This apartment in Assisi is absolutely lovely! It exceeded our expections for space, location and view. Being farther away from the main squares made this a quiet space but easy to access everything that the beautiful city has to offer. Laura was the perfect host with information on the area, restaurants and attractions andand made it all very easy to enjoy ourselves immensely. We highly recommend this and will definitely return! This was the second time we stayed in this apartment. We really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Many very good restaurants just a few yards away. The view over the housetops from the large patio was great! Highly recommend for staying in Assisi!

We stayed in this apartment in the historic center of Assisi for three nights in May 2022. Laura was extremely helpful in meeting us on the main road and directing us into the tiny city streets to the garage and apartment. She was also very responsive to the few questions we had. The apartment is perfect for two people. A spacious living/dining/kitchen area, large bedroom, ample bathroom with shower (bit of a slow drain). It was chilly while we were there, and the heating system worked like a charm. The kitchen is well-outfitted (although we ate all of our lunches/dinners out). The outdoor terrace, complete with umbrella, was wonderful on the one day it was warm enough to sit outside. We enjoyed all of the local sights of historical and religious significance, all of which are within easy walking distance. Assisi is a beautiful medieval city and well worth a stay of two or three nights. We highly recommend this apartment as your base of operations.

Spacious and bright with large windows. We couldn’t enjoy the lovely terrace in November but imagine it would be wonderful in warmer months. The apartment is rather dated and the WiFi was sometimes slow. Laura was very responsive to address a couple of issues we had. The washing machine is in a room in the garage, not in the apartment, which is on the top floor.

Laura’s beautiful apartment was even better in person than online. So well located in a quiet residential neighborhood WITH a parking garage— a true luxury! From the quality of the bedding to Laura’s warm welcome, La Mansarda is a wonderful place if you are fortunate to be able to go there!

We had a great time staying at this apartment. It provides plenty of room and comfort inside. It has very large windows which let in lots of light and enable amazing views of the Rocca and the San Rufino duomo and bell tower. The large patio was nice to relax on and watch the sunset with a glass of wine. The apartment is very quiet, away from the busy downtown tourist area, but still close enough to several good restaurants. We would love to stay here again.

A perfect location for our two weeks in Assisi. Many interesting sights within short walking distance. We enjoyed coming back in the evening for sunsets from the terrace in this charming and quiet neighborhood near San Rufino. Laura was easy to communicate with and quickly attended to all our requests. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent.

La Mansarda is a spacious, quiet, and lovely apartment with gorgeous views and large terrazza. It has all you need for self-catering, clothes washing, and relaxing. Just a couple minutes’ walk from the bus station and there is a small grocery nearby, with very helpful staff. Laura is a gracious host. And the location is on one of the most beautiful streets in Assisi.

We absolutely loved Assisi. There’s so much to see and so many excellent restaurants. This apartment was located within minutes of the Cathedral and an easy walk from about everything. As evidenced by the pictures there are excellent views from the rooftop patio. We spent an afternoon sunning on the patio and several evenings drinking wine and watching the sunset also from the rooftop. Highly recommended!!!

Assisi was the perfect ending to our 5 week trek through Europe. It offered the peace and space to relax and pray. Laura's apartment found down a peaceful quiet street near the top of Assisi offered a restful place to unwind. The patio became the afternoon haven to share a glass of wine, nap or simply read.

Arriving at this lovely apartment after a long day driving was a wonderful experience. It is nicely decorated and modern with a spacious living room. The balcony is awesome - lots of space and amazing views of the city! The area around the apartment is very nice and quiet with narrow streets, well maintained buildings and beautiful flowers on all the buildings. All of Assisi is within close walking distance. The apartment is up a couple flights of stairs but that was no issue in a hill town like Assisi. There are a couple tight turns to get into the garage but it was not an issue with a smaller vehicle. Laura communicated well, was flexible on arrival time and was very accomodating on answering questions on the clothes washer. We highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Assisi!

This is my husband's and my third trip to Asissi, but the first trip that we spent a few nights. Assisi is a different place during the nightime hours: fewer tourists and beautifully lit up cathedrals and monuments. You get more in touch with what it is like to be a resident there. We picked a well situated attic apartment, La Mansarda with an amazing terrace, featuring panoramic views of the rooftops across the town. The master bedroom windows have great views as well. We were a short walk from the bus station, from the city square, and from some fine restaurants. Our apartment had an open concept design with contemporary furniture and some unique artwork. The kitchen is fully functional with all the necessities for cooking a full meal. Also included was a space in the garage below to park a small vehicle. Laura, our host, was extremely responsive and helpful. It is a great value, especially for the location.

My husband and I stayed at the apartment last week (Oct 2016) and absolutely loved it. It is exactly as pictured, clean, bright, and the deck is amazing. Laura, the owner, is warm, kind, helpful, and promptly responded to all our inquiries. The apartment is a 2 minute walk from the bus stop which was about a 15 minute bus ride from the train station. The apartment is also a 2-3 minute walk from the closest Piazza (S. Ruffino) with shops, food, etc. and a 5 minute walk from the main Piazza del Commune which from there is another 5-10 minutes to the main Basilica of St. Francis (that's if you don't stop along the way in one of the many fabulous art galleries, caffe's or shops). The town is simply beautiful, the Basilica is stunning, and the apartment couldn't have been better to host a wonderful stay in Assisi. It was our favorite stop on the trip.

This apartment is wonderfully light and spacious thanks to the very sizeable deck with views in all directions. At night the Rocca is lit up and is magical and can be seen from the very comfy bed. The apartment will meet all your needs for a wonderful stay. Laura very kindly met me at the station and drove me to the apartment. She is very warm and friendly and on hand if I needed anything - which I didn't. She even took me to the taxi on my last morning after booking it for me because I was worried that my lack of Itslian may cause a problem. The apartment is close to the plaza del Comune which is the central square with restaurants, tourist office and a supermarket. The apartment is quite special and it was lovely for me to enjoy Assisi with far less of a crowd than the last time I was there. Thank you Laura and I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

Beautifully clean, modern, spacious, well equipped apartment, perfectly located from which to explore the beautiful Assisi, yet a quiet location. Large windows with great views over Assisi, and a fantastic outdoor terrace. Would definitely recommend.

This will be another well-deserved five-star rating for this wonderful apartment. The apartment is as described: very spacious, clean and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen, cable TV, and wifi. One side of the apartment consists mostly of windows, which makes the apartment bright and cheery. The bathroom is large with a shower that has an excellent spray and hot water. The apartment has a collection of maps and guidebooks of the area in several languages. There are also a number of books, again in several languages. The apartment is located in a residential section of the historical part of Assisi. The area is quiet, but a short walking distance from the many areas of interest as well as restaurants and shops. The area is very safe and it is obvious that the people who live there care about the area – there are a great number of planters containing flowers and greenery throughout. The highlight of the apartment is the fantastic terrace. It is so spacious and so inviting with comfortable furniture and wonderful views that it quickly became the area we spent the most time when we stayed in. In the morning we would have breakfast outside and in the evening we read or just relaxed in the cool mountain air as we watched the sun set and the lights come on to illuminate the ancient stone fortress Rocca Maggiore. When we arrived at the Assisi train station our host Laura was there to meet us and drive us to the apartment. She was very welcoming and helpful, providing suggestions on what sights to see and what restaurants to go to (she also has excellent taste – our best meals during our vacation were in those restaurants). She also generously drove us to the station when we left because of our worry over the train schedule. If your vacation includes time in Assisi, I wholeheartedly and emphatically recommend this apartment. I cannot wait to go back.

We have stayed in Assisi many times at different accommodations but, having discovered La Mansarda, we wouldn't stay anywhere else again. This is an extremely spacious and well equipped apartment with the added bonus of a wonderful rooftop terrace; outside seating space is rare in Assisi. The location of the apartment is perfect for visiting all the attractions this magical city can offer, is close to some fine restaurants and also convenient for local transport services. We have already booked to return in June. Highly recommended. PS.Lying in bed looking out of the window at the view of La Rocca lit up at night was a real treat!
