What an amazing location! Unbelievable views of the harbor and mountains. Walking distance to some great restaurants. Convinient garage parking. Well stocked kitchen with everything needed for the stay. We had a great time!

This apartment is beautiful, comfortable and well situated to dining and shops of Reykjavik. My family of 4 used this as our home base as we explored the sites of Iceland. Margret was so accommodating and helpful, and we had a faultless stay. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful property, located close to the water. A few blocks from the grocery stores, but not a big deal. Several restaurants on the water front. View was fantastic.

From the moment we were greeted for checkin to the day we left, our stay was wonderful. Margret is an amazing host. The location was ideal for walking to shops, sites and food in downtown Reykjavik. It’s not on the main road, which is great for quiet, but it’s so close to the fun! Best of both worlds. The view from the living room is absolutely gorgeous! And we saw the Aurora right outside that window the first night! We ran down to the water’s edge and to lo the Sun Voyager sculpture to get up close :) Margret is very accommodating-sent us a list of ways to watch the World Cup for the kids, and she allowed us a bit of extra time to leave due to one of our family members’ illness. The only thing I can say is that the satellite didn’t work, but upon asking, Margret explained that. We didn’t miss out, though. If you really need to watch tv, which we really didn’t, we had other options. I’ve never seen such a clean place! Easy in and out, and having parking under the building is so key! I hope we get to come back in the warmer months. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wow - just loved our week stay at this apartment centrally located near the harbor center of Reykjavik. The views of the bay were wonderful, and the easy access to the main shopping streets of Reykjavik so nice. We loved the apartment''s features, great view from the living room, and the kitchen and dining spaces were great. The configuration of the apartment is great for two couples sharing the space as the bedrooms are on the outer sides of the apartment with the bathrooms back to back - gives very good privacy . Was also wonderful to have an in garage parking space for our car rental. The owner was so responsive to all our many questions, and responded quickly. We would happily stay here again - one of the best VRBO rentals we have ever stayed at.

Stunning, modern apt building with everything you could want for a perfect vacation. The view was stunning, location perfect, condo was just as pictured. Very quiet building, safe, secure and comfortable. I will recommend this condo to everyone I know. Lovely hosts, very responsive and helpful. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you very much.

Absolutely exceptional apartment, period!! We arrived from the US and were promptly greeted. The apartment is fabulous- spacious, impeccably clean, great location and more. We quickly realized how valuable on-site, inside parking was in Reykjavik. As we were a family traveling together with a full itinerary, the second bathroom was crucial. Margret was incredibly (above and beyond) helpful in suggesting trips, spots to visit and places to eat. We will absolutely go back to Iceland again and will definitely look to stay in this apartment when we do. I cannot rate the apartment and all of the conveniences that come with it high enough. This is a beautiful, exceptionally well maintained property in a superb location in Reykjavik. The view is outstanding, (it says harbor but more like mountains across the bay). Very lovely to wake up and see view from basically floor to ceiling windows. The condo is up to date with great amenities such as parking, (a big plus as parking in Reykjavik is not easy), microwave, dishwasher, and plenty of serviceware & cookware. The wifi worked great and there is both elevator and stairwell for easy access. Margret & Sindri were wonderful hosts. We had a car issue and Sindri was very accommodating when he could meet us keys and show us the condo. Sindri also gave great recommendations for eating, grocery shopping & pools. The location is excellent with fantastic cute shopping, galleries, and excellent restaurants & gourmet food shops. The condo has ample storage, (way more than any 1-2 week traveler could ever use). The 2 bedrooms are furnished with eco cotton flannel sheets. Pillows were a little smaller than we are accustomed to, but bedding was very warm. Be sure to ask Sindri how to work the clothing washer/dryer. It was not like usual American washer/dryer and took a few tries to get it to dry, (but eventually we figured it out). The condo is quite spacious. It was very nice to have the space after traveling in the country for a week in smaller hotels. Worth the price. Just note - there is a hefty tax on all Icelandic hotels etc. In fact, taxes on all goods and sundries were higher than we anticipated.... as well as food. It was great to go food shopping and prepare our own food. It saved a lot of money from eating out. I would stay here again for sure!

The apartment is equipped with everything we could need. Conveniently located to city points of interest and public transportation, yet very quiet. We loved our stay and would love to visit again!

They met us at midnight and gave us an overview of the area, where everything was in the apartment and how to use the appliances. Great location. Her representative met us at the apartment and thoroughly explained everything. Apartment: exactly as pictured and described. I never found extra blankets/sheets for the sleeper sofa but we didn’t end up using it so it wasn’t a big deal. Plenty of dishes and towels. The apartment is straight out of an IKEA showroom (cute, well proportioned, and minimalistic). The apartment was SPOTLESS and the view was breathtaking. Also, there was no sounds anywhere. Either the construction of this building is incredible or the neighbors are non-existent because we never heard or saw another resident throughout our entire 5 night stay. Wi-Fi only allowed 2 devices at a time but we had a mobile hotspot so it wasn’t a problem. Location: we were able to walk everywhere in Reykjavik from the apartment. It’s not city center but nothing we went to was more than a 15 minute walk. Being on the water and having such a lovely view made the apartment feel even bigger. Things to consider via my personal likes/dislikes (nothing worthy of less than 5 stars though): I couldn’t find any extra pillows or blankets which would have been amazing. Everyone likes different firmness of pillows so being stuck with just 4 pillows for 4 people was kinda rough when they were super soft and feathery. No top sheets or face cloths either (this may be an American thing) but know you’ll be washing your face and body with a big hand towel. Mattresses are FIRM- ladies, if you have implants and are a side/stomach sleeper note that there is not extra pillows for you and you’ll be on your back or hurting ;) Overall: we would definitely recommend staying here. Our preferences as a family were just that, preferences but the booking process, check out process, and our overall stay were delightful. Staying here with 2 kids aged 10 & 11 and my husband we never felt crowded or cramped. The building was secure and quiet and felt very safe. The ease of getting to shopping, restaurants, museums, etc was PERFECT. Thanks for a wonderful trip to Iceland

We stayed 4 nights at the apartment. The photos are accurate. The place is extremely clean and has everything to make your stay comfortable including dish washing liquid, paper towels, even extra toilet paper! It is a very safe/secure building and we felt safe returning home at 1:30 am from a northern lights tour. The views from the living room and den are lovely. The Main Street is an easy 3 block walk and the bus stop #7 for most tour pickups is only a few blocks away; it took us less than 5 minutes to walk there. Very convenient. We've stayed in other vacation rentals in Europe but feel this apartment was by far the cleanist and quietest. Margret responded quickly to all our requests and was exceptionally accommodating to our request to check in early as our flight from the US arrived early in the morning.

Sindri who met us at the condo the morning we arrived explained everything to us very well and we really appreciated getting into the condo the morning we arrived early from the states. This is a huge plus for anyone coming from the states on a early morning flight. Margret's beautiful apartment overlooks the water and is within walking distance to the center of Rekyjavik and places to see such as the beautiful Harpa concert hall. The apartment is spotlessly clean and furnished in a minimalistic, but lovely contemporary style. The pictures are quite accurate. Every utensil and appliance you could possibly need is supplied. We traveled as a family of 4, my husband and I and our 20 something sons. There was plenty of room and privacy for all of us. The layout of the apartment gives one bedroom with a full bathroom right across from it and at the other end of the apartment is the second bedroom with a full bathroom right across. If you are renting a car, this apartment comes with a designated parking space in the underground garage. The building is extremely secure.

We were two couples in Reykjavik for our first time, and we all were more than satisfied with the accommodations at this apartment. With modern appliances including washer/dryer, we were able to feel at home while vacationing. Beds were comfortable, common rooms were spacious and well appointed. We were able to check the weather (even though the weather changes minute by minute) by walking out on the outdoor balcony, we had a lovely view of the water, and were within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants, docks, taverns, and theaters. When (not if) we return, we'd love to stay in the same apartment!

Lovely, modern apartment located not far from the main shopping areas. Great harbor view, quiet neighborhood. The owner's representative was very helpful when we were met at the apartment and he went out of his way to explain where shops and restaurants were (actually walking with us on his way home.....).
