10 min walk to the heart of Ponta Delgada. Plenty of parking and safe to walk around at night. Carlos was tentative to my requests and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

A casa é extraordinária, é muito espaçosa, têm todas as condições para se poder fazer as refeições em casa, lavar e secar a roupa, fica muito bem localizada perto do centro mas numa zona muito sossegada. A garagem é uma mais valia importante. Têm muita luz natural e uma ótima vista.

Imóvel em excelentes condições, tudo exatamente igual às fotos. Ideal para férias em família, próximo do centro, muito bem localizado. O Sr. Carlos Resendes é um excelente anfitrião, sempre disponível, forneceu excelentes indicações de sítios a visitar e restaurantes, muito simpático, foi incansável com todos os promenores.

This apartment was everything we were looking for: excellent location, near incredible market (meat, fish, vegetable, fruits and cheese), walking distance to town and restaurants, excellent welcome from Carlos with a personal pickup from the airport and drop off, great apartment with full kitchen and laundry room. Carlos promptly answered all the questions we had, including those about recycling. Future renters should know all the mattresses are hard. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

The advertisement was accurate. The apartment was spacious with a sea view and quiet. There was lots of parking and downtown was only a 10 to 15 minute comfortable walk. Although there was no air-conditioning it was more than comfortable with the fans. The was an excellent bakery within 200 metres and a grocery store within 100 metres. Carlos our host was extremely helpful and accommodating. He transferred us to the airport and back. He made excellent suggestions for restaurants and put us in contact with a car rental agency that was extremely reasonable compared to quotes we had obtained through our own research. The apartment had all the amenities except a dryer. But air drying is the Azorean way. Overall excellent.

Enjoyed the property. Walking distance to most areas including the marina. Carlos picked us up at the airport and dropped off our bags in a storage area until our room was ready. He then dropped us off at the marina. Our flight landed at 730am from the US. The only thing I would suggest is reserving the apartment the day before if you are coming in from an overnight flight. We were so exhausted when we got there and had a hard time staying awake until the room was ready. But once we got into the apartment, all was well. Its a great space for families. Had 3 bedrooms and a nice living and kitchen area. There was some construction going on outside during the day across the street but that didn’t bother us since we were not around during the day. The bed is a bit hard but when you are tired, it doesn’t matter. Also, it can get pretty hot and humid even with fans going but the breeze did help some while we were there. Great pastry place walking distance and grocery store is close by. The location was perfect.

This place was Amazing!! Carlos Picked is up at the airport and had a few local snacks waiting for us when we arrived. He gave us lots of information on the best sites to see! We loved our stay and can’t wait to come Back!!!

We had a great stay at this apartment. Carlos was very helpful before and during our stay. He gave us great recommendations for things to do around the island that were very helpful. We have 2 young children and we felt very comfortable with them in the apartment.

Estivemos 5 noites neste fantástico apartamento. O apartamento encontra-se em ótimo estado e como indicado nas fotos. É muito espaçoso e com os utensílios todos necessários. O Sr Carlos foi um ótimo anfitreão, apresentado-se sempre disponível, simpático, amigável e deu ótimos conselhos para a viagem! Nada de menos positivo a indicar... Tudo fantástico!

Apartamento bem situado e perto do centro de Ponta Delgada, bem equipado e muito espaçoso, ótimo para ferias com amigos ou família. Fomos recebidos de uma forma excelente pelo Sr. Carlos ao qual só temos de agradecer.

schöne große Wohnung , Vermieter sehr freundlich, gegenüber der Wohnung ist die Haltestelle für den Minibus für 0,50 Cent pro Fahrt durch die Stadt , sehr gut für den Fall das es Probleme mit dem laufen gibt oder die Busverbindung in einen anderen Ort schnell erreicht werden muss. Ansonsten ist alles fussläufig schnell erreichbar. Was nicht so schön ist das alles was Vormieter im Badezimmerschrank ( oder Küchenschrank) hinterlassen nicht weggeräumt wird, so sammeln sich kunterbunte Reste von Shampoo, Zahnpasta usw. an.

Ficámos muito satisfeitos com a nossa estadia. Tudo correu muito bem. Recomendamos!

Appartement spacieux ,lumineux et très bien situé pour visiter l'île. Très bon accueil .Mr Carlos nous a envoyé des informations très utiles avant notre arrivée. Nous avons apprécié le panier de produits locaux à notre arrivée ( ananas, bolos levados,thé). S.Miguel c'est une petite merveille !

O apartamento está muito bem localizado, é moderno, e está bem equipado. É exatamente como descrito na fotografia. O proprietário é prestativo, e comunica com rapidez. Será um local a repetir caso volte aos Açores. Recomendo.

My husband and I stayed at this fantastic apartment for 3 nights (September 28 through October 1 in 2016) and we would not hesitate to book it again! We cannot thank the owner, Carlos, enough! This review is a little long, but I want to make sure I am being thorough and helpful. We know a 3 bedroom & 2 bathroom apt is a lot of space for 2 people, but, from my searching, this rental seemed to be a way better deal than some of the hotels and other rentals in the area. (I hope this doesn't mean Carlos will raise his price, but he has every right to!) Plus, it was great that my husband and I could each have one full bathroom to use =0) Carlos was extremely easy to deal with, easy to contact with very fast responses, helped with booking a rental car, and sent a great list of recommendations. We super appreciated him driving us to/from the airport. He was very hospitable, showed us through the apartment, and even placed some local products for us to try in the kitchen (I'm a huge fan of São Jorge cheese!). The in-apt washer was very convenient for us especially since we only had an 8kg allowance for our luggage! The apartment's location is very convenient as it is quiet (so we never felt disturbed) yet still walkable to food options, supermarkets, and the downtown marina area (~10 min walking). We never had issues finding a parking spot near the apartment. Below are some places near the apt we enjoyed: *Sol Mar supermaket - off R. de São Gonçalo & near roundabout - we always drove here, but it's only an 8 min walk from the apartment. Prices are very reasonable, very huge supermarket with almost everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed stocking up on some food items here and bought some gifts to bring back home. *Megasabor - a bakery practically next door to the apartment *Taberna Açor (15 min walk from apt)- great petiscos (tapas)! *Nut' (15 min walk from apt)- interesting gelato concept place Below are some places on the island we really enjoyed: *Caldeira Velha *Bar Caloura - great fish and great view while dining *Poça da Dona Beija - for bathing in hot springs *Miradouro de Santa Iria - heard this is great to watch sunset, but our view was blocked by fog *Miradouro Lagoa do Canário *Ferraria - though, the water was not as warm as I've read on the internet Huge thank you, Carlos, for helping make our first experience on São Miguel great! We hope to return to the island and we highly recommend your apartment!

Everything at the apartment was excellent! Carlos was very acomidating and was able to pick us up and drop us off at the airport, which was excellent. The apartment was very big and spacious and clean! the locations was perfect we were less then a ten min walk in to the city. It was perfect because it was nice a quite for nights that we wanted to relax but then if we wanted to go out we were very close to all the excitement that happens in the city. I would highly recommend staying at Carlos's apartment to anyone spending time in Sao Miguel. Carlos had everything we would need and more!
