Very large house with lots of rooms. Spacious is an understatement! The kitchen is full of absolutely anythind you could need and the dining room is big enough for 21 people. Ample garage space too.

My family and I had an incredible time staying at the Grand Chalet. The entire experience exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend this property. We will definitely book again sometime in the future. Thanks!

I have nothing to compare this to because I have never done this before - learned a lot about what to expect Bottom line, everyone had fun with no major problems to deal with, a functioning Hot tub and comfortable beds made this an overall success, considering we wanted this location also.

We loved it very much.

Rented the Grand Hyak to be close to the Summit at Snoqualmie. Had a blast skiing every day and enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, and game room each night. Teodor was a wonderful host. He responded quickly to all our questions. We will return!

This house is exactly what we were looking for. All spread out for privacy if you need a break from visiting with family. The gathering areas were huge so no problem social distancing. Location superb.

House was clean and check-in was seamless. The hot tub was definitely the best feature. Note that the house doesn’t have a yard or really any outdoor space to enjoy nice weather, so it would be best enjoyed in the winter as opposed to summer. One suggestion would be to add string lights to the outdoor deck for both lighting and ambiance. Overall it was a nice last minute change of scenery with our small qurantine pod of friends.

We loved this house and it was perfect for our group of families including kids aged 8-13. The location was perfect as we could get to skiing easily and the tubing park was close by. On a special note, one of the people in our group left something behind and both the owner and housekeeper went out of the way to get it back to us.

This is the fourth year we've reserved the Grand Hyak Chalet, and we are extremely pleased with all aspects of the process. Teodore and Monica are very responsive and communicate extremely well. They have made continual enhancements over the years to an already beautiful facility. Our resident physicians love it here for their annual wellness retreat, and we plan to make our reservation there for next year. Quick access to skiing; instructions about the chalet are very clear.

Check in process was simple and Teodor was very easy to get in touch with when needed. The area we stayed was gorgeous.

We had a very comfortable stay with friends and family over the Thanksgiving weekend. Teodor offered us an early check-in as the weather was expected to turn rough later in the evening. He followed up during our stay to ensure we are comfortable. We look forward to visit again. Thanks

House is certainly large enough for a group, but many might be on mats...count beds carefully. Rather close neighbors for a Chalet. Our biggest complaint is that they have covered all backyard outdoor space with an addition one floor up. That room is nice, but doesn’t allow for any sunny summer outdoor lounging below. We had to go find sun in the driveway. Probably great for winter, but not so great in summer.

This is our second year staying at the Grand Chalet. We love the location for skiing , sledding, snow shoeing. Hot tub and sauna were enjoyed by all.

We had a fantastic 3 day weekend at Grand Chalet. The house is close to the John Wayne Trail for snow shoeing and cross country skiing. It's a 10 minute walk with the kids to the sledding hill. Walking distance to Summit East lift. Everything was so close! Teodor was an excellent host and was quick to reply to any questions both before and during our stay. The large add on room off the kitchen is awesome - and it made the home easy to entertain our group of 14 adults and 6 kids. There was plenty of space for some to board game or puzzle, some to chill in the basement, some to enjoy the hot tub, etc. Couple quirks that give this property 4 instead of 5 stars - it lists that it sleeps 36 - which I suppose it could? You'd have to line up foam pads one next to the other in the large upstairs bedrooms to make that happen. There is a queen bed in each of 5 rooms and bunk beds in the 6th. Everyone else had to sleep on foam pads (provided) on the floor. If you are over 40 it made for a really uncomfortable night's sleep. So we got up early and got going! And had a great stay.

We had a large group stay at the Grand Chalet and it was absolutely lovely! Our group has been coming to the Hyak Grand Chalet for several years now for our professional retreats and it gets better and better. The property is clean and spacious and there are plenty of beds, couches, and mattress pads for all to sleep. This past year the owners built a huge covered addition onto the living/dining area and this serves as a great gathering space. The location is perfect for skiing at Snoqualmie or shoe showing/hiking at Gold Creek. We will definitely return next year! Thank you. Teodore and Monica, for hosting us yet again!

This spacious, comfortable house was perfect for our group of friends (10 adults, 2 kids) in the area for a wedding. The shuffleboard and foosball table were big hits, as were the hot tub and sauna. Although we did not cook during our stay, it seemed that the kitchen was well-stocked with all of the necessary appliances and utensils. Teodor is a very responsive host, and we appreciated being able to check in a couple of hours early. The only criticism of the accommodations I have is that the room that supposedly has two bunk beds actually has one bunk bed and also a "bunk-cot", where two cots are stacked on one another. This is made up for by the fact that there is an abundance of sleeping mats to use instead. I would have gladly given this house five stars were it not for the #1 rule on the check-out instructions: ***Please take all of your garbage with you when you leave.*** I have never been to a vacation rental before that required you to pack out all of your garbage. Teodor was very apologetic, but firm about this rule. When I asked him where we could dispose of the garbage from our stay, he told me that he could not give me any advice and added that there is no place to dump garbage in the area and warned me that there are security cameras all around Snoqualmie Pass. He twice informed me that no other guests ever complained about this policy. I can see if you are driving up from your home in Seattle that it would be a relatively small nuisance to pack your garbage in the car back home with you, but our group had flown in from points around the country. Were we supposed to check our garbage on the airplane? Given the whopping $1,000 security deposit the owners required, it became a point of worry for me during the latter half of our trip-- what were we going to do with our garbage? I had no intentions of illegally dumping it, but our host was of no help suggesting a solution. After much discussion amongst our group, I offered on the morning of check-out to pay extra to him so that we did not have to carry our garbage back home with us. Teodor agreed at that time to haul it away in his truck for $5 per bag. By that time, I was ecstatic to pay $5 (plus tax!) per bag (there were four bags from a 3-night stay). If he had said up front, there will be a $5 fee per bag-- or even better, worked it into his pricing structure-- there would have been none of my vacation time spent worrying or texting back forth about it.

If you want a great blend of amenities, scenery, and QUIET for a summer trip, this is the place for you. The chalet comfortably hosted our group of 11 with plenty of space to spare. Far from feeling crowded, the chalet was spacious and had activities for everyone: from spa to tv to sauna to shuffleboard to fire pit...and yes, even tv if that's what you want to do. Beautiful hikes and bodies of water (falls, ponds, and lakes) are just several minutes away. I highly recommend the Grand Chalet.

We were on our organizations retreat and we all had a wonderful time sharing this space!

There was 9 of us, and we were very comfortable and warm. This beautiful chalet has everything you might need and a lot of area to store our snow gear. My kids enjoyed the sauna daily, and their sleeping space & the game room. The kitchen is comfortable to cook in and the dining table was large enough for us to have meals together. The sleds were a lot of fun too. The location is perfect, near the ski and snowboard lifts. The hosts are very accomadating and easy to reach with anything you might need. We've had very relaxing and memorable experiance here...hard to leave.

Well-appointed, spacious, great amenities, and close to everything! Accomodated our family of 12 comfortably and made our winter break most enjoyable. Our hosts were friendly and helpful during our stay and we all appreciated the use of their lovely home!

We love working with Monica and Teodore, landlords on this property. The accommodations were beautiful and meticulous. We intend on reserving the property, if available, next year as well.

This was a great place to spend the weekend with our family . Skiing, sledding, all right there. Bedrooms were roomy and game room downstairs was wonderful for kids to play and have fun. Owner was very attentive to our needs.

Our adult kids, spouses and grandkids joined us for a happy time at the Grand Chalet. It was wonderful to have so many bedrooms--and such spacious bedrooms. It was great having wood floors for cleaning up after little ones. We also liked that we only needed to drive an hour and a half to get to such a great place in the snow and yet a nice quiet street where the kids could play without worrying about traffic. The owners were very kind to us.

We enjoyed the stay at the Chalet, we had a great New Year Eve party and we had fun playing in the snow. The owner is very responsive and resourceful. We told him that the oven was not working properly and in less than 3 hours he came home with a new oven, new microwave and a bottle of champagne free for us.

Great attentive owners too.
