New Secluded Deer Isle Cottage With Island Views - Quiet Woodland Retreat
Deux d'entre vous pouvez rester ici sur un seul niveau de votre porte de voiture à l'étage principal ou le pont. Le premier étage dispose d'une chambre double et salle de bain complète. Montez l'escalier à la mezzanine et deux autres peuvent vous rejoindre avec lits jumeaux et un demi-bain.
La cuisine et salle à manger est entièrement équipée, le salon est confortable et son tout lumineux et nouvelle. Chaises berçantes, la paix et la tranquillité, et une vue imprenable vous invitent.
Si vous apportez votre kayak et veulent avoir accès à l'eau, nous avons fourni un sentier à la plage de poche sur l'anse ci-dessous. Ou, braver le froid et prendre un bain dans notre eau vivifiante.
Nous avons construit cette maison avec tout le confort moderne afin que nos amis peuvent venir profiter du calme de Webb Cove.

Pine Hill Cottage was the base for our family group’s (4 adults 60+) delightful stay on Deer Isle. The cottage was well equipped, the beds comfy, and the shower had ample water pressure. The view from the front deck surpassed the photos! We also enjoyed the property’s trails, especially at sunset. David and Carolyn were responsive hosts and we loved the occasional visits from Daisy, the cheeky golden retriever! We hope to return to this enchanting part of Maine.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time. We never wanted to leave the property. The deck provided a perfect view of the Maine coast and lovely off shore breezes. The location is close to Stonington. Cottage is equipped with everything from a coffee grinder to pie making items. Our hosts Caroline and David were the best. Willing to share some flour on the spot that I had forgotten for rolling out pie dough for blueberry pie. We used the time away from TV to read and watch the stars. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay very much. A beautiful location and we really enjoyed being able to access the shore and sit on the rocks and watch the water. Very comfortable cottage and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Our dog loved it too!

The location of the place is amazing. The views are phenomenal and we truly experienced what Maine is all about. The host is extremely friendly and they have a lovely golden retriever. If you want to stay at a place that is peaceful and quiet, this is definitely the right place.

Great property secluded with an ocean view and a one minute walk to the rocky ocean beach. Owners, David & Carolyn live right down the road and are very nice and responsive. Our dog got along smashingly with theirs. Be sure to find this property for the first time in the day light as it is down a gravel/stone road. You will really feel like you have gotten away from all the hustle and bustle yet it is a short drive to Stonington Harbor.

Delightful location – amazing view. Delightful cottage – clean, comfortable, and intimate. Delightful facilities – trees, ocean, no TVs and dependable internet. Delightful dog – Daisy is a friendly, bundle of energetic joy. Most importantly – Delightful hosts! David and Carolyn are welcoming and friendly. We hope to return – soon.

This was our 3rd visit to Carolyn and David's cottage. As soon as we turned onto W. Spruce Harbor Rd we could feel life's stresses melt away. This visit was as wonderful as our previous stays, thanks to Carolyn and David's hospitality.
We wanted for nothing - except maybe some sunshine but even with the rainy, foggy days we made the most of it - visiting places we were saving for rainy days that hadn't come in the past.
On the one day of sun we accomplished a long held bucket list item - kayaking to Isle au Haut! The islands in between are magical - like we imagine the Caribbean to be like.
Thank you Carolyn, David, and sweet Daisy for having us back. We look forward to returning next year!

Perfect remote location for a Maine camp getaway with water access and views overlooking islands to the South. The property a variety of settings to enjoy - porch, lawn, woodland trail, cove, rocky beach, the cottage was well equipped for all activities. David and Carolyn made themselves available should we need anything, but everything was perfect. Hope to return next year!

Secluded with a small private cove yet very close to great lobster and fantastic hiking. Beat our expectations on every level! Just a bit more than an hour to Acadia NP loop. Will definitely bring kayaks next time.

In past years, my late wife and I, and guests, spent many happy days at the Friedells' cottage. This was a comforting return after a two-year lapse, and I plan to stay there again next June. As always, the Friedells were kindly and accommodating hosts.

The Friedells, who live on the property, are friendly, gracious & are VERY attentive, yet without a hint of intrusiveness. (I would have enjoyed chatting more than we did!) It's a quiet, private, lovely setting. Easy access to water for kayaking. The cottage is well-supplied, with every need anticipated, and the fixtures & appliances are all modern & in good working order. Really comfortable. I'm sure if one DID need something special they would do their best to help out. They were very kind at checkout~I wasn't feeling well~and allowed me some extra time to get packed out, without making me feel rushed. I can't wait to return. Thank You!

Wonderul and relaxing
This property was perfect for us especially after our 2500 mile drive from New Mexico: in the woods, quiet, private, lots of places to walk, an ocean view, a well-stocked kitchen, and lots of artistic touches. The hosts, David and Carolyn, put lots of work and love into the property. We wanted to stay longer. We hope to come back in the future. We really enjoyed our stay at Pine Hill cottage. The house was clean and comfortable and the property was beautiful and peaceful. Our favorite was the little beach where we got to experience the many moods of Maine weather, it was awesome. We hope to visit again someday!

Tranquil respite
My husband, our dog and I just returned from this lovely cottage. We loved it so much we asked to stay longer but it was already booked. David and Carolyn were the most gracious host. The cabin was clean, well stocked with an extremely comfortable bed that made me want to sleep in each day. The house is in the woods but close to town so it is the best of both worlds. We sat on the deck in late afternoon and relaxed looking at nature. We walked down to the bay at the bottom of the property with its stunning views. In the evening you can hear the sounds of nature. We could have stayed there all summer. Thank you David and Carolyn for sharing your little slice of heaven.

Perfect Location / Perfect Accommodations / Perfect Hosts
As we proceeded down the road to Pinehill Cottage we could feel our stress melt away. We were greeted by David and Carolyn who were both so warm and cordial. It was nice to know they were a stone's throw away.
We loved everything about the cottage, inside and out. Truly appreciated the binder they put together with all the things to do in the area. We loved exploring the woods, the shore path, Orange Squeeze, the beach... We are avid kayakers and paddled every day to different islands - our favorite Maine paddling by far!
Such a peaceful place - highly recommend Pinehill and hope to visit again in the future. Thank you David and Carolyn for being the ultimate hosts.

Peaceful cottage near Stonington
This sweet cottage in the woods is a perfect escape from the rest of the world. The mile long private road through a pine forest transports you to this peaceful place. Views of the sloping lawn, cove, and glimpses of the top of Isle Haut greet you from the deck. Carolyn and David are lovely hosts, who ensured that I had what was needed, including finding a charger for my electric car. With Stonington a few minutes away, each morning began with a delicious cup of coffee at 44North!

Tucked away cottage with beautiful views
The cottage is, I think, prettier than the photos. We met both David and Carolyn who are delightful and helpful. What I love about Stonington is that a "crowd" is 15 or 20 people. At the cottage, the only noise we heard were lobster boats going in and out of the harbor, birds and squirrels. The mile-long drive through a Spruce forest ensured a very quiet stay which we were seeking.

First time in Maine girls trip
My daughter and I turn 30 & 60 this year and we celebrated with my sister and niece at this quaint cottage near Stonington Maine. We had a wonderful time seeing the local sites and hiking. The cottage is well equipped for 4 adults - was even better than the pictures - Clean and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and kind. They were readily available if needed. We had a great time and would love to come back!

Deep woods hideaway near the ocean
Neat upscale cabin, comfortable and secluded. Driveway almost a mile long but that added to the secluded feel in a good way. Loved our stay there. Love Deer Isle , anyway. For the price, it was nice and close enough to make a short walk to the water. Other properties on or closer to the water were considerably less affordable.

Wonderful Place
This is our second time staying here and it’s perfect for us. The house is well equipped and the access to the water is ideal. We love the peace and quiet of Stonington and Deer Isle and wish we could stay longer.
