As usual, very relaxing, convenient to transportation, walking and shopping. Will visit again, for sure.

We loved our stay. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds very comfortable. The area is quiet.

Seit März dieses Jahres braucht es einen Chip zum Öffnen des Tores fürs Recyclen, der beim Einwohnermeldeamt bezogen werden kann. Es ist trotz anders lautender Beschreibung ebenfalls möglich, den Müll am Donnerstag an die (Haupt-) Strasse zu stellen. Ferner war etwa die Hälfte aller Lampen defekt. Dann waren da noch die Handtücher. Fast alle haben muffig gestunken und einige Geschirrtücher hatten (Schimmel-?) Flecken. Ausserdem hatte es mehr Elektrogeräte mit deutschem Stecker als es Adapter im Haus hatte - das war recht Mühsam. Es war ziemlich enttäuschend, dass es NUR eine Filterkaffeemaschine hatte. Teppiche stinken schnell muffig und sind für Allergiker alles andere als vorteilhaft. Im Erdgeschoss hat es immer noch sehr muffig gestunken, trotzdem wir über einer Woche täglich mehrmals ausgiebig gelüftet hatten. Wir waren auch entsetzt, wie schmutzig Geschirr, Kochtöpfe, Bratpfannen und die Besteckschublade waren. Die Bratpfannen waren auch schon sehr verkratzt und abgenutzt, so dass sich die Frage stellte, ob diese noch ohne Gesundheitsgefährdung benutzt werden konnten. Die Tischdecke vom Esstisch wies ebenfalls noch Essensreste auf, so dass wir uns entschlossen haben, diese nicht zu benutzen. In der Beschreibung auf der Seite FeWo-direkt.de heisst es, dass es eine Luxusküche hat. Dies mag mit viel good will vom äusseren Schein zutreffen, jedoch nicht vom Inhalt. Das Geschirr war zum grössten Teil schon recht abgenutzt und bestand aus einem grossen Sammelsurium. Obwohl es in der Beschreibung heisst, dass das Haus grossen Komfort bietet und für sechs Personen bestens gerüstet ist, waren noch nicht einmal genügend Tassen / Becher und Teelöffel für 6 Personen vorhanden. Überhaupt weicht die Beschreibung auf der Internetseite sehr von der Realität ab. Obwohl es "Großes freistehendes Ferienhaus, familienfreundlich, Traumlage, St Gallen, WLAN" heisst, ist es doch eher ein kleines Haus mit gewissem Komfort. Von Traumlage könnte man allenfalls sprechen, wenn es eine entsprechende Aussicht (Berge, See etc.) gäbe. Allerdings liegt das Haus verkehrstechnisch sehr günstig, so dass man bequem innerhalb kurzer Zeit diverse Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichen kann. Nur dass wir uns nicht falsch verstehen. Wir fühlten uns in dem Haus wohl und hatten uns trotz 1 Woche "schlechtem" Wetter gut erholt. Jedoch wurden viele Erwartungen bezüglich des Hauses aufgrund übertriebener und unrealistischer Formulierungen und der tatsächlichen Umstände nicht erfüllt - schade.

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt!

Sehr schönes, sauberes in ruhiger Lage liegendes Ferienhaus. Wir haben als Familie den kurzurlaub sehr genossen.

Wir hatten einen schönen und erholsamen Urlaub in einem voll aus gestattetem Familienhaus. Für die Kinder war alles da. Auch die Garage ist definitiv ein Luxus.

It was a very quiet and nice place. We had trouble understanding where and how to dispose of the garbage. The instructions about this were only in German and we were not accustomed to the habits of Switzerland. Next time we will know!

Gerne wieder

Das Haus bietet alles was man braucht. Schade ist das es kein Gefrierfach im Kühlschrank hat (wäre in den warmen Sommermonaten optimal für eine abkühlende Glace oder Kühlpads für Kühltasche) Es ist sehr sauber und heimelig (alter Holzboden knarrt, Teppiche sorgen für kuschelige warme Atmosphäre). Sehr unkomplizerte Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter. Toller Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Wir (5 köpfige Familie) fühlten uns sehr wohl und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Das Ferienhaus hat alles was man braucht, um einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu haben. Es sind auch genügend Spielsachen für die Kinder vorhanden, mann braucht wirklich nichts mitzunehmen. Ich kann das Ferienhaus von Herrn Krieg nur weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank!

Das Objekt wurde von uns geschäftlich genutzt. Es war alles zu unserer besten Zufriedenheit. Vor allem die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr nett und entgegenkommend.

Es war ein ganz wunderbarer Aufenthalt dort, wir haben mit der Familie wirklich großes Wohlgefühl erlebt.

Das Objekt befindet sich in einer kleinen Wohnsiedlung mit schweizerischem Naturcharakter, aber auch Industriebetriebe und Vorortbahnstrecke, sind in unmittelbarerer Nähe, die Störungen halten sich aber in Grenzen. Ausflugsziele sind mit Kinderwagen und ohne Auto kaum bzw. schwer zu erreichen. Für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt ist eine gut Ausstattung vorhanden, eine bequeme Eckbank in der Küche ist aber angebracht, diverse Haken für Hand- und Geschirrtücher fehlen. Duschvorhang und Duschkopf sind erneuerungsbedürftig. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr zuvorkommmend.

The house was in a great location. The owner was very responsive. When we first got there, the garage was not unlocked but he quickly had someone come and remedy the situation. The house is basic and clean. The washing machine was an added bonus. Since we are Americans, it would be nice to have some explanation of some of the appliances in English. It also was quite warm and a few fans would have made the experience more comfortable

Le séjour s’est très bien passé. Le propriétaire est très sympathique et ses explications sont claires. La maison est agréable à vivre, il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour s’y sentir bien.

Very comfortable home, especially the kitchen. You can get essentials within walking distance, making cooking meals a breeze. Lot’s of things to do, it is 5 minutes to the train station! Awesome place😀 Chris

After seeking around, we found this property as the ideal place for a two week stay. As the German owner is not living nearby, a detailed description to enter the house is provided upfront. When we finally arrived, and did our first tour in and around the so called family house, we unfortunately needed to list quit a subset of unconvenient surprises. 1. Not all windows do have blind/curtains. With small kids doing their daily nap during daytime, it’s impossible to darken the room. In addition, at 5am you will get a natural wake up call. 2. The heating system is electric and installed with heating plates. Switching them on is resulting inunsafe situations, you could severely burn. In other words, very dangerous for small kids. 3. Bring your own towels, the ones available are so thin that you can look trough them. 4. Don’t count on the available stair fence, the one available is faulty and dangerous. 5. Impossible for kids to play in the garden, the grass is that high the you can vanish. Although HomeAway is initially very helpful and fully supporting our findings we justified with pictures. After all, they hide behind their terms and conditions. Also we had several mails with the property owner who is without any doubt referring to the pictures in the advertisement. In other words, be prepared and analyze the pictures carefully before you make your reservation.

We had a great time at Matthias' property. Matthias was extremely helpful beforehand in terms of instructions and details about the property. The house is in a great location and is very comfortable, with just the right furnishings and equipment. We used it as a base for exploring a truly beautiful part of Switzerland as well as the nearby town of St Gallen. It was very easy to do a number of good walks from the house itself.

We had a great stay in this holidays house, everything is comfortable and functional. The environment is wonderful, there are many things to do in the area such as hiking, tours, not to mention the very nice pool in the city. We hope to come back soon!

Stayed here for 5 nights, and were completely impressed with the cleanliness, communication and location of the home. We have exclusively used HomeAway for all of our lodging in Switzerland, and this was a fantastic experience, and we would encourage all travelers to stay here for a true cozy feeling holiday home. We loved this vacation home. Everything was perfect. Owner was very nice. My 3-year old daughter loved all the toys in the house and spent many hours playing with them.
