Beautiful cabin, on a secluded acre, close to the NE Entrance of YNP

We loved every minute of our stay at Christy's cabin. We spend a lot of time in the area and this is by far our favorite place we have ever stayed. The cabin is in a very peaceful and quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag. The cabin has every amenity imaginable, comfortable beds and furniture, and great Wi-Fi. We hope to be able to return for another stay soon!

Everything about this property was amazing. You are surrounded by trees and secluded from everything. Even though we only saw one deer during our stay the environment

This is our families fourth stay at this beautiful cabin. It’s conveniently located close Lamar Valley where you can view the famous Yellowstone wolves. We have seen moose, deer and black bear in the backyard of the cabin. It’s comfortable and well stocked with everything you would need. We can’t wait to return!

We really enjoyed our stay at Grey Wolf Cabin. It was very comfortable for us as a couple and had everything we needed on the ground floor without needing to access the loft. We enjoyed the cooler temps of Silver Gate and the extremely quiet surroundings. We will stay again when visiting the area. The wifi was a helpful perk since I had to do some business while on vacation! Good WiFi is hard to find in the area! We enjoyed watching Netflix, as well. The outdoor space was huge and well furnished.

Very comfortable and well-equipped cabin. Best part was location just outside the NE entrance to Yellowstone, since we had easy access to repeated trips to Lamar Valley where we saw wolves, bears, foxes, coyotes, pronghorn, deer, and a zillion bison :). Our friend who has stayed at this cabin in the past reported lots of wildlife at the cabin itself, which was not our experience - at least during our stay, outside of the park there was very little wildlife about. I am not sure if this was bad luck or due to the very noticeable multitude of construction sites around the area, but either way, this entrance to Yellowstone is much less commercialized than any of the other options!

Best place to recharge and rejuvinate

The thing that I appreciated the most was that the cabin did not smell of chemical cleaners when we entered, and all laundry and soap supplies were unscented. Thank you SO much for that! We enjoyed the comfy furniture, the propane fireplace during the cold evenings, good wifi, and the stocked household supplies. The library of natural history field guides and books were also much appreciated. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit.

My husband and our dog stayed at this lovely cabin. Great location in a cute little mountain town. We stayed in March with still alot of snow hitting the mountain which we loved! We had no issues seeing wildlife and finding things to do!
Everyday we went out to explore we saw wildlife roaming even in the midst of snow storm! Some key things to remember for this location roads close in the winter and winter is until end of March. Make sure to stop at the grocery to stock up on necessities as there are limited restraunts and stores in close proximity. Closest store is about an hour drive.
The cabin is lovely and the owner has provided all the right amenities (bear spray, snow shoes, basic stock groceries) it had everything we needed!

Third time was a charm, our 3rd stay over Christmas break and we finally saw wolves. Not once, not twice but three separate times. Definitely the highlight of our week.
We love staying at Grey Wolf cabin. It’s secluded in the winter, so much so that we had a moose resting right in the backyard.
The cabin is a perfect launching point to explore Yellowstone, don’t miss out seeing it in the winter. It’s just as beautiful as it is in the summer.
The cabin is clean, had had everything you need to make your stay comfortable.

Took my 82 year old Mom, brother and sister-in-law on an annual trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. Their mobility was somewhat limited so the cabin was perfectly located for trips across the Chief Joseph Highway and Beartooth Pass. All this besides afternoon and evening animal viewing!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! It is absolutely beautiful and the location is perfect for visiting Yellowstone! The host had great communication and checked in to ensure we had everything we needed and suggested places to see wildlife! The community of Silver Gate is so unique, and we loved it! We would definitely return!

This was our first trip to Yellowstone and this was a nice, comfortable cabin. Many of the other reviews mention this also, the beds are very comfortable. Plenty of space for a family of five. Convenient location to the north east entrance of Yellowstone. We saw a lot of animals in the Lamar Valley - several grizzlies, two wolves, Buffalo, pronghorn, elk, and bald eagles. The cabin is also a five minute drive to get ice cream and souvenirs in Silvergate. We did that one day and they were very friendly and my kids really liked that. We enjoyed the artwork all over the cabin of the yellow stone animals and my kids also really liked the stuffed animals and wild animal toys. It made it feel like home and gave them something to play with. If you want to stay in the north east entrance area, I would recommend this place.

The cabin is well stocked, comfortable, and has a beautiful aesthetic. We saw a bull moose, deer, and a black bear out the front window. Easy drive into Lamar Valley for morning wolf watching.

We loved this home. The pictures don’t do it justice. It has everything you will need. The beds and bedding are so cozy, nice W/D and tons of dishes and pans. There are a lot of thoughtful items in the house that make guests feel very welcome and comfortable. The deck overlooks the forest and was our fav place in the morning.
I spoke with the owner on the phone and she suggested restaurants and was genuinely sweet and so helpful. You can tell they have a lot of pride in their home. We didn’t want to leave.

This is a very warm cozy home that has obviously taken years to decorate it to what it is now. Very quiet, clean, well kept. No fire pit is the only downfall. Highly recommended

We chose to celebrate my 60th birthday by visiting YNP and staying at this AWESOME property in Silver Gate. How can we describe what a wonderful, perfect space this was for us? First, and I *never* say this: the pictures DO NOT DO JUSTICE to the views out those windows. And we live in the Tetons with a huge Teton view, but this is super special. You’re not just looking at a Mountain View. It’s like you are literally ON the mountain side, just below the summit… the alpenglow is outrageous! Second, the space inside is so accommodating and comfortable with everything you might need. The beds are very comfortable with nice linens, duvets, soft pillows. It’s just a cute, comfortable, homey, nice space in a very private quiet location just minutes from the east entrance into the park.
Our routine: wake; coffee & breakfast; pack picnic lunch; jump in car and drive approx 15 minutes to first wildlife view spot; spend rest of the morning watching bears, wolves, bison with babies; set up chairs in beautiful secluded spot with sweeping views of the Lamar for picnic lunch; spend rest of afternoon watching more bears, bison, migrating birds; yawn… let’s go back to house for nap; watch alpenglow on mountain right out the window for cocktail hour; prep easy dinner in well-appointed kitchen; watch one episode of our favorite Netflix show; fall asleep in comfy bed to the lullaby of silent full moon. Next day: repeat. Aaaaaaaahhh…
One thing my husband wants to mention: if you do happen to visit this special time of year (early May), plan to bring your own food. There are no restaurants or grocery stores open this time of year, despite what you may read online. Which makes sense because there’s no one in the area, which is why we came! There was one open bar and we bought a frozen pizza at the gas station in Cooke City, but otherwise we relied on what we brought, which was more than fine, but just word to the wise…
We hope to return here next year! Thank you hosts!!!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. There were so many more amenities than are listed here. The owner was very good with communicating and super flexible with our group. We will be back!

Brought the family to spend Christmas here and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. So much snow kids were in heaven. We have AWD and snow tires so getting to the cabin from the main road was no problem. We ventured around to Cooke City and then Yellowstone a couple of days but mostly just stayed at the cabin. Great family time. Very relaxing and quiet. Highly recommend staying here.

Perfect! We were a family of 3 adults and one old dog and it was as comfortable as one could ask for. The kitchen was extremely well stocked to accommodate all our holiday needs-even more grateful as my husband that has become a gourmet cook and he had no complaints! We appreciated the collection of wolf photos and great library of books as our purpose was not only to celebrate Thanksgiving, but to go into YNP and wolf watch.. Everything was so well organized , efficient, and clean. We really felt like we were personal guests of the owner as it felt so comfortable and welcoming. The immediate area was easy to walk around and down to "town".
This would be my first choice to stay again in Silver Gate or outside YNP.

Perfect cabin in the woods!
We had the best time at Grey Wolff Cabin. The location was even better than we anticipated and the cabin has practically anything you could need! We spent four days hiking the surrounding areas including the waterfall that’s just a short walk from the cabin. We stayed the first week of April and while a bit challenging due to some snow and mud we were still able to do the Slough Creek Trail, Pebble Creek Trail, part of the Thunderer Mt. trail, Lost Lake Trail and Trout Lake trail. This cabin was a perfect spot to come home too to relax and we had the best burgers in Cooke City. Beds were comfortable and everything was just perfect. By day two I was online checking future availability of Grey Wolff cabin as we will definitely be back ASAP! The hosts were informative and conscientious and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the overall experience!

Winter wonderland!
Grey Wolf Cabin was incredible! Perfectly curated and stocked for any adventure. It was amazing to go unplugged and simply enjoy the cabin and Yellowstone. It’s so close to the National Park!
They’ve really thought of everything at this cabin. You’re covered for everything from kitchen supplies, firewood, extra blankets, and even an escape ladder should you lock yourself out on the top balcony.
We loved our stay and would love to come again in a different season.
