Notre chalet confortable de 1921 est situé dans un quartier calme, sous 19 200 séquoias. À Fairfax, vous n'êtes pas loin de rien!
La ville de Fairfax est une merveilleuse combinaison d'arts boho, yoga, cyclistes de montagne, marché de producteurs, amateurs de bonne cuisine et de divertissement. Nous avons deux marchés, l’un, le "mondialement connu", le magasin d’aliments naturels Good Earth. Notre maison est à distance de marche du centre-ville sur une route fermée avec une circulation automobile minimale

Nous sommes situés à seulement 10 minutes à pied du centre-ville de Fairfax, où vous trouverez de la bonne nourriture, des bars avec de la musique en direct, du yoga et probablement le meilleur magasin de crème glacée de tous les temps.
L'arrêt de bus est situé en plein centre-ville, il est donc facile de prendre un bus pour aller en ville ou une navette pour aller à la plage.
Vous serez également situé à 10 minutes à pied de nombreux sentiers de randonnée et de VTT dans le parc Deer. Si vous vous sentez énergique, vous pouvez faire de la randonnée jusqu’à l’un des cinq lacs à proximité, ou tout simplement conduire 20 minutes sur la colline.

This cottage was so sweet! It was a perfect space for three senior sisters. The beds were comfy. The property was filled with mature redwoods, which were beautiful, and kept the cottage cool without AC. I highly recommend this property.

Charming house in the redwoods

We stayed at this property in July/Aug 2024 in order to attend our friends' wedding and to visit family in Marin. We used to live in San Anselmo, we had our daughter there and spent a lot of time in Fairfax years ago (we live in New Hampshire now) but we wanted to stay somewhere special and memorable. This cozy cottage was the perfect choice, close to everything we did during our vacation and felt like coming home again to our old neighborhood but even better. It was so peaceful, relaxing and beautiful and really helped us experience all of the charm that Fairfax and Marin in general, has to offer. Plus Teresa was the perfect host and Diane who was assisting, was so nice we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her. I would highly recommend a stay here, you will love it and we are hoping to come back ourselves soon!

We were drawn to this property by the beautiful redwoods and wanting to enjoy the natural beauty of the area! Fairfax and this cozy home were both perfect! We were able to visit the City, hike the redwoods and sip wine in Sonoma! Our hosts were lovely and added to our enjoyment ! We will be back!

Fantastic, beautiful property to stay in nestled in the Red Woods! We were coming for a wedding at Deer Park Villa which was 5 minutes away and this Vrbo made the stay more magical! The host was super helpful and they thought of everything- even spices, coffee, and extra blankets. Our friends stayed on the pull out sofa and said it was very comfortable too! Fairfax is super convenient and a very cute town as well. We might come back just to stay here!

We always enjoy staying at Teresa's property. It is in a craftsman house in a beautiful setting among the redwood trees. the house is very comfortable with lots of amenities. We are able to walk to downtown Fairfax for restaurants. There is a great ice cream shop downtown.

Quaint cottage in great location. Very well stocked with necessities and other. Good communication with owner. Our daughter had selected Deer Park Villa for her wedding venue which was a 10 minute walk. Cottage was a 15 minute to downtown Fairfax. Highly recommend!

The property is located close to the charming town of Fairfax and yet feels very secluded and surrounded by trees.
Teresa was extremely prompt and responsive and checked in to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed. I particularly enjoyed waking up to 5 giant redwoods right outside the bedroom window!

Teresa's cottage is amazing! I went for a weekend with 3 friends and we had such a nice time. The property is lovely, with tall redwoods and even its own babbling brook right next to the little deck - a perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning and tea and meditation in the evening. It's also an easy walk to the super charming downtown area with cafes, restaurants and unique, quirky shops. I'm hoping to come back with my family (including 2 teenagers who would love the town) for another weekend. And Teresa is a delightful host - she was so kind and gracious when we accidentally locked ourselves out and had to call on her to help us get in. :) I can't recommend her place highly enough!!

It was so much fun to be here. It stormed the whole time and it was wonderful to be snug inside, watching the rain on the skylights and listening to a creek rushing past. Fabulous decompression and relaxation.

My daughter and I stayed two nights in December to break up the dark season in Seattle. It rained while we were in Fairfax, so we woke up to a stream outside the cabin that wasn't there the night before, which was magical. The sound of raindrops on the sky lights accompanied us at night. The cabin had everything we needed, it was clean and it's older structure gave it character. The kitchen is fully functional but the lights lower when certain electrical appliances are used. The cabin is tucked in a beautiful neighborhood that is walking distance from downtown Fairfax. The host Teresa was available and onsite for anything we needed, she and her husband were great hosts.

My wife and I, along with a friend were in town for a wedding. We were so thrilled with the location of the property, which is in a quiet neighborhood and also conveniently located to the downtown area. We loved the unique construction of the cottage as well as the interior layout and decor. We will definitely return to stay here next opportunity we have!

Perfectly located in the redwoods of Fairfax, this lovely small house is spotless and comfortable, only a 10-15 minute walk from the downtown. Very nice hosts made us feel at home right away. And Fairfax is a fun town to explore, not to mention all the nature attractions that are nearby: Point Reyes, Mount Tam, etc. Great place!

My boyfriend and I were hoping to escape the noise and congestion of Fleet Week in San Francisco, and this cottage was the perfect antidote -- spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Now that we know the property and the kind owner, Teresa, we're looking forward to spending more time there in future!

We had a great stay in this beautiful,1920's bungalow. It's very cozy, super clean, and perfect for a SFO area getaway. Very close to San Fran, Muir Woods, and wine country. We loved the quaint little town of Fairfax. Great responsive host. Highly recommend.

Teresa was the perfect host for our stay: friendly, welcoming, helpful. The place was clean and quiet and comfortable, and it even had a few niceties like spices and Pop Tarts and Dirt Coke available. For our needs, this was the perfect place to stay.

Wonderful spot in a great neighborhood! Perfect for our family of 4. Exceptionally comfortable queen bed and sofa bed (we didn’t use the twin bed but I’m sure it’s good too!). I was a little apprehensive about the weather and lack of A/C in the Bay Area — it was July when we were there an unusually hot — but the redwood cover really does keep the house nice and cool. Teresa was very considerate and I enjoyed communicating with her. We were in town for a wedding at Deer Park Villa and actually walked to and from the venue! About 10 min walk there and 15 min walk to downtown Fairfax, which is a great little town. Can’t say enough about this rental and location!!

My son and I came up to explore the San Francisco area but didn’t want to be right in the city. This cottage was perfect. The town was only 4-5 mins away where we could get food, coffee, ice cream etc. We chose not to cook while there but, the kitchen has everything you could want for basic meals. You can’t roast a turkey there- anything else you could do. The cottage was clean, including linens and towels. It has a little porch on the front with a small table where I had my coffee one morning but, you could have up to 4 people eating a meal there. Teresa had excellent communication and check in/out was easy.
I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

I am so glad I found this place. It was adorable and comfortable! Teresa was excellent at communicating with us, and we were impressed by the detailed visitors binder and restaurant menus binder that were left for us. They were very helpful. We really enjoyed the town of Fairfax and would come back. I think my mom wants to move there😊

I stayed here as I was finishing up my last MFA residency at Dominican University. Fairfax is a lovely, quirky little town and this place - nestled in the redwoods -- is quiet yet close to everything. Teresa was an amazing host -- bottles of water in the fridge, towels, a French press, spices, tea, etc. The cabin itself is sooooo charming, and so comfy - I just loved sitting and drinking my coffee in the a.m. While it doesn't have an oven, it has just about everything else you'd need (hot plate, microwave, dorm-sized fridge). I'll be back when my teen graduates from high school - he wants a San Fran/Marin experience and this is a great place to launch it from!

Very lovely. Teresa is a wonderful host, very friendly and kind. The Rooms are as described. If you like you can cook here. For Breakfast its ideal. We felt very welcome here and should have planned for a longer stay here.

We had the best time at the rental. The place was perfect for relaxing and close to activities. We hiked Muir Woods which was near by then went over to Stinson Beach. The property host was wonderful she assisted us before we got to the rental and during our stay. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.
