Hands down, our whole family agreed....This place was the BEST Vrbo place we've stayed at. Everything was amazing! The home was decorated so beautifully, but yet relaxing and cozy! Our favorite part were the sun rooms, letting the breeze come in and looking out at the beautiful waterfront backyard. The owners were easy to work with and gave great home instructions. We were sad to leave our vacation and this great home. Would def recommend and love to come back!

Very nice place with quiet views of the water and easy access to golf & downtown. We have stayed there twice and would definitely stay there again. Owners have been very receptive to email communications when needed.

My wife and I highly recommend this property for your next stay! First, the communication with Cindy was excellent. She is personable and responsive. The property is clean and as described. The surrounding area is beautiful. It’s a short drive to New Bern’s downtown area. The river is beautiful and the ocean is less than an hour away. Top notch property!! Thanks again for everything!!

Stayed at the property for a week with my spouse and another couple and we had a great time. Spent most days at the pool or took a ride to the beach, which was about 40 minutes away. The home was spotless and had everything you could need. The town was about 15 minutes away and we enjoyed eating at several fine restaurants. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we were to vacation in the area. Thanks for a fun time.

Our stay at Fairfield Harbour was nice. The home is in a quiet neighborhood. We literally did not see or hear more than 2 people from the surrounding homes the entire time we were there. It was super quiet. The sunroom was a great spot for morning coffee and the screened porch would be nice for cooler evenings, though it was hot and humid each evening that we stayed. Beds were comfortable and the living & dining areas were great for family gatherings. The kitchen was a bit spotty on having the needed utensils but we made it work. Having access to a kayak was nice for exploring the nearby waterways but we didn't have much luck fishing them. Having access to the nearby recreation center was convenient. Fairfield Harbour is a resort neighborhood a bit off the beaten path. The town of New Bern is about a 15 minute drive away. We enjoyed having dinner at Morgan's and MJ's the most and also ate at Savage's and Cow Cafe. All were good. We were not prepared at first for how early everything closes in New Bern so we went in for dinner the first night to find that all the shops close early. This is a good location for a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Our parents didn't have enough space for our family so we rented this fabulous place to give our adult and teenaged kids space to do summer work before going back and forth to their grandparents. We really enjoyed the quiet, clean and comfortable living areas. The lake views and fresh air bike rides were great for bonding. The host supplied the essential needs and took special care to provide strong wifi signals (unlike the grandparent's place). We binged watched Stranger Things on Netflix and thank that host for providing a tool to ensure the safety of our passwords. The pre-stocked cabinets were a pleasant surprise. I forgot a few items (condiments, creamer and butter). The extra blankets, strong water pressure for showers, and updates about local events were also very much appreciated. This was a great visit (our first time) and we would do it again.

Absolutely one of the best VRBO’s that we have stayed. Perfect location, beautiful location, best sun porch and screened in porch. Depending on the weather that day we would switch different times. Beautifully decorated, beds slept good. Cannot wait to return. Very close to new bern also

We had a small family getaway .We couldn't have been happier!!The house is just as listed and we were all able to relax and enjoy our stay.

We have been guests with Cindy and Tom on numerous occasions, always having an enjoyable stay. My mother lives in the same neighborhood, so she loves coming over for dinner. It’s a great home in a beautiful setting on the water with two great porches to enjoy the view from; one heated, one not. Grocery, gas, pizza, shopping all a few minutes away. Downtown New Bern is a short ten minutes away. We’ve been repeat guests so many times, it really feels like a second home when we stay. The home is clean and plentiful with kitchen/bedroom/bath items; and the living area is comfortable. Cindy and Tom are quick in their communication and checkin/out is simple. We, of course, will stay again. Thank you, again for your hospitality, Tom and Cindy!

The house was beautiful and very clean. It was so nice to relax on the screen porch with my morning coffee. We all had a wonderful Raul stay and would stay here again.

This home was a long awaited get-a-way with six of us. We haven't seen our friends in Fairfield Harbor for almost two years. The porches were the perfect place for gathering. Everything was well stocked.

Tom and Cindy were great at offering suggestions of things to do in the area. The home was relaxing, loved the sun porch for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. Restaurants in town were fabulous! Persimmons on the water for lunch and dinner, with wonderful food and service. The house had bikes for us to enjoy and anything else you may need for your getaway. This was the perfect getaway! A great location that allowed for social distancing in a quiet neighborhood on the water with a great kayak opportunity; but also close enough to a cute downtown New Bern with lots of historic homes and great restaurants for a quick getaway. The beach is only ~45 minutes away and I can't recommend enough an afternoon trip to Beaufort and a day trip to the beach and Fort at Fort Macon. Cynthia and Thomas were great hosts. I truly appreciated their flexibility as well as their suggestions that helped us have a great getaway!

This home was amazing! The house looks just like the pictures-well kept, clean, plenty of room for our family of 6, and stunning views. The sun room and screened porch were fabulous and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The kids had a great time using the onsite kayaks. The property owners were easy to work with and super responsive. We can't wait to go back and stay again!

This is an adorable house with many creature-comforts, located in a beautiful, waterfront community. Enjoy morning coffee and a book in the sun room, take a leisurely walk or bike ride (bikes provided), then dine on the screened-in patio. Close enough to grocery and restaurants, but far enough away to feel rural. We'll be back! Very, very appreciative of how communicative the owners were as we prepared for our trip during COVID restrictions.
