Our family loved this beautiful and relaxing property. The layout allowed for indoor gatherings for meals and games, while ensuring everyone could have a feeling of privacy at the start and end of the day. There were multiple outdoor areas for meals that had beautiful views, yet the property still felt completely private. We agree with all of the positive comments from the previous reviewers, especially that the pictures can't do this home justice.

We just returned from 10 blissful days at this beautiful property in Glen Ellen. It's just a short drive (walk) from the charming downtown area of Glen Ellen, which has a well-stocked supermarket, fabulous restaurants, a French bakery and gourmet breakfast spot. It's conveniently located to several wineries and all the restaurants in downtown Sonoma. The house itself is perfection - a great layout for a family with children, teens, grandparents...everything on one floor, but spread out so everyone has their own space and bathroom. Two communal areas for hanging out and socializing make it a excellent space for family gatherings. The ping pong table was a HUGE hit with our teens. The pool area is tranquil and relaxing, ideal for enjoying a cup of coffee in the early morning and a glass of sparkling wine at the close of the day. We had a great experience with the property manager. This home is well maintained. It had all the right touches to make it feel homey, but luxurious. Gorgeous wine country views from each and every window was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back!

I have been a Vrbo renter for over a decade and I would have to say this might be the best North American property I've ever stayed in. We were a group of three couples and the accomodation couldn't have been more perfect - everyone with their own rooms with ensuite, large well equipped kitchen and great outdoor spaces and gardens. Excellent dining (and groceries) a short walk away. Everything was simply perfect - including the hosts who were welcoming and easy to contact.

Where do I begin - this was the most perfect rental ever.
The house is absolutely stunning, pristinely clean, spacious, appointed with everything you could possibly need, and beautifully decorated (and with really nice housewares and furniture- not your typical cheap rental things). We cooked a few meals in and it was so nice to have a fully outfitted kitchen and even some nice-to-have decorative pieces that made it feel like a home and our celebration feel special (i.e. charcuterie boards, cloth napkins, placemats, serving platters, etc)
The outside was equally (if not more) stunning - the landscaping is an absolute dream - and we even ditched our winery plans one day to take full advantage of the pool. Our group kept saying we felt like we were at a wellness retreat the whole weekend.
The location couldn't have been better - a quick walk into Glen Ellen town - we did a bakery visit, grocery run, and evening dinner all on foot. We were also then very centrally located to do winery excursions during the day. We had a relatively easy time getting an Uber to dinner one night, (which I know in some of the less-centrally located parts of Sonoma County can be a challenge) just give yourself a little more wiggle room for the ride to be picked up/arrive than you might be used to in a more urban/suburban location.

Our group was celebrating a 60th birthday and the house and yard provided lots of space for people to both spread out and be together. Kitchen and master bedroom are very spacious and nicely appointed except for the fact that there were no wine glasses, a necessity for most I would think! We loved the yard and pool area although seating was not particularly comfy nor was the living room seating comfortable. Overall a very nice house with lots of interesting books, walkable to town and a gorgeous setting!

This secluded Glen Ellen home is exactly as described and photographed. The home has all modern amenities except air conditioning. Several days were quite hot and only two of the three rooms had an “a/c” fan (the owner should consider adding a third “a/c” fan for the third bedroom). My son with asthma had a flare at the home as we needed to keep all the windows and doors open to allow the cooler night air to flow into the home. The pool is not heated, per se, although our kids didn’t mind as it was pretty hot during the day. The home is set atop a hillside so we saw lots of deer and wild turkeys roaming during our stay. The backyard itself is a sanctuary and offered plenty of relaxation. The town of Glen Ellen is sleepy but has a wonderful grocery store and restaurants that offer carry out if you decide to dine at home. Also the home is well stocked with cleaning and paper supplies so we didn’t need to bring. I would recommend that the home owner replace the towels as they are very dingy, stained and worn. Overall great property and would recommend more for cooler Sonoma months.

So much better than the pictures
The pictures of this property are just amazing...and then you arrive and it's insanely better! We picked this property for the pool and the location being central to almost everything in Sonoma Country. The pool and backyard area are stunning. Such a secret gem. The home is comfortable and spacious with top of the line everything. The location is basically 30 minutes (or less) from Healdsburg, down to Sonoma, over west to Petaluma and Napa (and north) to the east. It's a wonderful home base for a relaxing vacation.

Wonderful private retreat
Our 2nd time at this property. Loved it again. No issues, nice sized rooms. Air conditioners in two rooms weee appreciated. Also appreciated the additional umbrella. Love the local market and fig cafe and proximity to sonoma. Next time will visit the local wineries. Perfect for a family of 5, or a group of friends. Will be back again next year!

Glen Ellen Oasis
Stunning property in private location near Glen Ellen restaurants/shops! We walked to the French bakery each morning and enjoyed the day by the pool with our young kids. The backyard pool and landscaping creates the perfect wine country atmosphere to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family. The property is overall kid-friendly, but if you have toddlers you may consider bringing your own plates/cups or disposable items for the trip as dinnerware is really nice Heath ceramic items. Property manager is very responsive.

Adult kids are so much more fun than little ones… Husband and I and our three adult kiddos - what a fun place. ONLY issue was that there is no AC and the last night was pretty warm - we made due with fans and no one suffered… walking distance to a lovely market and French bakery…. Several Michelin recommended restaurants in a town of 800… Host was lovely and accommodating! Recommend highly

Magical & Perfectly Located Home
This contemporary and comfortable home has it all and is perfectly located. The large open spaces and the layout of the bedrooms and accompanying bathrooms is ideal for gathering a group of 6. The bedrooms are well insulated - so not to worry about the snoring in the room next door. The outdoor space has a lot of seating and a great lap pool, resident blue birds and is absolutely beautiful. The grill and all of the kitchen utensils and tools are fabulous (and complete). The shops are within walking distance and the grocery has everything you need; a great meat selection for grilling and a nice veggie selection. Oh, and do not leave Glen Ellen without going to the French bakery La Pascals (Oh my - so good). There are several great restaurants if you don't want to cook. Glen Ellen is located perfectly between all of the winery areas; Yountville, St Helena, Napa, Sonoma and an easy drive to Healdsburg and Calistoga. Without exception, we all absolutely loved this home (and I would say that we have high expectations so believe me - it is fabulous).

Just finished a 2 week stay. Property was great as was the owner Lisille. The town of Glen Ellen is quaint and the area is beautiful. The only negative is the distance from the wineries in Napa valley.

We spent a wonderful weekend at this beautiful property. It is as comfortable and welcoming as it is stylish and photogenic. We loved the pool, the expansive grounds, the easy walk to the market and French bakery, the pingpong table, the interesting book collection. Beds were super comfortable. House is immaculate and well-maintained. Would love to return!

Beautiful, very private, quiet, and definitely "back to nature" yet short walk to cute town. We were visited by deer, wild turkeys, blue jays squirrels, etc. Lovely house, very airy and large open spaces. All bedrooms en suite bathrooms.

A total delight
The place was even more beautiful than the photos. Lovely secluded feeling location, yet only a few minutes walk from town. The house itself was beautifully decorated and perfectly equipped for cooking etc. We loved it and can’t wait to stay again!

Great House
Modern Farm House with all that you need including yoga matts. Kitchen was fully equipped and the towels and sheets were new and great quality. We stayed over thanksgiving and it was cold so pool was not an option but it wasn't heated anyway. A hot tub would have made it even better.

Wow! What a treat to stay in this beautiful home. Absolutely beautiful, private grounds with so much California charm. The local grocery store at the bottom of the street is a real gem. Loaded with amazing meats, cheeses, wines and foods. I would recommend this VRBO to my nearest and dearest family & friends. Absolutely 5 stars - can't wait to go back!

Beautiful house, wonderful stay!
We stayed in the house for a get-together weekend celebrating a birthday (and surprise engagement!) - everything was perfect! Beautifully designed and perfectly suited for a relaxing weekend getaway for our three adult couples. The kitchen had everything we needed for morning coffee and evening dinners, the pool was delightful for late afternoon/evening swims, and the common spaces were perfect for lounging and game nights. We appreciated the individual suites for each couple, and despite the unusually warm temps, the house felt cool and comfortable. Thank you for contributing to a weekend we'll always remember!

Beautiful home and property
This house is the best! The home is comfortable and has all you need to settle in. The property/yard are so beautiful. Truly feels like you are miles from anything, yet such an easy walk down the hill to the great market, delicious wine country restaurants and a few tasting rooms. Sonoma wineries are just minutes away. Highly recommend this rental. Hope to rent it again soon!

Serenity
We were in Glen Ellen for our daughter's nuptials and this exquisite property provided us with an amazing sanctuary
in the middle of the hubbub leading up to the big day. It was wonderful to have the serenity and seclusion the house provided. And since we're all table tennis nuts, there was that stimulation as well! And it was great for our friends, who came in from all parts, to pop up and see us, have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, before the big day. In my opinion, the photos on the website don't do the property justice. It was much larger than I thought. Plenty of space for 3 couples. And so quiet. Great for birdwatching too (thanks for the provided binoculars). And we were walking distance to Glen Ellen Star, our new favorite restaurant! We very much look forward to returning to Chauvet when we have more time to enjoy this exquisite house. Thank you!
