This is a beautiful comfortable home with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, lovely expansive gardens and serene views over the local beach and the lake. It was the perfect place for our family gathering. Upstairs living offered a great space to gather and relax. Our host was very helpful. The whole area is so relaxing and we enjoyed walking to the train via the back laneways and shopping in the village. The people in Lierna are extremely friendly and we found the pizza restaurant next door very handy.

Guest bath towels were very small but there were lovely bath robes supplied.

Just like having a home on the shores of Lake Como. The perfect venue for us and our friends. With the living area upstairs looking out over the lake and plenty of space it was the perfect spot for a drink at the end of the day comparing stories. The kitchen area is huge with a big table meaning we never had trouble getting everyone around it. Dishwasher was very welcome. Little pizzeria right next door had great pizzas and wine which we availed ourselves of a couple of nights. Nice little beach right in front of the house. The restaurant over the street out the back of the property was the venue for our memorable final night dinner with fantastic food and an ideal setting. Staff associated with the property were extremely helpful bringing extra towels for us after a bit of a mix up with how many people were going to be staying at the property - a setting I must have missed when doing the booking. All in all a great place. Let me know if it’s ever for sale as our friends and I will pool our resources to buy it! Photo is of the view of the lake from the balcony.

The only thing I would say that is a bit of a negative is public transport from the location. You have to be organised to time your run to trains and ferries which don’t stop in Lierna as often as elsewhere. On the plus side this also means the place is not as overrun by tourists as elsewhere around the lake. The town is really mostly locals, which is nice. If you have your own transport then you needn’t worry about this, however whilst there is plenty of parking at the property, I’ve no idea where you’d park in places like Bellagio. We had bikes for a couple of days which meant getting to Varenna and more frequent ferries was no problem. There is also one shared bathroom between 2 of the bedrooms that is open to one of the bedrooms which means you have to time your run to the shower, but again no big problem if you’re organised. The other bedrooms have their own bathrooms.
