We absolutely loved our stay at Lavender Hill House. It is simply breathtaking and the house has above and beyond anything you could need. The check-in process could not have been smoother and the owners were extremely communicative the entire time. We had chef Slifer come to cook at the house (recommended by the owners) which was a truly highlight! highly reccomend. There's so much attention to detail that exceeds what one normally gets in a rental. Cannot wait to book again. Huge thank you to the owners for everything!

Our time at 'the Lavender House', was an incredible experience. William made the whole process seamless, providing great communication and documentation prior to our check-in process, as well as a very well organized binder on-site with all of the details of the property. The kitchen was frighteningly well stocked, with almost every piece of tableware, flatware, cookware, or bakeware you can imagine, including several decorative sets.
The main house is stunning. Accurate to the photos, and easy to feel at home. The property includes all the basic amenities such as AC and a whole-home stereo system. But to best experience the best of the Lavender House, throw open the massive sliding windows and enjoy the open-air home. The large ceiling fans easily circulate the air when the doors are open and keep the home comfortable at any time.
The bedrooms are welcoming and comfortable, with two primary bedrooms (Master / Guest), a third bedroom complete with bunkbeds, and a guest house with a small kitchenette and bathroom off the main building for added privacy.
The grounds are incredible. A panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and vineyards, outdoor BBQ (x2), pool, hot-tub, bouldering wall, and tennis court, topped off with a picturesque outdoor dining area with a charming set of string lights woven through the tree overhead.
All-in-all, the property is custom tailored for a perfect weekend getaway for you and your friends. We couldn't have had a better experience

Our multi-generation family group had a perfect stay at this lovely property. The quiet hilltop location felt remote and private, even though we were just minutes from Kenwood. The house is as comfortable as it is elegant with everything we needed right there. We played tennis and pickleball, made large meals together which we ate outside under the magestic oak trees, and splashed in or sat by the pool, mesmerized by the stunning views. It was conducive to connection and conversation for our group, as there was little need to leave.

Lovely house in a hilltop setting. The oak trees were spectacular, offering welcome shade and adding greenery and character. Really enjoyed our week here. Well appointed kitchen and grill had everything we needed to serve up some memorable meals soaking up the serenity and the views.

Beautiful home and perfect space for our group of 6. Multiple seating areas inside, large kitchen well-equipped to cook up fabulous dinners and the overall house layout was great! The pickleball/tennis court, corn ball set up and ping pong ended up being a highlight! The property management company and owner were very responsive. The drive up to the property is windy, but well worth it given the amazing views. Bird watching incredible! The house could use some updating, but overall we had a fantastic trip. Special home and location!

There are no words for how stunning this property is. Everywhere you looked from floor to ceiling windows was just serene. We stayed for a weekend in May with family and friends and enjoyed every square footage. The pool, tennis courts, hot tub, outdoor BBQ/entertainment area- there was no reason to leave. We all enjoyed the peaceful fog covered mornings on the deck with our coffee, seeing if the wild turkeys were going to stop by!
House was immaculate, felt like I was living in a show home. All the bedrooms were private with comfortable beds.
William was the best host I have ever encountered. Also quick to answer me, and always with a phone call even if I was interrupting his personal life.
Hope to stay here again! Such a beautiful serene property!!

The house was gorgeous, but the views still take the cake. The kitchen is stocked full of everything you could need to cook in, you won't want to leave! William was responsive, and provided plenty of information to guide your stay.

The property was perfect - so much space for a group of 10 girls for the weekend. Everything was perfectly clean and the beds were super comfortable. We booked a chef to come one night and the place had everything you’d ever need to entertain a group for dinner. William even helped us find a new chef to come last minute when the original person we booked got sick. Will definitely stay here again!!

We spent the weekend touring Napa and Sonoma and the house was perfect! The views and overall setting were more than we could have asked for. We hired a private chef for one of our dinners and the kitchen was the perfect setup! William was amazing in all communication and was very helpful. Definitely would come back and stay again! A really special property in Kenwood that lives up to the pictures. The facilities are amazing - there's tennis, a pool, hot tub, ping pong, speaker system and so much more. The private tennis court also has a bunch of pickleball paddles and other equipment you can you. The kitchen has as many plates and dishes as you'll need and tons of space to cook. Overall, the property is very nicely maintained.
The only thing to keep in mind is the property is far from the main road so you'll need a car or a bike (or a 30+ min walk) to get around.
William was an excellent host. He was very helpful and friendly throughout the whole process. I hope to come back someday!

This home is an absolute dream, on top of a hill with outside views from every room. There is ample outdoor space with swings everywhere—perfect for our family Christmas.

The views (in all directions) make this home feel like a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, especially in fall when the foliage and vineyards are yellow, orange and red. The house is modern while remaining cozy. The property is a private escape, but is minutes from dozens of wineries and tasting rooms. The grocery store in Glen Ellen (Glen Ellen Village Market) is spectacular and there are plenty of restaurants nearby in case you don't feel like cooking. We just love this little slice of earth and can't wait to come back.

This house was absolutely lovely and we woke up every morning to the sound of woodpeckers and to all the animals roaming around. Wonderful views and amazing kitchen. It is a bit far from Napa and St Helena and other reviews have mentioned a windy road, but you can easily take a different route to avoid and the travel time is around the same. William was very responsive and communicative to all our questions and needs during our stay. We hope to be back again someday.

The house and the views on this property were STUNNING! The cozy couches by the fireplace were a great place to enjoy conversation and coffee. The morning sunset outside overlooking the mountains, deer, and hot air balloons were mesmerizing. The backyard was so perfect for fun moments and memories! Fortunately we were able to enjoy the pool on a super hot day and then bundle up in sweaters the next day to enjoy the cooler temperatures. An absolutely must for anyone who wants to enjoy this property to its fullest potential is to hire a private chef for a personalized, in-home meal! The cons- just for those looking to get a true layout of the home- is that there are only 2 showers in the home and only the primary bedroom has a shower/toilet combo. The other two bedrooms don’t have bathrooms, but there are two bathrooms in the hall for those guests to use. The extra cottage house is great too but a little walk to and from it. The converted garage was the coolest room but scorching hot! We were there on very hot days and with no AC it was tough to stay more than a few mins. Luckily we were so busy with wineries and restaurants we didn’t miss it.
This home is approximately 40 mins from Napa and on very very VERY swirvy, mountainside roads that are not for the faint of heart. If you’re planning to do most of your wineries in Napa, plan for this.
All in all, we could not have had a better birthday trip! William was an incredible property manager! Thank you so much!

The property itself is showing some age, but you can't beat the views! We encountered a few issues, but the property owner and manager were impressively responsive. Just be prepared for a decent hike to the wineries. Overall, our family of 8 adults + infant had a wonderful stay.

We had three great nights at this property. Had a private chef come and the kitchen was perfect for that. The grounds were lovely too, and gave us plenty of opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery. I would absolutely come back.

We stayed here for a wedding in August 2023! Property was absolutely incredible and described perfectly! The only issue was the bunk bed situation was a little weird. Fair warning it’s very hard to get Ubers if you don’t schedule ahead so either get a car for schedule one ahead of time! Overall great experience & would absolutely stay here again.

We had a magical time at the lavender house. The setting views and house are next level and it doesn’t get much better than this. The moment we arrived we felt like we shed all our stress away! It’s a little far from everything but 15 minutes from Glen Ellen grocery store. We arrived around 4ish and Christy the property manager was there for a bit cleaning but she was nice. There's something for everyone here and the house is so spacious that adults and kids definitely can have their own space. William was super conscientious and accommodating and quick to fix little issues that we had. We can’t wait to book our next vacation here!

Four of us had an excellent time at this beautiful property. It takes a few minutes to wind your way up the hill to the gates of the house, but it's worth it for the views and it's a very quiet area. However, it's close enough to all of the wineries and great restaurants to have a fabulous stay in wine country. And it's close to the Santa Rosa airport as well if you can fly into there. Will is a great communicator, the house has all of the amenities you could want (jncluding pool, hot tub, tennis court and basketball net), and we would all highly recommend staying here. Hope to be back again!

This home surpassed our expectations! Set on a hillside with amazing views, Lavender Hill House is enchanting. Peacocks and turkey stroll thru the yard, as you sit by the pool or play a game of corn hole. We cooked amazing meals and dined Al fresco. Hiked the hills to find a lush olive grove - just minutes from the Sonoma County vineyards.
The home is well stocked for entertaining, comfortable and beautifully curated with art and natural curiosities. Our host was quickl to respond with any questions we may have had. I am so grateful to have found this gem!

We keep returning to this property and it never disappoints! It has the view to end all views! A well-appointed house with all the amenities (kitchen, bedding, towels, etc) - clean and so comfortable! The owner is very responsive to any questions. (A previous review mentioned the house smelling "stuffy" - we definitely have never experienced that at this property).
