The house was perfect for the 6 of us and our 2 year old grandson. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of cooking utensils to make meals. We enjoyed the pool and the view of the lake.

Our experience, starting with booking, was pleasant! The house is family friendly! Our family enjoyed the activities, pool and kayaking on the lake, that this place offered. Each morning we started our day sipping coffee in the lakeside gazebo watching the sun come up! Simply beautiful and a great way to set the tone for the day! We also enjoyed traveling to the local breweries and wineries. Best of all the host, Christina, was attentive, accommodating, and very pleasant. We are definitely planning to return.

The property manager, Chris was great to work with. We enjoyed the pool on the hot days we had. We enjoyed playing cards and games on the enclosed porch. The house is older and could use a deep cleaning and some repairs to make it more inviting to stay. The house easily accommodated the six adults in our party. We would have enjoyed using the gazebo across the street but it hadn’t been cleaned for the season. Also using the kayaks was not doable since there wasn’t a safe place to launch them.

This was our first time saying at this property and our first vacation with a 1 year old. It was a lovely house in a beautiful location.

My 5 friends and I get together every August - this was our 30th year. This house was the best we have ever found in every way - from the lake to the fire pit patio to the pool area to the house which was spacious and so comfortable. We all decided we would definitely like to come back!

Great house
Wonderful house with 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The rooms were decorated so beautiful. Plenty of room in kitchen. Large front porch with table that could fit at least 8 people. The best part was the great gazebo by the water. Also had a wonderful pool. Definitely I recommend this house.

Wonderful and Warm
The place was very nice, clean and inviting. Chris was a wonderful host as well!
Really nice area to wander between Seneca Falls, Geneva and Ithaca each offering something unique.
There is a State Park down the road with a nice beach and playground.
We would absolutely return.

Summer house by the lake
We enjoyed our stay. The house is older but obviously very well cared for. Most amenities were provided.
The pool was wonderful and the weather cooperated. The lake was right across the street. There were 5 bedrooms, enough room for all 8 of us. We would love to return again.

Weekend get away.
The house had all the amenities for a relaxing weekend get away. The view over looking the lake is beautiful and the gazebo allows you to sit back, relax and watch the sun rise. My friends and I are already thinking of doing this again next year.

Lake Getaway
I stayed here with 3 other adults and 4 kids (under the ages of 7). The house had ample room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. The 5 bedrooms were clean and worked well for us. The pool and fire pit were hits for our families. I highly recommend visiting Wolfy's and renting a boat from a nearby marina for a day out on the lake. The host of this property was very helpful and responsive.

Perfect Setting
We rented this nearby property for our visiting family members. Lake views & sunrises were spectacular!!! Nicely furnished with central air & plenty of parking for all. The weather cooperated during the stay and the children in the party as well as the adults greatly enjoyed the pool . We appreciated the ease of communication with the property manager who was helpful & prompt in answering our questions. All in all, it was a relaxing experience for our family & we will definitely rent again.

Great getaway!
Two families stayed at this lovely property. The bedrooms were very spacious - I was a little worried about the room AC units in August versus central air but the house was very cool despite very warm weather. The pool was clean and we enjoyed it daily - the lake views were gorgeous! We enjoyed paddleboarding and kayaking and just floating in the lake. The street was quiet and it was just a very lovely and peaceful getaway. We did do takeout at Wolfy's one night and hit a couple of wineries - just a lovely trip and I'm sure we will be back!

Great older house on the house to the lake. Wineries and dining all within a short distance. Check-in/check-out could not be any easier.

Great family gathering place
We rented the Cayuga Lake House for a family and friend get together. A few of us were competing in the Musselman Triathlon in Geneva, just 25 minutes away, so this looked like a good location. It turned out to be much more than just a good location - the property is beautiful, clean, and well kept. The pool is crystal clear, the patio had a fire pit, and the outdoor grill was clean with a brand new tank of propane. The 5 bedrooms all have large comfy beds (I think Queen size, maybe one king size), air conditioners, extra towels, and plenty of charm. The family room and front enclosed porch area are perfect for hanging out, talking, and sharing some wine. The kitchen is fully equipped just like being home.
Owner/management are very pleasant to deal with, answered all e-mails promptly, and are very accommodating.
You can't go wrong staying here, especially if it is for a family and friend get together.

Graduation weekend
We really enjoyed the property. It's a bit away from Cornell and Ithaca. Going back and forth needs planning!

Beautiful and cozy house with an incredible view
The house is beautifully decorated inside with big beds, large dining tables, a beautiful view to the lake and a lake porch with rocking chairs. It was a dream come true! I wish I could have stayed longer and I hope to return again.

Simply amazing
This house is amazing! It has everything we were looking for. So close to wineries and breweries as well as the town to get food. Or you can walk down the driveway and there is a bar/restaurant with live music. And the view of the lake is perfect. Beds are comfy and the AC units help so much! We hope to come back next year. And the year after that...

QUAINT
This is an older home, but it is nicely decorated, clean, and user friendly. Pool, fire pit on the back deck, overlooking the lake, shaded lake side shelter, and enclosed front porch to the house. We went for our grandson's graduation from Cornell. We enjoyed walking to Wolfy's for food and drinks. It was a simple drive to Ithaca. Close to get groceries too. Chris Lambert could not have been a nicer person to coordinate this rental. Very quick to respond if we had any questions. I would go again for sure! Thanks for everything!

Just What We Wanted
Our stay at Cayuga Sunrise was just what we were hoping for.
The 5 bedrooms and floor plan accommodated our family of 6 adults and 2 children under the age of 7 easily. The closed in front porch was great "bonus" space where adults and kids played games, put puzzles together, etc.
The hard wood/laminate flooring throughout the house and window A/C units gave our family members with strong allergies a chance recover from the outdoors. And, although a pet friendly rental, no one had allergy troubles sitting on the living room couch.
We called Chris a couple of different times to ask questions about the area and the pool. She responded quickly and cheerfully with helpful answers.
The gazebo down by the water is a beautiful place to sit by the lake and we used the waterfront access daily to launch our canoe and the two kayaks we rented from Puddledockers in Ithaca (Bring good water shoes. The rocks are rocky!).
The pool area was perfect. We could swim with the kids while getting dinner ready on the grill and then transition quickly from pool to dinner in the outdoor sitting/eating areas.
The kitchen was immaculate and had more than enough dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc. to get the kid's mac & cheese made while also grilling steaks and serving wine to adults. The dishwasher worked hard for us!
The area was great for both kids and adults. Super children's parks, restaurants, groceries, etc. within 5 to 40 minutes drive depending on your mood.
In sum, thanks Chris for organizing a great stay for us. It was a treat to stay in a unique, original lake house with such wonderful character while also enjoying great modern amenities like cable TV, a microwave and a pool!

Perfect in every way!
Like every house we rent, I am always nervous before we get there. I was much more at ease because of dealing with Chris. She was amazing and so accommodating. We went up for NYE and wine tasting. Chris even left us wood for the fireplace. The house was beautiful and so clean. I felt like I was home. We even saw the ball drop in Seneca Falls after having dinner. I would definitely recommend this house to others...only problem is, they will fall in love with it too and then there won't be any weekends left!!!! Thank you Chris for everything!!!!!

Perfect and Welcoming
The house appeared to be newly remodeled and was nicely appointed. The patio and pool in the back was beautiful and a peaceful retreat.
Still, by far, the best featured of this home is its location. If you are looking for a place close to everything or one you can retreat to for a quick rest before returning to the action, this is the place for you.
Fantastic location lakefront. The backyard is an oasis. Location was awesome. And cleanliness was impressive. The pool and outside area was great! The pool area was great to relax in after a day of visiting the museums, too. So glad we found this place!
The gazebo at lakefront provided for great relaxation as we would watch the fisherman catching the catch for the local restaurants, (we loved Wolffys Grill). We cooked meals on the grill poolside which was a nice break from dining out. Enjoyed our breakfast and dinner overlooking the lake.
From the dining room and living room, you can also see the lake. We did do more cooking during this visit than in the past and found that the kitchen has everything you might need. The home is close to many wineries.
Great amenities, and at the same time have all the comforts of home, a clean home, beautifully decorated, responsive manager - Management made sure we were comfortable. all in all a great stay!

FAMILY HOMESTEAD
This was our family home up till 1982 when mom and dad sold it. We brought 4 generations back to the home for a week this summer...we did rent a second home north of the park for the third and fourth generations. My parents put in the pool, but the addition of the patio and fire pit was great. We had a fire most ever night and made smores. Our kids learned to dive and swim in the pool, and fish in the lake. Our only concern, it seems items may not get repaired, but in many cases closed down...hot tub gone, dock not in, expensive boat lift needs repair. However, all-in-all the home is in good shape, but may not remain without a little more owner TLC. Realize it is forsale (kids suggested we buy it) and this adds to the lack of re-investment. We hope the owners will keep it up and we get a chance to return in 2016...2015 we have a summer wedding in San Antonio. It is the premier rental in the Finger Lakes.

Lovely house in great location
A few days before our trip I checked this page and was horrified to read the only review at the time warning of the supposed noise hating neighbor, however as a small group with no plans to party we hoped there wouldn't be an issue. We were therefore very pleasantly surprised (and just a bit relieved!) when we read about the nice gentleman next door who appreciated a bit of peace and quiet, which is hardly an unreasonable request.
The house itself is very spacious, with comfy beds and several areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful views over the lake, especially the lovely large and airy porch. We also enjoyed watching the sunset from the gazebo.
Communication from the Property Manager was excellent and our security deposit arrived home almost faster than we did.
