Beautiful Getaway - Right on the Lake-Close to Skiing
Magnifiquement restaurée, la maison de 2 chambres (plus le grenier) apporte une vie contemporaine à ce joyau caché à seulement 2 heures de New York. Nous avons vidé la maison en incorporant complètement des équipements modernes comme une toute nouvelle cuisine en acier inoxydable avec des comptoirs en granit, un parquet en bambou et une grande terrasse pour profiter de la vue sur l'étang à quelques pas. Détendez-vous dans le salon en regardant le feu ou la télévision à écran plat 3D ou simplement en regardant par la fenêtre d'image pour voir le poisson sauter dans l'étang juste à l'extérieur de la grande fenêtre d'image. Shmooze dans la cuisine ou à la table de la salle à manger à quelques pas des portes coulissantes vous emmenant sur le pont récemment construit pour dîner en plein air. Descendez le quai à quelques pas de la maison pour nager dans l'étang rafraîchissant ou utilisez notre kayak pour une pagaie tranquille. La maison est située directement sur Robinson Pond; un étang de 100 acres permettant bateaux à moteur électriques, kayaks, canoës, baignade et pêche. La maison est à 30 miles de Tanglewood, près de Jacob's Pillow, à une courte distance en voiture de Bash Bish Falls. Cet emplacement est idéalement situé à proximité de NY ainsi que des Berkshires ainsi que de la randonnée, du ski et de la natation. Près des domaines skiables de Catamount et de Butternut.

We loved this place especially for its easy access to the lake! They have a wonderful deck right on the water where my husband and I had our morning coffee watching the sunrise and the fish jumping (literally jumping!) Also so easy to get in and out of the kayaks. We loved this home mostly for the easy access to enjoying the outdoor area - dinners on the deck and fires at night. But the home was great too - beds supper comfortable, lovely fire place and nice kitchen and bathroom. We look forward to staying there again next year!

I was looking for a getaway with my 18 year old son and when we walked in and he saw the house and then the kayaks he said "I love it, it's perfect" and went right down to the water and got in the kayak. We had a great time relaxing in the comfortable beds and enjoyed the two man kayak as he paddled me around to catch some pretty big bass. Perfect place, will definitely come back.

If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place for you. Property is on a pond where the main activities are swimming and fishing. There is a small private beach directly across the pond from the house. Requires a parking pass, which we could not locate so we did not use it. Neighboring houses very close but they were either not there or very quiet. Very nice kitchen which is important to us since we ate most of our meals at the cottage. Did not use attic bedroom but beds on main floor very comfortable with ceiling fans. My only complaint would be the Living room which is a bit austere and sofa uncomfortable. Listing said there was a paddle boat. Asked host about this and she said it had gone missing and said she would take it off the listing. Location is lovely in a rural area but less than 30 minutes to Hudson for shopping and entertainment.

Lake was great for swimming and kayaking and fishing! Was a very nice spot! Too hot to use the fire pit but it looked good.
The household essentials were all there. Had to buy or make some ice, ice maker not working.

We thoroughly enjoyed some family time together at this beautiful getaway house by the lake with our three teenagers. The views of the serene lake are lovely! We liked fishing off the dock, kayaking, the fire pit and dinner on the deck overlooking the water. Our teen boys liked sleeping in the loft. We were very grateful we chose this house for our first ever trip to hike in the Catskills. Although Bash-Bosh Falls was closed due to renovations we found other great hikes with beautiful waterfalls that we will always remember.

All involved were polite and accommodating. Home was clean, updated and plenty of room for us. Loved the location and the views of the pond. Dining, skiing and all other were close by. Will definitely be back! Thanks so much!

One hour commute to be closer to skiing. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. This location is quiet and picturesque and would be an ideal location for hitting the slopes at Catamount or Butternut ski areas. Also, an ideal place for the summer overlooking a lake.

My partner and I had an amazingly relaxing stay 2 weeks ago. Ilana was wonderful! She replied quickly to all my messages and was able to accommodate our early check-in needs.
The house was warm and cozy. Very clean with all of the supplies you need for a long weekend.
Outdoor space was just enough for what we needed. Really wish we had a chance to kayak, but that just means, we will schedule a future date to come back!!

This is an interesting place. Although set in the rural atmosphere of Columbia County, the interior is classically urbane with cool art reflecting NYC, fashion, steel and glass. It blends well and relies on the windows rather than kitschy bric-a-brac, to let it be known that one is in the country. No antlers or moose prints here. Just looking out across the lake and enjoying the view is enough to put one at ease. And, during inclement weather, watching the lightning frame the clouds and the trees is incredibly beautiful. Nature at its finest.
The one difficulty is the lack of a dock. Entering the water to swim is a choice between a challenging ladder and wading through a little mucky patch.
Neighbors are close but friendly. We have been renting through VRBO for years. We like a variety of places and experiencing local character. We have never been to any place more than once, except this one. This was our third time here. The convenience, proximity to gardens and mountains, waterfalls and villages, as well as the fresh air make it a worthy consideration for anyone looking to "get away".

The owner of this property responded immediately each time I communicated with her. The cleanliness of the property inside and outside was a disappointment. The owner stated that she was having trouble with her cleaning service. But the entire property inside and out could use some cleaning and sprucing up.

We loved this home! It was a perfect stay right on the water. Close enough to cute little towns and the host was excellent with her correspondence. I highly recommend this home for anyone looking in this area to have a relaxing time with friends and family.

We were unable to stay at the property because the owner did not provide the access code for the door. We arrived at the property which looked great, but we could not get inside.
Fortunately, VRBO was very helpful. They answered the phone promptly and got right on the case. When they too were unable to reach the owner - it was then an hour past the check-in time with us wating outside in the cold - they helped to book us at a local hotel where we then spend the night.
The owner, who was out of the country, finally got in touch the next day at mid-day, but it was already past the time we would have had to check out of our hotel, so we had already rebooked. We spent two nights in the hotel instead of at the property. The owner promptly processed a full refund for the two nights we had booked.

Very relaxing stay. Great for adults. No beach at waterfront, but easily accessable accross the cove opposite the cabin. All essentials are available in the cabin. Very satisfying. We ususually don't return to the same place. We have been here twice and hope to return next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Robinson Pond. The home was clean and comfortable, and we used the kayaks, paddle boat, and beach. The owners were very communicative and helpful, which was appreciated. One suggestion is to have more kitchen items, like pans, pitchers, face clothes other useful everyday cooking items, which would have been more convenient and what we've been accustomed to when renting homes.

Nice lakeside getaway.
Kid friendly house right on the lake. Excellent location. Simply furnished but lots of kids’ games and water fun.

The pond and outdoor setting was very nice.
The water and outdoor sitting areas were very nice and peaceful. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boats that were on the property. Pick up your own firewood on the way if you’d like to use the fire pit outside. We loved it!
The overall house was okay, however, the bathroom and towels were not cleaned well at all.

Weekend Away
A couple of longtime friends met up here for the weekend. The location was easy to get to from both Boston and NYC. The house was perfectly situated on the pond and we enjoyed sitting outside. I will say the kitchen just had the very basics, we made simple meals so it worked out but something to take note of. When we were arriving there was a slight issue with the heat but the host notified us and it was taken care of quickly. Only mentioning to highlight the hosts ability to communicate and fix an issue quickly with little to no disruption to our trip.
And I must mention the little store close to the house Random Harvest. We had the best lunch there and bought some great local fare (pie! cheese!) for our weekend. Overall good stay.

Wonderful Stay at Copake Lake
We had a wonderful time at Copake Lake! The home was right on the water with a deck and small dock to enjoy. The view made things very peaceful. There is plenty to see and do in the immediate area, with hiking, biking, shopping, and eating options all within a reasonable distance!

Quiet and comfortable
We wanted to telecommute for a week from a serene lake - and this was perfect. We had wifi, a grill abandoned outdoor fire pit and beautiful lake views to make the workdays go a little quicker. Golf was very nearby for an afternoon of logging out early. Hosts were very responsive Anand helpful. Hope to return when it is warm enough to swim.

Lovely stay
Beautiful home, comfortable beds, lots of games, great fireplace, beautiful new bathroom and we especially enjoyed the view of the lake right in front of the house. The neighborhood is great for walking around, and the hosts were very helpful and communicative.

We loved our vacation and would stay here again next summer - so nice being steps away from dock and beautiful small lake - swimming - use of hosts kayaks and paddle boats - small sandy beach across the way - outside deck great to relax on and view lake - house was comfortable - well equipped to meet our needs - hosts were responsive

Ideal Vacation House
We were looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation and that is exactly what we got. The house exceeded our expectations in every way. And the location was perfect! We spent lazy days at the beach, on the paddleboat, fishing off the dock, and loving the view from the deck. Could not have been better!

Perfect, quiet getaway
It was so nice to spend time by the water, listening to the birds, and forgetting the pace of city life. It was equally enjoyable to sit by the fire in the living room and read. I had a special request and the host was kind and accommodating. I discovered a couple of delicious pizza/sandwich places less than 5 minutes from the house. My visit was exactly what I needed!

Great property
We loved our stay. Fresh daffodils on the table was a very nice touch. My grandchildren enjoyed the games and the chalk wall on the stairs. We kayaked and fished. Wonderful little vacation

Peaceful and cozy
This small but well fitted cottage on Robinson pond is ideal for a small family. It was quiet and peaceful as it was early spring Altho I imagine in the summer it is hopping! Easy to get to and a scenic drive.
